It came out really good, especially for it being your first time. Some crystal or glass hardware would have elevated it up a few notches & really made it Barbie.

Not a real fan of pink but you can’t use anything else when you’re painting for Barbie! It turned out great and congrats on trying something different. You did a great job. Hope it flies out of your garage!

Blending paint on flat canvas isn’t easy, I don’t think. I can’t imagine trying on furniture. You stepped out of your comfort zone and did great! I loved how you dressed to match throughout, it was visually pleasing. I hope you will update as to how it sold.

Cute outfits throughout this video. If I had a little girl, I would buy that dresser! Love how it came out! I'm an artist, and blending colors from light to dark or the reverse is definitely a difficult skill to perfect. But, I usually just say "that's why it's called art" 😊

Fantastic job for a first attempt. Do a couple more, and you'll probably start to really enjoy the technique. Great save on that drippy top coat. It's nice that you shared that. It let's people know that mistakes still happen even when you've done something a hundred times.

Loved, Loved, Loved the intro😁 Great job of stepping out of your comfort zone. I think it turned out great. Wouldn’t go in my bedroom but thought the color scheme would fit right in in my craft room…. if my craft room were at least double the size it is!! This gave me the inspiration to hombre each drawer front of my four drawer cabinets a slightly lighter color than the previous drawer (no blending!!). Thank you for sharing😁😁😁

Oh honey, I am so very proud of you! First of all you did some thing outside your comfort zone and some thing Fun and cute. Then you did a excellent job with the blending especially for first time. But I’m most impressed with how when things went wrong with the topcoat, you didn’t throw in the towel even though I’m sure you felt so overwhelmed and discouraged. And good job listening to your boyfriend and giving it a try because I was feeling really sad for you. I wanted it to go well for you so badly. So great teamwork and an incredible bowl job in so many ways👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Well said! Sometimes it takes a novice to come in & make a suggestion, especially since Lauren was so nervous about the technique it was hard to get perspective. I love that Lauren showed the mess up & her true feelings & how she rallied. I was feeling so discouraged for her. If Lauren couldn’t think of a fix then it was unfixable. WHEW! Quick fix solution! This real time problem & solution was so good to see.

I've been thinking for a while to refurb/refab-ulous a mid-height basic shelf for a while. Its black and doesn't really fit in with my living room which is going for greys/white/red.
Couldn't convince myself to make it white or trouble myself to make it grey.
Now I think maybe a bold red wouldn't look so bad, and a fade effect might be really nice. Reminds me of Ombre cakes. Maybe I could get away with doing a drip down the sides to go with the cake theme.
This came out very pretty., great job. 💗 💗 New sparkly crystal or glass hardware or painting or gilding the original hardware would have made it even better.
The ombré look is definitely a challenge though do …. But I think you did a great job 🎉!!!

When your topcoat runs, let it dry and sand down the drips before applying another coat. Keep up the good work
