Gotta say, I might have chosen a solid color for the seat cushions, maybe a color close to the table legs. However, you have a great eye for what you like in your own space, you weren’t selling the chairs so it’s whatever YOU like best. Super easy to switch out if you ever want a new look, too. Love the whole set!
The rug is so pretty - personally I would’ve opted for a plain colour that compliments the rug. Anything with a design ‘fights’ the carpet …. Just my opinion 🌸 Love your channel ❤
Need to get a plainer rug. The Aztec design fights it. You don't have to throw the rug into a cenote as an offering to the gods, put it in the Air BNB.
I love the Aztec print, love the colours, and it looks very trendy. Just not with the rug. The colours might match well, but the prints are too different. I think that’s what’s making it not 100% cohesive, in my opinion. 🥰 I admire all the hard work that went into it. Well done. 👏🏻
I like the floral pattern better than the Aztec design but would choose a solid color, either the blue of the table legs or yellow to match the tv stand, I just felt the patterns clashed with the rug even though they had similar colors. But I do like the chairs! Great find!
Truthfully, I personally think the aztec fabric clashes terribly with your dining rug. The new fabric you bought is very beautiful and a so much better fit with the the rug and the whole room! I mean, since you asked 😁
I think the aztec material looks really nice with your table. Personally that's the fabric I would choose. I love the blue on the table legs. It looks so nice.
My vote is the fabric from Joann's. I like the floral print a lot. If it was my dining set, I'd want the cushions refreshed as well as the wood. You just don't know what the old fabric may be harboring in the way of stains and germs.
I really like the original fabric! I think it looks great. However, I think I might not use the patterned rug under the dining room table. I might just not use a rug or something simple like a natural fiber without a pattern so the chairs can pop. I know… you didn’t ask about the rug. But I think I’d work around the chair fabric. It looks vintage mid century to me. :)
The floral you chose from Joanns is way prettier. The “Aztec” pattern is outdated, faded looking and competes with your rug instead of complimenting it.
I like the new fabric way more . The one you chose doesn’t really match with your rug . It takes away with how pretty the rug is . But it’s your house and you go with the one that you like best 😊. Continue blessings
I love that you kept the geometric design on. It really fits that design style of the chairs. Well done! Perhaps when you get tired of that fabric, you could just swap out for the other fabric that you have purchased. The chairs are adorable!
I appreciate both patterns.....most important is to enjoy the fruits of your labor. I would love to try to tackle such a project. You guys inspire me. I've been watching for a while and enjoy your transformations.
Hey there, Lauren, I love that you were able to re-use those colorful seats! Works perfectly with your theme of your company. I am a huge fan. Travel to Omaha several times a year. Hope to meet you one day! 23:53 😅
I do enjoy watching your videos and your willingness to make due with what you have on hand. The chairs are beautiful and simple lines. However, I will say this the rug is full of nice colors. Even the fabric you purchased was busy for the rug. Who am I to say, whatever you're comfortable with is all that is important. You guys are doing awesome on your journey. Busy is Busy and too much busy does not always compliment one another. Same colors well, don't always work if it is too busy. I am with you on the note, they were able to be cleaned and will last for a while. Who is sittling on them? You so who else cares. A multilcolored rug, a solid color cushion. simple. Not busy.. I love the chairs and you got a great deal on them... Mid Century Modern is so popular now. What I know about asking opinions, every one has one. If you like it and are satisfied with it, who cares what someone else thinks. You are the one living with it. : ))
I like mixing fabrics and if you like good it looks, go for it! I think i may have just recovered for it to be new, like a mental thing. If choosing from scratch, im thinking something darker just to hide spills and general use. Feel like something darker may go with the richness of the wood tones you have so beautifully done. But again, if you like it, that's wonderful! Fabric chairs will need to be recovered again in their lifetime and you will have opportunities to experiment. What a great find and great work as always. Love your style
Hi, I like the chairs. I got some similar ones about 20 years ago and still use them. I had to strip them down and redo them like you did but these are great chairs. I have recovered mine a few times and what works the best is fabric that can be wiped off. Even if you are careful you will spill food on them. I use textured vinyl in a neutral pattern or something in that family. This is not expensive and recovering the chairs takes less than one hour or so.
Sue Wolfe- The original fabric is hands down a better choice. It compliments all of your colors well and if you can find authentic MCM fabric, you have a big win!! Btw, Joann's will let you return the fabric with a receipt. Great job, Lauren, it looks great and I'm a bit jealous!! 😉👍❤️
I just got two dining room chairs left on the side of the street that we're refinishing. The cushions were stained with something nasty that went through to the cushions. I bought new foam and fabric from Joann's. It was perfect timing to see you do your chairs!
Luv, luv, luv watching you bring life back into pcs. Always been interested in redoing furniture, but never had the time. Right?? Now if I could just get 20 yrs back. I'm 70. I would be good. lol. Great job! ... Glenda
Man… I’ve been looking for chairs exactly like this for months to go with my dining table to refinish. But I need 6 of them…these are beautiful… as usual beautiful job!
Hey , I love watching your videos, I myself have refinished a oak dining table and 4chair , I would (if you love them)remove the fabric under the blue ones and wash them and buy new foam, then recover with all clean and new seats ! ❤
The Aztec print is to bold for the rug. I love the floral print but I don't think that one matches either. I would go for a solid rug or a solid fabric.Which do you like better?
I have four chairs like that in 2-inch scale, for one of my large dollhouses. I also have the table, the hutch, and the buffet that match them -- a total miniature score. I don't think I've ever even SEEN a set in real life scale. They look amazing!
Hi, Really cool looking chairs. Nice job giving them a face lift. The geometric fabric looks cool. I would suggest a different rug. Perhaps a solid rug that compliments a color on the chair fabric. Thanks
Growing up my father had his record player in the dinning room on a small table next to the dining table. It played daily almost all day unless the tv was on. I green up on orchestral to rock to jazz ect… basically everything music was always my background. I can sing or hum any elevator ride lol it’s a gift my pops left me RIP.
What a find. Love the style chairs. Great job on restoring the wood. Not too in love with the cushions . I would have chosen something more modern but if you and hubby like them that is all that matters. Hope you find the perfect record player console to incorporate.
I’m glad you are happy with the chairs. I would never have gone with the fabric you chose. In my opinion it clashes. There are plenty of fabrics that would have gone. I would have picked a color out of the rug and gone with a stripe or solid.
I love the pattern on the chairs! What a happy surprise! Saved you some time, too. I did love that fabric you picked from Joann though. Maybe you could make some pillows for your sofa from it. Either way, I love how the table and chairs look in your space!
As I’m watching this, I came home from buying the same exact work table off Facebook marketplace. I had been doing so many projects without a bench for years & i understand the struggle you were describing. I was so glad to come across this one for only $80 in like new condition while it’s at Home Depot for around $300.
Gotta say, I might have chosen a solid color for the seat cushions, maybe a color close to the table legs. However, you have a great eye for what you like in your own space, you weren’t selling the chairs so it’s whatever YOU like best. Super easy to switch out if you ever want a new look, too. I agree , very busy.
100%
Neither one.
Need to get a plainer rug. The Aztec design fights it. You don't have to throw the rug into a cenote as an offering to the gods, put it in the Air BNB.
I agree, it ‘s too busy!

I agree. Awful clash of patterns. A solid color for the chair would have been much more appealing. 😬
I agree clashes with the rug. I would use a solid color for chair cushions.
Agree, but I didn’t care for either fabric
I think the aztec material looks really nice with your table. Personally that's the fabric I would choose. I love the blue on the table legs. It looks so nice.
I like the fabric you chose better than the aztecky print!
My vote is the fabric from Joann's. I like the floral print a lot. If it was my dining set, I'd want the cushions refreshed as well as the wood. You just don't know what the old fabric may be harboring in the way of stains and germs.
They aren’t going to be licking them.
Shes a thrifter.
I really like the original fabric! I think it looks great. However, I think I might not use the patterned rug under the dining room table. I like the fabric you bought the best. They look great Lauren! 🥰🥰🥰
The floral looks a lot more high-end, the Aztec seems like an outdoor design and has a cheaper look to it.
ahhh, I didn't think of it like that! I will keep it in case I ever want to change it up!
The floral you chose from Joanns is way prettier. The “Aztec” pattern is outdated, faded looking and competes with your rug instead of complimenting it.

NICE ! 🙂👍💛
What a beautiful set. You have a real eye for what goes well together. Your work is amazing.
I love that you kept the geometric design on. It really fits that design style of the chairs. Well done! Perhaps when you get tired of that fabric, you could just swap out for the other fabric that you have purchased. The chairs are adorable!
The one with the flowers ❤
Your chairs turned out great! I also like the look of the original fabric.
Love the original geometric pattern, really echoes the rug and all of the throw pillows you collected.
I LOVE the original material for the chairs, love that vintage mid century look , they look fantastic 👏👏👏
Floral for sure!!!
I appreciate both patterns.....most important is to enjoy the fruits of your labor. I would love to try to tackle such a project. You guys inspire me. I've been watching for a while and enjoy your transformations.
Love the original fabric, Lauren! Great job!🥰👍💜

What cool chairs! Neimus is a keeper!! You two make such a great team!
I like the Joanne's fabric for the chairs.
Love the Aztec print!! You definitely made the right decision!! Beautiful!!!❤❤❤
Like the cover that is already on the chairs
I do enjoy watching your videos and your willingness to make due with what you have on hand. The chairs are beautiful and simple lines. However, I will say this the rug is full of nice colors. Love what you did! You went with the flow and didn’t overthink it.👏❤️🔥🔥👏❤️🔥🔥
Wow, what a surprise for that fabric underneath 💛🧡💛 I do like your fabric best!
Love that geometric fabric! Chairs turned out fantastic and goes so well with the table.
You did strike gold!! The chairs turned out awesome and the fabric was perfect with the other items throughout the two spaces!! Chef’s kiss 💋
Beautiful im glad you went with the Aztec watching from Australia 😊
Floral!!!!
GREAT JOB ON THE CHAIRS 👍 I LOVE THE STAIN THAT U PUT ON THE CHAIRS .AFTER U SAND THEM DOWN...AWESOME 😉KEEP UP THE AMAZING JOB THAT U DO..👍
Hi Lauren! I worked in an Antique Shop for a couple of years, as you know the Haywood Wakefield pieces are very sought after!
Yes! they are very nice quality! glad I was able to restore them!
@@FurnitureFlippingTeacher Me too! Your Home is looking cozy and inviting.

I'm a big fan of pattern mixing and that aztec pattern is so nicely uniform in the shape and repeating pattern I think it works great.
Such a beautiful set now. I love both so much.
Beautiful work! Love the whole effect!
Flowers! 🌸 💐🌹🌺🌷🌻🥀🌼
Love the flip. Chair covers look great. Thanks for sharing . Catch you next time 😊
Definitely need either a solid color on the chair seats or a solid color rug. The two different patterns clash. The chairs came out great though!
Love that “Aztec “ fabric. I love mixing fabrics with similar colors.
I like the floral.
Solid color would compliment the rug and not compete.
I love the original fabric and it definitely compliments your rug!
Love it!
The patterns are great!
I have learned sooooo much from your videos. I love flipping furniture as well!!
The chairs turned out beautifully. Keep up the good work.
Flowers for sure
You made the right choice. The Aztec pattern works perfect with the rug and everything else. So cute
New fabric! It’s beautiful
What a great find. The table and chairs are lovely. You did a beautiful job! Looks so pretty!

The flowered material looks so sophisticated
I really wanted to say the new fabric but I have to admit I love the old fabric.
Florals please!
Floral will look better with that antique style rug.
Great Mid-century pieces!.......I'd like to see a bit more padding on the seats!
The new fabric.
I really like the flowers fabric.
I really love the fabric and I'm so glad you kept it, it all turned out fabulous.
I just got two dining room chairs left on the side of the street that we're refinishing. The cushions were stained with something nasty that went through to the cushions. I bought new foam and fabric from Joann's. It was perfect timing to see you do your chairs!
What a lucky find. the geometric fabric looks better than the new piece you had found....Good thing that it was in good shape.
Definitely the Aztec design that is on the chairs. The fabric you chose is too busy for the space. Yay! Good choice!!!
Luv, luv, luv watching you bring life back into pcs. Always been interested in redoing furniture, but never had the time. Right?? Now if I could just get 20 yrs back. I'm 70. I would be good. lol. Great job! ... Glenda
You can still do it! just take it one day at a time (:
I love the new fabric better. Old one seems to clash with the beautiful rug but you do you!
Man… I’ve been looking for chairs exactly like this for months to go with my dining table to refinish. But I need 6 of them…these are beautiful… as usual beautiful job!
Very very nice Lauren. Fantastic work and your home looks lovely
Love your videos.. you are very determined and creative.. keep on keeping on!
Hey , I love watching your videos, I myself have refinished a oak dining table and 4chair , I would (if you love them)remove the fabric under the blue ones and wash them and buy new foam, then recover with all clean and new seats ! ❤
The fabric is perfect! What a find!
I really like the floral is very pretty and not too busy. I think you’ll be happy if you chose that one. I love watching you you do wonderful work.
The chairs look great. especially the new wood finish!
I like the floral pattern, the Aztec is very playful. Either way you can’t go wrong.
The Aztec print is to bold for the rug. I love the floral print but I don't think that one matches either. I would go for a solid rug or a solid fabric.Which do you like better?

Really cool looking chairs. Nice job giving them a face lift. The geometric fabric looks cool. I would suggest a different rug. Perhaps a solid rug that compliments a color on the chair fabric.
Thanks
Another awesome video! Thank you both.
Really nice job! I do love the beautiful wood.
I like ❤the flowers it definitely looks better to me.
SO COOL BEAUTIFUL DINNING SET SAVED FROM THE LANDFILL VINTAGE GREAT QUALITY AND USA MADE
The aztec fabric is a great MCM cohesiveness! Nice work
Floral, for sure. Aztec design is "cutesy" but more outdoor friendly. Floral has a classier look.
The new one would definitely go with your rug ❤
Growing up my father had his record player in the dinning room on a small table next to the dining table. It played daily almost all day unless the tv was on. I green up on orchestral to rock to jazz ect… basically everything music was always my background. I can sing or hum any elevator ride lol it’s a gift my pops left me RIP.
The flower print is MUCH nicer.
Florals looks more expensive to me! The retro design reminds me of the fifties . Looks stunning
Beautiful set!
Aztek for sure. Very complimentary to your other pieces.
Absolutely love the chairs!!!
I also really like the fabric!!! It was meant to be.
I like the vintage fabric you found! You can always use the other fabric for throw pillows or other chair.
17:05 I really like the geometric designs!
Floral
What a find. Love the style chairs. Great job on restoring the wood. Not too in love with the cushions . I would have chosen something more modern but if you and hubby like them that is all that matters. Hope you find the perfect record player console to incorporate.

As for the fabric..i think whatever you like best is the winner! After all its in your home and you look at it daily. 😊.
