To be honest, for only a couple more grand I’d MUCH rather have my 21’ Mazda CX-5 carbon edition turbo, much more premium probably the best driver focused driving experience in a CUV below 50k, 10 speaker bose Centerpoint audio system, automatic liftgate, Mazda connected services app, leather wrapped dash doors and steering wheel etc
Hi I love your Videos mainly because I love driving cars I might only be 10 but ice storm of your cars you don’t know how much you inspire me to drive cars I love your videos have a good day
I like how you review ‘normal’ cars as well as the crazy ones. Normal car reviewers talk about practicality and economy etc, but they don’t include a lot of information on how the car is like to drive. Whereas, you have almost filled a ‘gap in the market’ by reviewing cars as a car enthusiast and giving a super detailed point of view review on driving the car, which is what us car people needed in our lives👍👍👍
It's so nice to see that I'm not the only freak who just simply loves driving for the drive itself, not the car. I drive a VW Golf Mk4 that apparently was given about 100 horses when it left the factory, but I dare to say about 90 of them already ran away onto the fields. I still love to take it to some backroads for a drive. Got a new set of tires, instant confidence booster, love to corner it at higher speeds just to feel the G force trying to throw me out of that seat with 0 side support. I'm just disappointed that nobody maintains gravel roads here where I live so whenever I think about going for a ride on one of these, might as well just put the car in a junkyard and knock my teeth out with a hammer. The road you've driven was wonderful and reminded me of some just as wonderful roads on Korcula island in Croatia. Such a great watch!
I felt a little opposed to it at first, but it's definitely grown on me. After having a look around it from different videos I've seen and whatnot it definitely fits the whole appearance of the car.
Honda always knows how to make a great car. I drive an '04 CR-V. Yes, it's a slow, boxy early 2000s SUV, but something about the driving experience just feels so good. The pedals feel great, with precise, instant throttle response, the steering feels connected, not over-assisted, but not too heavy, the body feels solid and there is a suprisingly minimal amount of body roll. The AWD system performs great in the snow. On top of that, the interior feels extremely solid, and all of the controls are very intuitive and well positioned. All of this adds up to a driving experience that is enjoyable, and I always feel confident, knowing that the car won't let me down.
I absolutely love my HRV. I actually have the base LX trim, and even that has a luxurious feel at a very affordable price, and provides all the necessary safety features. CRVs and others were always way out of my price range. So I think Honda has done a good job of offering an affordable SUV, that still feels luxurious. And it’s definitely easy on the eyes. ❤
Honestly this scenery is good enough for me to watch these videos lmao, i wish i could drive in someplace like that On a related note hr-v looks great! Prefect price, too
Your videos always interest me, I always get some sort of enjoyment out of watching them because the places you go and the cars you drive are so interesting. Makes me wish I had my license and could go for a drive like this!
I just got a 2024 Sport and I actually love it. I had a CRV and downsized. I’m in my 40s and definitely not an entry level driver. It checks all the boxes for what I need and it’s fun to drive.
I get that it's entry-level, but I sort of wish we could tart up our smaller cars with more options. Some of us simply like smaller cars. Taking out the armrests and stuff is super lame. Like you said, this thing would be so much fun with a torquier motor that complements the CVT.
Other than dust or splashed mud, could a Miata or your Civic handle that smooth unpaved seen at 17:00 ? Love gritty but smooth roads for wintertime, much more secure in freezing rain or slippery snow. And plowing helps fill potholes.
@@TedwardDrives The constant thought of falling off the edge to my own demise would probably keep my eyes on the road constantly haha, such a beautiful drive though, the mountains and rivers at the bottom of the valley is something out of a painting
Really cool review, love your enthusiasm. I know exactly what you mean about finding a great adventure road outside of civilization. I drove coast to coast a few times in all kinds of weather and terrain, and in a variety of cars. Nothing quite like it. As for the HRV, it looks like a cool little crossover, held back by that CVT and rather weak engine.
Honda has dropped the ball once again with this HRV. The first time was forgivable but after everyone screamed bloody murder about the lack of power this vehicle had, why didn't Honda update this version?!?! And why isn't there an electrified version as well?!?! Are we not in 2022? Yes, it's beautiful but useless in those instances when you need the power to merge onto a highway or pass another vehicle. Kudos Honda on a job... done.
They made it heavier, larger, harder to park, and less fuel efficient, in a time when gas prices are skyrocketing, after cancelling their most fuel efficient vehicle in 2020... It is actually larger than a 2012 CR-V
This car gives me mixed feeling because it could be so good! If they came out with the hybrid spec they have in Japan, here in the US it would be perfect!
I used to have a 2016 model HR-V and hated it for the drivetrain. I drive a 2012 Civic LX now that has the same 1.8 as the outgoing HR-V, but it feels way peppier because that 400 pounds makes a big difference. If this car did get the 1.5 in the Civic, it'd easily be one of my favorite Hondas. Because outside of the car being overall extremely slow, it's an amazing car. I'd totally drive one again if we had better drivetrain options.
@@Cichlid_Visuals true. the same also happens in my country. it's not even that long ago. my dad bought a toyota kijang innova 2.0 type v luxury around 9ish years ago. it was priced at roughly $28k if it was converted to USD. it was considered middle-end for a MVP car in my country. nowadays for $30k you will only get a base model 1,5L 100 hp hatchback with cheapo flimsy plastic material for the interior panels.

This is going to sound weird, but imagine if they put a manual in this thing? I'm old enough to remember 2 generations of CRV (and element) with a manual and there was just something about it. Having Honda's new architecture in a small, go (mostly) anywhere SUV with a stick would just be such a fun practical daily and would save everyone from the constant Moooo of a CVT.
Honda needs to do something about their dealers, they will ruin this with insanely high mark-ups, it will end up at lxury brand prices OTD. No rear air vents is a deal breaker.
