Vollständige Lebenszyklus dieses Insekts. Ich empfehle zu sehen! Животные
When it first emerges transparent with the little tail, um, cutest friggin thing E V E R!!!!! Like a tiny itsy bitsy puppy without ears, or fur and way too many legs... But just sooooooo cute...
yes they really are :)
I have some of those in my back garden
Kawaii to the max! >W
Amazing! Such a miracle of nature. Thank you Adam.
Aw, they look so timid fragile as they're drying their wings. It must be especially frightening to be so vulnerable for, what is to them, a very long time.
Thanks for sharing!

Thank you.
Dzięki- w zasadzie wszelkie przejawy życia powinny nas fascynować bez przerwy. A absorbują, najczęściej, dotyczące przetrwania- naszego. Dzięki tym bardziej.
Que fantástico o seu trabalho!!! Parabéns Adam Grochowalski !!
Very colorful caterpillar, definitely one of the more interesting ones I've ever seen
I love the moth's squeaks as well
Hi! I like it also as well. However it is rather rare species. Regards, Adam
Thanks, Adam
Literal Bacon it’s my favourite too. haha
Ej, to jest ZAJEBISTE! Czemu nie masz więcej subów? xD
La Nature m’impressionne toujours !
That fake out around 8:50 was funny. You think it's going to make a silk cocoon, but nope, it's the kind of caterpillar that digs under the soil.
Ever thought about doing one for beetles? I think these are amazing. Very well done!
Thank you wishmaker101!
Yes, I am going to publish a short film on Aromia moschata soon.
Regards from Cracow, Adam
Omg! An amazing video!! I was searching just this and I couldn't find it until I found your video by chance *-* Thank you so much, it's beautiful :)
Thank you Miriam for your kind comment. Welcome soon for my new video. Regards from Krakow, Adam

Fantastic video Adam.
Hi Craig. Thank you for watching my video and the comment! Best regards, Adam.
It is really a very scientific video showing the insect development.Thank you very much for sharing such wonderful educational material.
Hi, I'm really interested in keeping some of these amazing moths but I'd like some information and any help you could give me!
What do they eat?
What temperature should they be at?
What do you keep he moths in(as in cages, substrate, lighting)?
How long do they take to hatch from eggs and do they require and help when in the egg?
Thank you, molly
Hi Molly,
Answering your questions please let you know: Attacus atlas caterpilars feed on Syringa vulgaris L. or on Ligustrum vulgare L.
Temperature as for tropical species should be not less than 25 C. I breed them in August at 28 - 30C. It is easy to keep them in a cage of ca 50x50x80 cm as adult. Younger you can keep in a smaller container, but good ventilated. Plant branches should be placed in tightly sealed bottles or a on a special green sponge.
Concerning light, I can see no problem to keep them on daylight, but avoid direct sunlight. Simply place them in cage in shadow.
Female lays eggs the same night as mating. larvae hatch in about a week. Simply place them in shadow in ambient temperature. Avoid high humidity.
Good luck with breeding of the beautiful species!
Adam
7:40 "excellent!"
Precioso e impresionante!!
That was extremely pleasurable to watch! :) Really enjoyed this well done!
Many thanks Tw1zzl3rs! Welcome tomorrow for a new film devoted Saturnia pavonia - Emperor moth. Regards, Adam
Adam Grochowalski
This is my all time favorite moth :) The Deathhead I mean. I am going to try and order some soon and hopefully document their life cycle. What camera did you use? Was this filmed entirely outside or an enclosure?
thnaks Adal i found this week a caterpillar of this beautifull creature in my garden!
I love your videos. Exceptional clarity and detail. You must have a good camera. I have raised hundreds of these and have a large collection of set specimens. Very vigorous and strong species. One of their folk names is wandering death bird. :)
Hi Andy. I am grateful to you for the comment and to give an interesting folk name to this moth. Sounds like a horror movie.
I made this film using a Sony NEX VG 900 camcorder in FHD resolution. As lenses, I use Micro Nikkors. Currently, I changed the camera on Sony A7SII and register in 4K. I invite you to watch the latest movie:

@@groszek13you Hi. These videos take a lot of time and patience to make. Also noticing the right moment when larvae are shedding or cocoons opening is something like art. Simply amazing!

Nice dog
your video is amazing i raised alot of deaths head hawk moth caterpillars but i live in saudi arabia jeddah but ours is acheronita styx and i caught alot of when they where in their second stage
Thank you MyJoseph for your explanation, and I can see we have the same hobby. I really like the Acherontia family!
Thank you also for your nice comment.
Regards, Adam
Wow! What a fantastic video! Thank you so much for sharing this. Was that a male or female? How does one tell the difference? I have subscribed and look forward to seeing your other videos.
Jetaji you can tell the difference at the end of the abdomen segments in the pupae stadium
"The silence of the lambs" flashbacks
Ausgezeichnet, ausspreche Anerkennung!!
Wonderfull video!!!!

Amazing video!
Thanks adam
Nope this is by far the most awesomely coolest moth evah!! I’m so infatuated
Beautiful video, great camera. I breed moths, butterflies, mantids, and centipedes but still, didn't bought myself a good camera. Anyways I should upload more videos. Do you still breed?
He still does videos I'm pretty sure. Glad to know you're still uploading! Excited to see more vids from you!
Perfectly! It's amazing philosophical film! But after all in the final he had to fly, isn't it?
I really want to rear tropical butterflies but I live in england, is there any way of being able to rear them?
coś swietnego, ogladam nastepne!
Astat18 Dziękuję i pozdrawiam! Zapraszam wkrótce na nowe filmy. Adam
amazing videos👍👍👍
Ta ćma to śliczności.
just marvellous...thanks a lot...
Many thanks Nathalie for your kind comment. Regards, Adam
good video good camera
***** Thank you for watching my film! Adam
Very interesting
Beautiful video, even more beautiful _beautiful_ c:
Your camera work is the highest standard I have ever seen - thanks!
I breed several Hawks, including Death's heads and can say that it is a pleasure joy and therapy for the world we live in, to feel connected to what we really are a part of! These larvae grow to about 12 cm and are not just huge, but ravenous and you can pull them off their food-plant and they would still carry on eating oblivious to you holding them! When they hatch into moths, they squeak when you pick them up and mate happily and lay eggs on privet/ potato leaves... try it!
Thanks once more Adam, for just amazing work .. I would love to know what cameras you are using?
Hi Andy,
I am sorry for late answer. I was filming atropos using the Sony FHD system: Sony Nex VG-900 equipped with Micro Nikkor lenses. For extreme magnifications I use Micro Nikkor 50 / 3.5 lens, reverse mounted on PB-6 bellows.
Regards! Adam
@@groszek13you Thanks for replying - it is interesting to know :) Keep up your great work :)
What kind of plant they eat?
Goooooodbye hoooooorseeeeees..... I'm flyyyyyin' ooooover youuuuuuuu.
just superb !
Hi Christel! Thanks, welcome soon for my new films! Adam
I like
úžasný video! 😉
+Děkuji vám Andulka za váš komentář. S pozdravem, Adam Krakow.
Such a cool one
its nice that nature created these colorful insects just for us to see but its a shame that humans keep killing the caterpillars i also wish that the cocoons of the atlas moths does not get turend to coin purses in taiwan
Thanks for your comment. I agree! Adam
Thats a very human centric point of view. Maybe nature created humans for deaths head hawk moths to scare for their amusement
I raise Butterflies and Moths
Coisas lindas
Thanks for your warm comment. I breeded presented here atropos larvas on Ligustrum.
I am sorry for any inconvenience, but I repalced the film into a new one that is a little bit modified here:
Acherontia atropos developing - by Adam Grochowalski
Regards,
Adam
Where is Sound???
how long would take normally the wings distension? mine acherontia is went out from chrisalys 36 hours ago and the wings are still creased
menph junglee Hi! It looks that something went wrong. Normally wings spanning takes ca. 30 minutes. If you have not developed imago for hours it means that the moth had problems. Adam
i'm afraid you're right
menph your comment is already 2 years ago but it seems like the air in the room you had it was too dry.
Piękne
Dzięki, Per Alunah!
Wow! Great video! Thank you. But you should add some nature sounds to your video.
Hi, Thanks for watching my video, regards, Adam
Please, Heliconius charithonia
Adam did u that their are 3 species of death's head hawk moths they are: Acherontia Lachesis, Acherontia styx, and Acherontia Atropos
what a miracle
Silence of the lambs...
Can they see?
This larva seemed to be able to detect its earlier exoskeleton; researching this i found en.wikipedia.org/wiki/External_morphology_of_Lepidoptera - and yes - a lot of fascinating information is right here.
like 1000 :D
Fantastische opnamen van een fascinerend beest
why has acherontia's caterpillar that tail?
+Barbora Száková
Dear Barbora! The occurrence of Acherontia atropos caterpillars as well as in other sphingidae spike on the last segment is not still clear. Presumably, that is used to deter a potential enemy, but in fact, is soft and it can not be used for defense. It is doubtful that it is needed for another purpose.
Regards, Adam
+Adam Grochowalski luckily research still develops :) anyway, very magnificent and didactive video. thank you! wish you well
Welche Pflanzen mögen die Raupen? Ich möchte gerne im Garten haben.
is it a type of hawk moth?
Hi! Yes, exactly. Regards, Adam
Can Caterpillars see?
Up close it's like dog fur
Where is cocoon
Jeya Kumari um they dig into the earth to pupate, not every species make cocoons
its look like a carnivours catterpilar hehe...
CHICKEN NUGGET JUST TURNED INTO A CHICKEN WING WE HAVE LIFT OFF BABY
Jak ja sie tych ciem boje...
Mementor Ale czemu? Ludzi omijają z daleka, szczególnie te duże i piękne. Adam
Tulis komentar publik...
Pozdrawiam, Adam
Adam Grochowalski Dziękuję za informacje .
Tablet trochę mi się psuje .

*THESE FUCKING THINGS ARE SCARY AND I SPEND 70% OF MY TIME IN THE DEEP WEB*
