Valuable video, Katie! What actually worked for me is engaging with other followers in my niche to increase my engagement rate (I'm lazy so I use quicky social for that), then posting high-quality reels. Thanks for sharing your ideas and all the best.
This level of organization is so cool. I'm attempting to build up my instagram following and build a youtube shorts channel and I think getting a little more organized will help. also love how you differentiate your instagram reels. would love a video on how youtube shorts should differ from reels.
@@katie Yes please show a shorts-tiktok-reels batch strategy and the differences in each. I've been searching for a while for someone to teach this. Thank you!
I just paused the video to sincerely thank you back, Katie❤ I smiled at this part of the video since every time I watch your videos it’s like I’m talking to a friend - you have such a positive and warm energy and I love being a part of your community here on RUclips. Thanks for all the work you do!
I just watched SO MANY of your videos they were incredibly helpful. I'm on my content grind right now and was wondering, do you have any tips about what a content calendar for a musician might look like? I'm having trouble balancing how much should be promoting my own music vs other original content. Ultimately music is the product (so it might mean lower engagement), but also I suppose you could argue there's entertainment/original value in performance videos? Anyway, keep it up it's super helpful!
It is important to remember the industry/nice that you are creating content in. Although all of this advice is good and basics of what every person should know, it should not be lost that the niche here is "social media" and teaching people how to "grow" and "market" etc themselves. Organic growth and reach is a huge pain point in our society today. Everyone wants internet money, everyone wants notiratey on socials, everyone wants a huge social following for their own ego. That is why accounts in the social media marketing niche blow up and gain lots of traction. So please remember, if your niche is something like plant care, hair extensions etc - you may not see results the same as others in a niche that is in high demand.
This was a really helpful video! Thank you for this! The broadcast channel is.... getting quite annoying if you join a handful of them you are bombarded with notifications all of the time. I hope they go the way of Threads and it just disappears.
Haha I actually found it quite relaxing watching you gently swing on your hammock. Amazing content and value. OG subscriber. Loved your message about community and connection. I've really struggled with that this yr.
Anyone else has been following Katie for the past 3-4 years, inspired by her growth over the years casually applied her knowledge and is now ready to kick your butt into 2024 and make this the year where you get consistent and smash your goals. I grew my TikTok account using Katie's videos from 0 - 5000 in 4 months but burnt out and fell all the way. But 2024 - I'm back!!! A new creative but I'm ready to find my community. Thanks for the motivation Katie as always. New RUclips and IG are activated and ready for action.
Such a great video 👐 I have just spent over one hour watching your vides one after one...🤩 (did I mention that I am actually quite busy today...😂) One question: You suggest to not post new posts or reels on Stories. Would you suggest to share it but then make a cover over the video/image - or maybe even just make a generic background with a text telling that there is a new reel/post? Otherwise I worry a lot of my followers will miss it... Thanks in advance 👐
I haven't finished your whole video yet, but I'd be interested in knowing WHY you want to grow on Instagram if you have such a large RUclips following. Do you have the data to show the monetary benefit of putting the time into both?
For several reasons: (1) Because as an influencer, you want to be able to show brands that you can perform and deliver on the platforms they are about (like Insta) and not just one place like RUclips - ultimately it all comes down to how many click-throughs and sales can you help us get as a brand? (2) The two channels support each other. You're cross promoting to two different audience groups. There's some overlap between the audiences, but generally they're vastly different. So you're expanding your reach, which brands (and influencers) love. (3) You want to be where your potential supporters are. So maybe people found your RUclips because of an amazing, one-hit-wonder video you created because they were trying to learn something, but they're not really RUclips people (until they're trying to problem solve). However, they hang out on IG or TikTok all the time. Or Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. So you, ideally, want to be able to show up where they are. This is all about developing relationships and community wherever your target is, to the best of your ability - at the same time without spreading yourself too thin. 😬 Hope that helps!
Thank you so much I have followed you for over a year now, and I love how you keep it so real and stay true to who you are!! Your information and advice has helped me sooo much!
This video is so helpful! Thank you for all the effort making this content and all the tips about your strategy...i have a question....all the content is created with iphone or with a professional camera? hugs from Colombia.✨
Thank you for this 💖 I'm looking to invest a lot more time into my small jewelry business's IG presence this year and this video made it feel much less overwhelming!
You are a star!!! I just found your channel and immediately thought everything what you say is so relatable! I only started my instagram and RUclips channel and found your videos extremely helpful ❤
This is awesome! Thank you so much for sharing, it's super helpful!! For YT, I'm curious how far in advance you plan/film/edit? I'm not creating far enough in advance for any of this yet and it's something that's going to make me feel much less rushed and less pressure. So, thank you again for sharing and teaching!
This may be a silly question, but how do you suggest starting to batch content? My Tiktok and IG content is pretty time consuming. I'd love to get a month ahead, but how do you start? Do you just hustle really hard for a few weeks and generate a backlog of content? I think I would die lol. Slow down your posting for a bit while you build your backlog? Would love your perspective.
Hi!! this video is super helpful! do you have any tips specifically for sports Instagram pages? I've been trying to grow my volleyball account recently :)
This is so good!! Question if I were to follow your processes that you speak about in this, RUclips video how many hours a week would I technically need to commit to it? Do you have an affordable community where I can absorb more of you? Thanks again!
Thanks for the tips! Do you have a video specifically for people who have less than 3k followers to start? I feel like that may require a slightly different strategy. For example, maybe carousels with photos wouldn’t be beneficial?
Hi Katie! Would you do an extensive video breaking down the style, genres, formats, and length of videos/posts that work on major social platforms IG/FB, TIKTOK, RUclips, etc...? I noticed not one piece of content or certaint style (5sec vids vs talking head vs education vs long captions vs hashtags) work on every platform... :/ ie. I've had a viral reel on IG that has literally 0 views on tiktok... Thank you!
Great video! Thank you so much for sharing your strategy. In terma of story reach, I also did some experimented. I have a much much better reach whenever I post only one story and let it expire before posting a new one. If I post more than one, my reach is at least 5 times lower. So weird
Great video, here is my question about trending audio. If you are using videos with brilliant & adding the trending audio, are you posting the video each day (Say for example one wanted to post something trending each day) manually and adding the audio? I'm trying to nail my automation work up and this seems like something you would have to manually do for each video.
Do you have a video showing how you organize your video files? Maybe this would be too much to show? My channel here on RUclips is a for Pilates, yoga, and fitness classes. Those videos are very easy for me to organize. I can batch them and schedule really simply, but for some reason, short form content doesn't work with my set up. All my short form content gets lost if I don't use it right away. I'd love some tips on how you actually organize the keep track of your short form content and b roll
Katie, I have been watching YT videos on how to succeed on social media for the last couple of WEEKS to excessively teach myself and when I tell you, yours are the most insightful, interesting ones. Thanks for sharing your knowledge ❤
Thanks for the tips! I share reels/feed posts so that I can add them to highlight buttons. Is there a way to get around this? It's an easy way for people to view by topic, but I agree that it might be annoying on their end to see it in stories.
Woo thank you, this video really inspired me.❤❤ I realize that I stick too much to original part while my creation needs tons of time, so I update very slowly. Happy to get new idea from you. Nice content!
Thanks for sharing! Seems to be a lot of overlap between broadcast channels, threads, and stories - in how it seems like they could all be used for similar things: lower pressure/audience connection. I'm not too sure where to share BTS/work in progress (as an artist that's finishing one very polished animation per week), stories feels more natural though so far, since new viewers tend to click it often. But then I don't really know what content to use for threads or broadcast channels since by then I've already "used up" my BTS and it seems redundant/annoying for followers if I re-use the same BTS/work in progress. Instagram feels like such a mess sometimes haha.
Hey Katie! Love your videos they're always so helpful and specific. I've been wanting to dive deeper into my stories and their performance. I was just wondering which tool you use to track their performance? (the one that you're showing screenshots of in this video) thanks!
Hi, thanks this was helpful & simply explained. Instagram reel to story - I feel they perform better when I use the story effects & edits to make them more visually appealing
Hi Katie, is your macbook the only computer you use for all your content? It is in many of the videos but I am just curious because I am desciding to go mac vs PC.
I LOVED the part about stories!! As a biz owner I got so used to the 2020 trend of “mini trainings” on stories that now I don’t know what to post there without making it educational 😅
Valuable video, Katie! What actually worked for me is engaging with other followers in my niche to increase my engagement rate (I'm lazy so I use quicky social for that), then posting high-quality reels. Thanks for sharing your ideas and all the best.
whats quickly social?
i tried searching for it and couldnt find it
This level of organization is so cool. I'm attempting to build up my instagram following and build a youtube shorts channel and I think getting a little more organized will help. also love how you differentiate your instagram reels. would love a video on how youtube shorts should differ from reels.
that's a good suggestion! i could make a whole video about how I see my short-form content strategy as a whole (across shorts, tiktok, and reels!)
@@katie Yes please show a shorts-tiktok-reels batch strategy and the differences in each. I've been searching for a while for someone to teach this. Thank you!
Hi, did she made the video yet?
This video is GOLD

This was so much more helpful than any of the other videos on this topic I've seen so far! Thank you!
i didn’t know you before but it felt like hearing a caring friend talking, thank you for this priceless sharing
INSTA IS making me hate promoting my business. How can I manufacture the products and sit on INSTA all day 😂😂😂 it makes no sense
Do short reels that are trending that helps a lot and the reels do keep working for themselves as time goes on.
Thats what social media managers are for! Outsource your socials if you can🙌🏼
I have the exact same issue🥺
Thank you! This video was very helpful. Where can I find the Content Calendar Database?
I didn't originally catch the name. I've got it now.
Thank you! for talking about the importance of community. Great video!
Great video Katie! Was the tripod reel already published?
Thank you SO MUCH!!!!! This tutorial has just massively simplified my life

Out of the box question, because I’m on a hunt for am editing laptop, what laptop do you use to edit cause I’m very clueless on which to get
