God I love the new no plastic window packaging from Hasbro. I like my figures missing their heads and accessories. Bonus feature they come pre scuffed with extra dirt.

But I think if you are open and honest about your collection with your potential significant other and see where they stand on it is a great start! The biggest aspect is being forthcoming about it.

I have a friend who collect WW2 model kits. One day his visiting sister let her children into his man cave to play with the "toys". When he got home for work he finds his entire collection utterly destroyed. The sister said she will pay for everything. When she find out how much the "toys" worth she was shocked. The man is so broken he never wanted to have a children of his own.

i am a 30 plus year toy collector but i have no actual toy collector friends, so i am not the only person that HATES Pops? i genuinely did not know that. i will never not be glad that i am not a carded collector, i have bought carded figures before and they show up in a bubble mailer. luckily i was going to open them anyway. i am almost at the "i dont need more action figures" point, but thats mostly because no one is making the figures i want any more. i only collect 18th scale and i dont like retro style gimmick figures. uh, i actually do laugh when my non toy collector friends start telling me how much my collection must be worth and then lamenting on how rich they would be if they had just kept all those figures they use to have. people have a VERY incorrect perception of the value of the average toy collections, do not get into it if you are a greed motivated person.
