I always adopt Blaise and Sissel in my playthroughs. I like to role play as a Sister of Battle that is trying to spread the Emperors Word to Tamriel. She adopted Blaise to train as a future Imperial Comissar, and Sissel to train as a future Healer for the Imperium of Mankind.

So, I just adopted a kid for the first time (in Skyrim). Sofie's story really got me when I talked to her. I'm somehow really emotionally attached to my digital daughter. I go to my home daily just to play hide and seek with her........ I need a life 😂

I adopted Lucia and Blaise myself. I wish I didn't have to install mods to adopt more. I wanted to adopt Sophie after watching the Dark Elves pity her and see her sleep outside. She definitely has it the worst imo. It's so cold there.
I started a new character just yesterday and I was able to buy the small house in Whiterun before even hitting level 10; I immediately adopted Lucia afterwards. Once I make it to Windhelm Sophie comes with me too. With one of those odd buff bugs and Lydia at my home as well as decent furnishings they'll never be alone and cold again.
In one of my favorite playthroughs my character's reaction was basically "This little girl just walked up to an orc wearing full heavy armor and asked him if he wanted to buy a flower. Either she's just that desperate or has balls of steel and either way I'm taking her in from the cold."
There's also a boarding school mod where you can sent the childrens to enroll. Like in Harry Potter, where they got an Owl, the school mod got mini Alduin.

I always tell myself to have some variety with my playthroughs but Sophie is a guarantee adopt. The second I found out she sleeps outside in Windhelm I was like "Okay, you're coming home with me".
Don't kill Constance. She is a really nice lady who does care about the kids, and if Grelod is killed she actually puts them up for adoption (unlike Grelod, who refused to have any of them adopted because she used them basically as slaves). Grelod herself, though... you can literally murder her in plain sight and not even get a bounty for it. This woman is so hated by literally *everyone* that the law won't lift a finger for her if you kill her.

This is truly a testament to Skyrim’s world building. People care about these kids so much that they’re willing to buy a house just to give them a home. (Myself included). One of the reasons I love Skyrim so much.
You can own like 10 houses, each with a guard (and depending on the house up to three other workers), who can look after kids. You could probably take in and support every orphan if Skyrim. Even if you don't live with them, that's still tons better than what most of them have now.

For a long time i would go buy Sofie's flowers every day because i didn't have a house for her to stay in. After working hard to be able to afford a house i finally adopted her.
One time when I tried to find her to adopt her, because she's one of my faves and always needs it so bad, I actually found her sleeping on the freezing cold ground!!! Adopted her immediately and she crashed my game while trying to leave Windhelm XD Still though, poor poor Sofie!
I adopted Lucia on St. Lucia's Day in real life. Just felt that if was the universe telling me to adopt her. I don't know who I'll adopt next, but I'm glad Lucia was my first. ❤️
This playthrough I'm definitely adopting Alesan and Sofie. I feel like Sofie and Alesan would freeze to death without a second chance. Alesan would definitely die an early death working in the mines as a child. They have the saddest stories and situations to me. And both are sweethearts and very hardworking. Once Grelod is dead, Honorhall isn't the worst place for the four kids already there and it's better than an abusive family for Sissel and Britte (I hope that Constance will be a good influence for Britte). Lucia and Blaise definitely have sad lives, but they live in warmer areas of Skyrim that are economically stable. Lucia could find her place working at the temple of Kynareth or the inn and Blaise could end up inheriting the farm once all the adults die or are too old to do anything (or I could just speed the process up and kill them all)? Regardless, I think these two could make a life, even in their current situations. But Alesan and Sofie would probably die before they hit their teenage years.
With mods, I went with Blaise, Sofie, Alesan, and Lucia. A week later, I said "screw it" and adopted the other four from the Riften orphanage as well. Now Proudspire Manor is bustling with life. 👍
I've always liked to imagine that once my character passed away, he leaves all his equipment behind for the 2 children he (I) adopted, with them becoming two Great adventurers, with the two Dadric Dagers I've forged for them (what can I say, I'm a cool dad, I even enchanted and named them... I gave them a wooden sword but used a +400% smithing bonus when upgrading it so it's stats are like 269 ... Sofie is my go-to adoptee, I can't stomach the thought of her living and sleeping on the freezing streets of WIndhelm, trying to sell flowers in an enviornment where they hardly even grow :( Only in my recent playthrough did I not adopt her, I ended up impulsively adopting Blaise instead bc the farm was attacked by a huge ass dragon right when he was just sleeping on the ground by the stabes! Had to get him outta there! lol
I chose Sofie and Sissel. I feel for all the children (even britte to an extent) but all other children have a relatively fair future and chance. Lucia may be a beggar in white run, but white run is a very safe and relatively prosperous city where she may find work when she’s older. All the orphanage kids I feel have a great future when the place is taken over by Constance. The only other one I worry about is Anesan but I think despite his tough life, he has a good home with the miners in Dawnstar. Sissel deserves more than an abusive home and you could argue maybe she’d find a future with the town mage, but I still think she’s better off being adopted. Even if you take down the Windhelm butcher, the ground is still cold and windhelm is a harsh place for a child like sofie to the point the looked down upon dark elves take pity on her.
I had to adopt Lucia as soon as I got Breezehome, and then quickly adopted Sofi after I moved into Vlindrell hall. Next thing I know, I come home from a wild adventure of handing daedra and dragons their own asses and am greeted with my daughters calling each other “Horker Brain”...All I wanted to do was relax lmao
@@Linguineo i got home to solitude one day to give my kids presents in time for the weekly burning of king olaf festival. walked into my home and heard samuel call sofie 'elf ears'. my character being a dark elf (and in general not tolerating bullying), i grounded samuel for the day with no gifts and gave sofie her new set of clothes, a dagger, and both her and her brother's share of sweetrolls.
There's a custom house called Dragons Keep that's also a boarding school. I think there's enough room for every vanilla child, not including your actual adopted kids
Hearthfire only allows 2 kids to be adopted. Using adoption mods allows you to adopt more, and to adopt more you also need more than the two beds provided by Hearthfire DLC in the homes. Otherwise even the Hearthfire Adoptions mod that I mentioned won't work.
I usually adopt Alesan and Sofie. They all have tough stories, but at least Sissel, Blaise, and Lucia won’t die of hypothermia, exhaustion, or Calixto murder.
I still remember the young girl selling flowers, I always bought them whenever I saw her. Then one day during a Thieves Guild quest, Sofia was there sleeping in the open in the cold all alone. She became my daughter in less than 10 seconds.
I always hoped for more of a story line regarding that very thing. I mean why else make it a line said at all if you arent going to add to it. Why would a lonely abused sweet little girl be getting prophetic dreams about Parthurnaax? Who knows, because Bethesda sure doesn't.
I adopted Lucia as I was rampaging through Whiterun and murdering guards, stealing food, etc etc...and she literally saw said "You're awesome!!" So I adopted her right away.

I adopted the boy samuel, one of the kids from the orphanage, and one day when I got back from a long day questing, he tells me something followed him home. One would expect a dog or something but no...my kid brought home a baby mudcrab...I still haven't gotten over that. And yes I let him keep it cause honestly who else has a mudcrab as a pet?
Over time in different play throughs I have had 3 foxes, a rabbit, and I think a chicken or goat. Tiny mudcrab is on my to experience list now, thank you!
I had Samuel and Kayd once, and one of them (don’t remember who) brought home a skeever. I had my weapon drawn ready for this skeever to attack me but nope it was just their pet now. Another time I had Lucia. She got me a mini white fox and by the nine it was so cute.
Alright, killing Constance is the most heartless thing anyone could do in skyrim! The kids actually love her. I didn't adopt anyone from there cause i know that after killing Grelod, constance will give them a mother's love And oviously the kids can't fend for themselves even with the house, which without an adult they certainly won't be allowed to keep.

The child who should be #1 adoptee but is for some reason unadoptable: Aventus Arentino, the boy who triggers the Dark Brotherhood questline. The boy is all alone in this giant, empty, house that the rest of the city thinks is cursed, trying to summon the Dark Brotherhood. After you do his quest, he never returns to Honorhall, he stays in that house full of personal ghosts - probably to scared to make the trek back to Riften. Bethesda did us dirty by not being able to adopt him
Just plain typical adoption, though it would be cool if you could also make him into a trainee for something? No killing just yet, not at that age, just skills that would be useful for anyone, probably some Thief skills too, and work up to killing when he's ready.
@@corwyn-corduroy I disagree. He has a whole house that is not really cursed n a fortune. He's from a rich family respected in Windhelm. he also says at the end of the questline that he will return to honorhall. though they never scripted that. All the kids in this list need adoption more than him. What we should be able to do for him however is getting him a custodian to help him restore the house, cook and clean and make sure he's not alone. maybe the jarl could be paid to give this job to one of his veterans wife's. alternatively it should be possible to accompany him back to honorhall, make a donation there on behalf of the kids and talk to Jarl ulfric to make sure his inheritance will be looked after for him til he's grown up to claim it.

And he gives us the only inheritance he has 🤔 Anyway, when I first entered the house, I was hiding next to the door where he was. I was shocked at first to see the dead body but he was so desperate and just wanted to save everyone... So I found a mod to adopt him and he was the first I took in. I regret not seeing the mod that allows you to adopt up to 6 kids, it is not advised to install it during a game... I would have adopted him + the 5 hardworking/abused/starved/freezing to death kids 😭
I get the Black Star before I do any assassinations (and bonus black soul gems for when I have more named targets) and other deliberate murders; and I craft and enchant different things and name the item after the soul used to power the enchantment. Grelod the Kind is always turned into an Iron Dagger that causes fear. Lemkil is a pair of iron gauntlets with a pugilism upgrade. The orc bard of Morthal becomes a necklace for speechcraft.
@@jishnugupta8963 Nazeer would go well in a scimitar with a fiery soul bind enchantment, or an Alikir Hood with an archery enchantment. As an assassin, let him feed a weapon or a tool to aid in assassination.
If you adopt Sophie just make sure you buy all the flowers that she sells otherwise your game might glitch. Like mine did. Where you can’t give Sophie anything after you adopt her cause the flowers are still counted in her inventory.

@@seraka7386 No matter what quest I'm on or how many missions I need to finish somehow I'm always looking to find gifts for my daughters. They love daggers, dolls and dresses. The greatest gift they gave me are a mud crab and a rabbit for a pet. The fox is my favourite. It was either Lucia or Sophie that gave me the fox. The house seems more live when pets are roaming around.
I like how he looks at it from such a realistic perspecive. It makes it feel real and like you can actually help someone who is in a realistic situation, even though it's just a videogame.
Yeah, I felt bad for not adopting Sofie, I already had Lucia and Hroar, but then one time she, for some reason, had 500+ flower baskets for sale, so I bought them all except one. She is now the richest person in Eastmarch.
Just in case anyone is unaware, there is a mod out there called Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions that allows you to adopt up to six kids. Just make sure you have a compatible house or else you won't be able to adopt more than two. Edit: Alternatively if it is not in your character's intention to adopt, there is another mod out there where you can send ANY child (orphaned or not) to Dragons Keep, an academy very like Hogwarts where they can learn to defend themselves! My "always adopt" are in this order: 1. Sofie (Always first) 2. Lucia 3. Sissel 4. Blaise 5. Alesan (I only choose Alesan last because yes, they work him to the bone but he has a warm place to sleep at night.) 6. Britte (only if I'm feeling generous. I did read online that once they are adopted, they treat each other as if they were strangers beforehand. I was of the mind to ignore her in the orphanage, but I went to go speak to her and she looked up at me and no sh!t, she said "..mama.." My heart broke.)
I always adopt sophie. Windhelm is the coldest city in Skyrim & she has to sleep outside. She definitely doesn't have the means to survive the freezing temperatures. & I'm always torn between adopting blaise or Alesan, because they both work so hard for so little. If I could have it my way, I'd adopt all of them.
Lucia and Blaise have been my children in every playthrough, as soon as I buy Breezehome they move in. They own every color of child's clothing, dozens of every toy and always have half a dozen healthy snacks in their inventory. They each have potions of ultimate healing, cure poison and cure disease. They both have a ridiculously high allowance; they each carry more gold than any shop in Whiterun. They both carry enchanted legendary dragonbone daggers that paralyze and steal health. They each have one pet, Lucia brought home a rabbit and Blaze found a mudcrab. Since every home needs a dog one of the Dawnstar huskies lives with us.
I usually adopt the boy from Solitude whose parents were imperial soldiers and the girl whose parents were stormcloak rebels and have them call each other brother and sister because I find it cute to bring Skyrim’s children from both sides of the spectrum together... Plus I love the irony
This whole was is bullshit tbh. I play as a Dark elf. So either I choose to side with the puppets of my degenerate cousins or side with racist assholes that would want me kicked out cuz I'm not a Nord, even if my home region was destroyed by a volcanic eruption. Fun.

When I first met Lucia, I adopted her as soon as I had the resources. After that, however, I decided to be careful about who I adopted next, since I found out you could only adopt 2 kids. I headed over to Windhelm and while hunting for the butcher, found Sofie curled up in the corner, shivering in the cold winter wind... I did not second guess.
Hearing Sofie call my character mama for the first time made my heart melt. I even went to windhelm just to get her because her standing there, selling flowers reminded me of Aerith from final fantasy 7. And the fact that she stands outside in the cold and wanders around in the Dark Elf slums there makes me feel even more for her. I know it's not really part of her story or role in the game but I imagine that she's good friends with the Dunmer/Dark Elves in the Gray Corner (I think thats what one of the dark elf nps called it?) since despite some of the Dunmer's hatred/great dislike towards the Nords, they can't really bring themselves to treat the kids badly.
I definitely chose Lucia and Sofie. They're now lovely sisters with a huge lakeview manor to call home. I take them to Whiterun to play once a week, since I've found roleplaying in Skyrim is pretty fun. Sofie actually found me my final enchantment, too. Fortify stamina on a ring. God damn Bethesda tugging on my heartstrings like that! But it's fun once you can do something for the kids.
I used to play only the storylines because I didn't know you could do other things like get married and adopt kids and pets. So now I'm working on getting a house in riften so o can have a place for everyone 😁
I love Lucia but i adopt the kids who are struggling in Winter more - like Sofie and Alesan. Lucia might not have anyone (occasionally me when i use Breezehome as my weapons base) but she's not suffering the cold and Whiterun is one of the safest cities. I never adopted the Orphanage kids coz they have a freaking orphanage home all to themselves! And poor Sissel... I kill Lemkil everytime. Especially since I've faces childhood domestic abuse, I totally understand being the black sheep.
I know same! I ended up doing a lot of quests and clearing tombs, so then I ended up with a TON of money. I bought Lakeview Manor, built the whole thing in a day, and then immediately went to Whiterun and adopted Lucia. Now I've been having the crisis of who else I want to adopt because I love them all

One time, I tried killing a few innocent npcs to upgrade my Ebony Blade and decided to kill Braith's parents unaware that Braith would end up at Honorhall Orphanage. When I went to the orphanage to adopt a child, I found her there. I adopted Braith and because of that, she became a surprisingly respectful child. I am proud to be Braith's legal guardian.
Lucia and Sophie are gonna be my main kids. They're most likely going to die or end up worse off if they aren't taken in. Especially Sophie, Skyrim's temps could be as low as -20 along the Winterhold coastline so Windhelm has to be barely survivable.

I adopted Lucia and Blaise myself. I wish I didn't have to install mods to adopt more. I wanted to adopt Sophie after watching the Dark Elves pity her and see her sleep outside. She definitely has it the worst imo. It's so cold there.
I started a new character just yesterday and I was able to buy the small house in Whiterun before even hitting level 10; I immediately adopted Lucia afterwards.
Once I make it to Windhelm Sophie comes with me too.
With one of those odd buff bugs and Lydia at my home as well as decent furnishings they'll never be alone and cold again.
In one of my favorite playthroughs my character's reaction was basically "This little girl just walked up to an orc wearing full heavy armor and asked him if he wanted to buy a flower. Either she's just that desperate or has balls of steel and either way I'm taking her in from the cold."

This is truly a testament to Skyrim’s world building. People care about these kids so much that they’re willing to buy a house just to give them a home. (Myself included). One of the reasons I love Skyrim so much.
They even created a mod where you can adopt all of them.
Hell, I went and built 3 mansions from scratch (Hearthfire add-on) so that they would have a selection of big houses to pick from.
I wish there were some Argonian and Khajiit kids to adopt. Hopefully we get some in Elder Scrolls 6.

You can own like 10 houses, each with a guard (and depending on the house up to three other workers), who can look after kids. You could probably take in and support every orphan if Skyrim. Even if you don't live with them, that's still tons better than what most of them have now.

This playthrough I'm definitely adopting Alesan and Sofie. I feel like Sofie and Alesan would freeze to death without a second chance. Alesan would definitely die an early death working in the mines as a child. They have the saddest stories and situations to me. And both are sweethearts and very hardworking.
Once Grelod is dead, Honorhall isn't the worst place for the four kids already there and it's better than an abusive family for Sissel and Britte (I hope that Constance will be a good influence for Britte). Lucia and Blaise definitely have sad lives, but they live in warmer areas of Skyrim that are economically stable. Lucia could find her place working at the temple of Kynareth or the inn and Blaise could end up inheriting the farm once all the adults die or are too old to do anything (or I could just speed the process up and kill them all)? Regardless, I think these two could make a life, even in their current situations. But Alesan and Sofie would probably die before they hit their teenage years.
That’s exactly what I thought in my current playthrough. They’re freezing to death!

Sofie is my go-to adoptee, I can't stomach the thought of her living and sleeping on the freezing streets of WIndhelm, trying to sell flowers in an enviornment where they hardly even grow :(
Only in my recent playthrough did I not adopt her, I ended up impulsively adopting Blaise instead bc the farm was attacked by a huge ass dragon right when he was just sleeping on the ground by the stabes! Had to get him outta there! lol

I hadn't met sophie, and I had already adopted Alaskan and Lucia.
I chose Sofie and Sissel. I feel for all the children (even britte to an extent) but all other children have a relatively fair future and chance.
Lucia may be a beggar in white run, but white run is a very safe and relatively prosperous city where she may find work when she’s older.
All the orphanage kids I feel have a great future when the place is taken over by Constance.
The only other one I worry about is Anesan but I think despite his tough life, he has a good home with the miners in Dawnstar.
Sissel deserves more than an abusive home and you could argue maybe she’d find a future with the town mage, but I still think she’s better off being adopted.
Even if you take down the Windhelm butcher, the ground is still cold and windhelm is a harsh place for a child like sofie to the point the looked down upon dark elves take pity on her.
I had to adopt Lucia as soon as I got Breezehome, and then quickly adopted Sofi after I moved into Vlindrell hall. Next thing I know, I come home from a wild adventure of handing daedra and dragons their own asses and am greeted with my daughters calling each other “Horker Brain”...All I wanted to do was relax lmao

my character being a dark elf (and in general not tolerating bullying), i grounded samuel for the day with no gifts and gave sofie her new set of clothes, a dagger, and both her and her brother's share of sweetrolls.

There's a custom house called Dragons Keep that's also a boarding school. I think there's enough room for every vanilla child, not including your actual adopted kids

can't you do that with hearthome DLC too? i know you can build a child room, i'm not sure but the space it takes should offer more than 2 beds?
Hearthfire only allows 2 kids to be adopted. Using adoption mods allows you to adopt more, and to adopt more you also need more than the two beds provided by Hearthfire DLC in the homes. Otherwise even the Hearthfire Adoptions mod that I mentioned won't work.
I usually adopt Alesan and Sofie. They all have tough stories, but at least Sissel, Blaise, and Lucia won’t die of hypothermia, exhaustion, or Calixto murder.
I still remember the young girl selling flowers, I always bought them whenever I saw her. Then one day during a Thieves Guild quest, Sofia was there sleeping in the open in the cold all alone.
She became my daughter in less than 10 seconds.

I adopted the boy samuel, one of the kids from the orphanage, and one day when I got back from a long day questing, he tells me something followed him home. One would expect a dog or something but no...my kid brought home a baby mudcrab...I still haven't gotten over that. And yes I let him keep it cause honestly who else has a mudcrab as a pet?
Over time in different play throughs I have had 3 foxes, a rabbit, and I think a chicken or goat. Tiny mudcrab is on my to experience list now, thank you!
Came home to find Lucia had adopted a wolf, and Sofie had a frigging Charaus, gave me so many jumpscares when i slept in Morthal's Homestead...

I had Samuel and Kayd once, and one of them (don’t remember who) brought home a skeever. I had my weapon drawn ready for this skeever to attack me but nope it was just their pet now.

The child who should be #1 adoptee but is for some reason unadoptable: Aventus Arentino, the boy who triggers the Dark Brotherhood questline. The boy is all alone in this giant, empty, house that the rest of the city thinks is cursed, trying to summon the Dark Brotherhood. After you do his quest, he never returns to Honorhall, he stays in that house full of personal ghosts - probably to scared to make the trek back to Riften.

Just plain typical adoption, though it would be cool if you could also make him into a trainee for something? No killing just yet, not at that age, just skills that would be useful for anyone, probably some Thief skills too, and work up to killing when he's ready.
@@corwyn-corduroy I disagree. He has a whole house that is not really cursed n a fortune. He's from a rich family respected in Windhelm. he also says at the end of the questline that he will return to honorhall. though they never scripted that. All the kids in this list need adoption more than him.
What we should be able to do for him however is getting him a custodian to help him restore the house, cook and clean and make sure he's not alone. maybe the jarl could be paid to give this job to one of his veterans wife's.
alternatively it should be possible to accompany him back to honorhall, make a donation there on behalf of the kids and talk to Jarl ulfric to make sure his inheritance will be looked after for him til he's grown up to claim it.

Anyway, when I first entered the house, I was hiding next to the door where he was. I was shocked at first to see the dead body but he was so desperate and just wanted to save everyone... So I found a mod to adopt him and he was the first I took in. I regret not seeing the mod that allows you to adopt up to 6 kids, it is not advised to install it during a game... I would have adopted him + the 5 hardworking/abused/starved/freezing to death kids 😭

I get the Black Star before I do any assassinations (and bonus black soul gems for when I have more named targets) and other deliberate murders; and I craft and enchant different things and name the item after the soul used to power the enchantment. Grelod the Kind is always turned into an Iron Dagger that causes fear. Lemkil is a pair of iron gauntlets with a pugilism upgrade. The orc bard of Morthal becomes a necklace for speechcraft.

If you adopt Sophie just make sure you buy all the flowers that she sells otherwise your game might glitch. Like mine did. Where you can’t give Sophie anything after you adopt her cause the flowers are still counted in her inventory.

@@seraka7386 No matter what quest I'm on or how many missions I need to finish somehow I'm always looking to find gifts for my daughters. They love daggers, dolls and dresses. The greatest gift they gave me are a mud crab and a rabbit for a pet. The fox is my favourite. It was either Lucia or Sophie that gave me the fox. The house seems more live when pets are roaming around.

Just in case anyone is unaware, there is a mod out there called Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions that allows you to adopt up to six kids. Just make sure you have a compatible house or else you won't be able to adopt more than two.
Edit: Alternatively if it is not in your character's intention to adopt, there is another mod out there where you can send ANY child (orphaned or not) to Dragons Keep, an academy very like Hogwarts where they can learn to defend themselves!
My "always adopt" are in this order:
1. Sofie (Always first)
2. Lucia
3. Sissel
4. Blaise
5. Alesan (I only choose Alesan last because yes, they work him to the bone but he has a warm place to sleep at night.)
6. Britte (only if I'm feeling generous. I did read online that once they are adopted, they treat each other as if they were strangers beforehand. I was of the mind to ignore her in the orphanage, but I went to go speak to her and she looked up at me and no sh!t, she said "..mama.." My heart broke.)

Lucia and Blaise have been my children in every playthrough, as soon as I buy Breezehome they move in. They own every color of child's clothing, dozens of every toy and always have half a dozen healthy snacks in their inventory. They each have potions of ultimate healing, cure poison and cure disease. They both have a ridiculously high allowance; they each carry more gold than any shop in Whiterun. They both carry enchanted legendary dragonbone daggers that paralyze and steal health. They each have one pet, Lucia brought home a rabbit and Blaze found a mudcrab. Since every home needs a dog one of the Dawnstar huskies lives with us.

I killed the Emperor first and then joined the Legion also I only used elf weapons to kill the targets so I have a pasty to take the blame for the Emperor's death.
When I first met Lucia, I adopted her as soon as I had the resources. After that, however, I decided to be careful about who I adopted next, since I found out you could only adopt 2 kids. I headed over to Windhelm and while hunting for the butcher, found Sofie curled up in the corner, shivering in the cold winter wind... I did not second guess.
Hearing Sofie call my character mama for the first time made my heart melt. I even went to windhelm just to get her because her standing there, selling flowers reminded me of Aerith from final fantasy 7. And the fact that she stands outside in the cold and wanders around in the Dark Elf slums there makes me feel even more for her. I know it's not really part of her story or role in the game but I imagine that she's good friends with the Dunmer/Dark Elves in the Gray Corner (I think thats what one of the dark elf nps called it?) since despite some of the Dunmer's hatred/great dislike towards the Nords, they can't really bring themselves to treat the kids badly.
I definitely chose Lucia and Sofie. They're now lovely sisters with a huge lakeview manor to call home. I take them to Whiterun to play once a week, since I've found roleplaying in Skyrim is pretty fun. Sofie actually found me my final enchantment, too. Fortify stamina on a ring. God damn Bethesda tugging on my heartstrings like that! But it's fun once you can do something for the kids.
Lucia and Sofie are definitely the most deserving of salvation. The others have proper work, and shelter, but those two don’t.
I used to play only the storylines because I didn't know you could do other things like get married and adopt kids and pets. So now I'm working on getting a house in riften so o can have a place for everyone 😁
I love Lucia but i adopt the kids who are struggling in Winter more - like Sofie and Alesan. Lucia might not have anyone (occasionally me when i use Breezehome as my weapons base) but she's not suffering the cold and Whiterun is one of the safest cities.
I never adopted the Orphanage kids coz they have a freaking orphanage home all to themselves! And poor Sissel... I kill Lemkil everytime. Especially since I've faces childhood domestic abuse, I totally understand being the black sheep.

I bought Lakeview Manor, built the whole thing in a day, and then immediately went to Whiterun and adopted Lucia. Now I've been having the crisis of who else I want to adopt because I love them all

One time, I tried killing a few innocent npcs to upgrade my Ebony Blade and decided to kill Braith's parents unaware that Braith would end up at Honorhall Orphanage.
When I went to the orphanage to adopt a child, I found her there. I adopted Braith and because of that, she became a surprisingly respectful child.
I am proud to be Braith's legal guardian.

Lucia and Sophie are gonna be my main kids. They're most likely going to die or end up worse off if they aren't taken in. Especially Sophie, Skyrim's temps could be as low as -20 along the Winterhold coastline so Windhelm has to be barely survivable.
You know, I was just having one of the worst days of my life (no exaggeration). But I feel ever so slighty better because of this video. Even if it's only a temporary relief, it helps all the same.
