Well, Honestly I've been dabbling in the fitness side of things and have been creating content pertaining to that for a little over a year now. The only problem I'm having is that being a smaller youtuber it's actually a little harder for me to draw attention to a category that is ( in its own way) oversaturated. So what I've done Instead, is create content I myself would personally enjoy watching; which ultimately lead to my channel drifting in a bunch of different directions. Ive been trying to practice getting better at using premiere for my edits, and its coming along slowly but surely. HOWEVER, because of my recent changes to my channel, it definitely gives off a much different vibe than when I started, which can be both a good and bad thing.

Such good advice. I started shooting some video for churches that I visited just for fun, and its opened multiple opportunities to continue to work. Plus when I post them on social media the church gets exposure (which they always message and thank me for) and because they usually share it on their facebook page I get some exposure as well. Win-win.

Thanks for this video! I really would like to help local businesses get their social media setup in order to help bring in more business. I am currently working full time, so at the moment I'm currently working on improving my skills. I made a interview video for my friends wedding and they loved it. I'm really happy they will be using it on their wedding.
Can't wait to work with more people, I really see myself working with making videos and shooting photos. It's one of my favorite things to do, besides riding motorcycles and spending time with my family.

im a 15 year old from jamaica i had 28 jobs in the past mostly photoshoots, 1 government video shoots(the best and most succesful) and im just doing free shoots now for stores to try get my name out as a good product photographer and filmmaker...people usually doubt me for my age tho.

This was better than the video on how to set up the studio. That video went too fast and didn't list what you are using and where to buy it, and price. My only take away from that one was to look for the LED lights for my desk. I like your blue look. This video on content creation was great and I sent the link to others.
I've always enjoyed the camera, but now teaching myself videography to capture my own work as a Caterer. My YT channel is Chefpolice Catering. So I'm learning to capture my food adventures, catering job, and culinary creations. Having fun too!

How do you start off getting your youtube out there? Like what if you have the content..have the quality..but need the following. Is it the thumbnails? Titles? Self promotion?
Try Facebook Video, lots more reach and the algorithm is different as well. Should kick up the view and you can push them to RUclips From Facebook

I will not suggest to work for free if a client is approaching you.
Just for the portfolio like passion projects? Then it's your choice. But one should always try to get paid.

Be careful with that definition of "spec work", spec work usually defines (free) work given by clients with no budget and a promise of "exposure" or the possibility of more work in the pipeline. So it really seems like you're suggesting that creators take matters into their own hands, create fictional work (work with no actual client behind it) Other than that great video! Great tips!

I just started as a content creator on Instagram. I make videos raising awareness and sharing medical information in a fun and interesting way. I am not sure where this would get me and how I will gain money from this. Nice video, but please if you are watching this video never work for free! The industry needs to respect creatives. This is 2019. People needs food, clothes and a roof over their heads, never work for free.
It doesn’t matter what brand or company , let them pay you at least $5 , but never work for free. Because you took your time and energy to get off bed. Respect your creativity.
