I love the 2003 one but it was actually introduced in 2001. The characters were shown in it e.g Vicky Hagen, Di, Sam, Kate ect but because loads left they kept the same tune but changed the characters on the front to Kerry, Luke, Sam Nixon, Robbie... do I need to go on?
I also think that the theme tunes used in the years 2008-2007 sound really similar to the FANTASTIC, ORIGINAL used back in the years 1983 (when it was FIRST SHOWN on analogue TV screens all around the world) up to year 1999
very good video tho couple if dates wrong the 1998 theme finished in 2000 then the theme u put beginning 2003 was actually 2001 till 2003 then the one u put on 2005 actually came in 2003-2006 then the final one was 2007-2009 then we all know bout the shite theme they had for the final year

I liked the 2003 theme song and the very last theme song which was used from the middle of 2009 I think till it's very end in August 2010.
I have to agree with Mistnaewmarch. that 1997 was excellent sound for that the Bill !!!!
I hope it goes back to the original theme for the final set of episodes, like Grange Hill did.

Nothing wrong with Mark Russells - Overkill from Respect finale. The 2009 soft reboot theme was a little on the bland side tho.

Your 2003 one is actually the 2001 intro, your 2005 intro is the proper 2003 intro.
The 1984 one is sick, sounds like it's actually been composed, would be very impressed if it was synth.
The 2003 version sounds more like it'd belong in a Hollywood action movie than a British TV police drama.
1988 was the best. 1998 and 2003 were the worst. 2005 comes a close second, which is a decent modern take on the original 1984 theme.

They shouldn't have changed it all together in the years 1998 & 2003 because both themes tunes are shite!

They should bring back The Bill! Other shows such as Catchphrase, Londons Burning and Dallas have been bought back, so why not The Bill!

1984 and 1986 sounds like porno music. 1988 was the best but the triumphants was good as well.
