3:35 - classic "Bill"! Sergeant Penny, Taffy Edwards, Viv Martella, Brownlow, Ackland and Cryer. Those were the good old days! Does anyone even remember these characters anymore?
I was 19 when Season 1 came out. Still remember it today and have the first 3 seasons on DVD. Need more cops like Roy Galloway and Frank Burnside on and off screen. The new could never ever surpass the old. Love the anti PC. I dabble in writing SP's/ novels and I can only dream of thinking up the creations that Geoff McQueen did.
Great tributeYou have done very well indeed.I have done a few tributes myself for the bill and resently a montage. I am pleased to say that your video has made it onto my montage list in rememberance to this well loved series. Thank you for sharing this video with us all. bravo2zero
@kbg7812 They weren't in the photo I was talking about at 3:35. Tony Stamp wasn't a regular back at that time either, only an extra. Plenty of other main characters from around then too, like Roach, Carver, Dashwood, Yorkie Smith, Robin Frank, Galloway, Sgt. Peters, etc.
It went downhill as soon as they started using that shit saxophone version of the theme and got rid of the 7/8 time signature. Typical dumbing down of everything for the masses.
daniel anderson I know man those were the good old days when The Bill was The Bill. It started to decline from 2002 in my opinion but still enjoyed the rest of the shows though.
they are in a secure warehouse, alot of scenes are in the street and quite a few of them are actual 'sets' constructed by production and computers are used in some scenes...
Did saw a filming of the Bill in 1996 when they was filming in Clapham one afternoon when a few members of the cast was filming outside the old night club which is no longer there. Think I got myself into the show by accident
Completely agree; when it was half-hour and crime-based it was realistic and entertaining. Now it's soapy and focussed excessively on the personal lives and involvements of the policemen. It's a shame.
I think the 2007-2008 version of it is better, not because its most recent, but because it has good story lines, cast and you no it you love it, the theme music! even though i was born in 1989 i dont realy like the 90's version
Great vid! Is there any chance that you could send me the pics at 4:58,5:05 and 5:24 Also, does anybody know when the bill, is going to get the new astra's and the new bmw's?
can someone please tell me what episode is 0:55 ive been looking for that one for a long time i remember watching it as a kid but i cant remember the season it was in
I live down under and this is my favourite show! Since you English luv AUSTRALIA check out my video which I filmed in the Australian outdoors PRANKSTERS IN THE PARK.
The Bill is a great programme, but was much better a few years ago.Saw the Simon Rouse interview on the telly last week,he says that they are trying to get away from the soapy style of programme and having too many poofs in the story lines, which spoils the programme. Its horrible seeing men kissing men.
16 october 1984 first episode. ive been watchin it for ten years its soo good
The character I remember most is Roy Galloway. Brilliant.
