How about one that young first time drivers can afford……… oh they can get finance and pay double
Which car would you pick? Let us know in the comments! Apologies for the mic issues, we had some technical glitches that we’ve rectified for following videos :)
No Ford Fiesta or VW polo?
FIAT 500 is my choice. Best design ever, drives well, good front seat comfort, easy to maneuver. Modern classic. 🧡🧡🧡
Fiat is not a reliable brand
Hyundai i10 😅😅if I pass my driving test of course ☺️ but good explanation overall, thanks
Do you have video for automatic
Do many new drivers have £6k+ to buy cars with?
no
@@dandelaney1131 exactly!
Misguided in who they think the target audience is, but a lot of people (not new drivers lol) are in the market for these kinds of thing. Missed an open goal here
i don’t
Unless they have the help of the Bank of Mum and Dad (and parents have a bit of money) then no….
Ahh is that Rockingham Speedway track?
I have had a few skodas of late ,my current daily driver is a 2018 skoda citigo 5dr sel 75 ps model, its a brilliant city car that is just as comfortable on the city road as it is on the motorway. And being based on the vw up its also cheaper too .
Even tho those cars are good for new drivers they also expensive. You can get for 5k or even lower a old bmw which has also better engine and more hp.
The insurance for my friends low end bmw is 7000 to 10000
The Mercedes GLC is also a mild hybrid. Just bought one.
I have a Nissan Note which seems akin to its French cousin, the Clio. Faultless.
Can we have drift days again pls
bought a mk7 fiesta 1.25 forr just £1800 with fsh. Cant lie its probably better than most these cars on this list
None I pick Honda Civic , Ken
Fiat 500s especially the 1.2/1l engine is one of the most unreliable ones on the market 😂😂
Lost me a the corsa
and dont do paning when recording with zoom lens.. on digital especially omg
All very little cars, no cluck brake pedal, no good for families
Grade the video 🤣
We've taken this on board. What do you think of the grading in our recent videos? We look forward to hearing your feedback
10K on a first car. You're having a fcuking laugh right??
Neither. My mk1 1.0 yaris beats all of these!!!!🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
We can't deny that the Mk1 Yaris is a brilliantly reliable motor :)
my eyes hurt... from that contrast adjustment unwatchable
Sorry, but this is beyond ridiculous….
Any new driver (i.e. one that has just passed their driving test, so usually aged 18-21 years old) does not have the money to pay for a car which costs £6k-£8k…unless they have well off parents, who are willing to financially support the purchase, or they have just received an inheritance from a relative…
For any new driver, ignore the cars on here, and get a Peugeot 107/Citroen C1/Toyota Aygo…great cars, great to drive, cheap to run, car tax either cheap or free, and really reliable…plus you can get a second hand one for half the price as the ones listed in here, sometimes even cheaper…
Most of the cars on here do have a target market, but this would be more for a young couple, in maybe late 20’s or 30’s, both in good jobs, and looking for a second car for runaround like school run etc, not for a new driver in late teens/early 20s…
Hey, thanks for the comment. This may have been true a few years ago, but recent sales trends have actually shown the opposite to what you’re describing. The average value of first cars has been gently increasing thanks to a buyers taking advantage of finance purchases instead of outright purchases. With a small deposit, young drivers can access a decent car for not much more than the monthly price of a new smartphone contract. That’s the beauty of used car finance deals, as evidenced by cars on cinch 😃
@@cinch Sorry, but I still think you are totally targeting the wrong target market on this…
If I was a parent of an 18-21 year old, I would be truly horrified if they took out a car finance deal for a car that is £6k to £8k (unless I was a mega rich parent)….
Also, how on earth can an 18-21 year old be expected to get a car finance deal for cars like these, when they have little to no credit history??? When I was that age I had absolutely no credit history, and am pretty sure 95% in that current age group don’t either…
Like I said, there are used cars far more suitable for this target market, which cost half the overall price of these, and are most likely more reliable…
@@velouris76£10k isn’t worth what it used to be. Realistically, it’s not much anymore.
@user-um9cs2qo4v It's all relative, and that's the entire point I'm making...
If you're a new driver, aged between 18-21 years old, what is the average salary most that age would be on?
£10k for someone in their late 20s, in a good stable well-paid job, isn't much, in terms of car finance...
But for someone aged 18-21 it most definitely is, unless they have wealthy parents...plus, nobody that age will get car finance for £10k, without at least one or both parents being guarantors...
Totally agree with you, I'm in my early twenties with a graduate Engineering job and I'd struggle with the cars listed here. Financing is doable but probably not the best use of your limited salary.
50 seconds in and thats when ive disliked the video
Don't think 6 years makes a difference 😅
I got a mazda 2 ts
