Real-life bug-type gym leader.
Go Caterpie use String Shot!
Thats cool, I like your line of thinking.
That moment when you are like "awwww" and then you realize these moths don't have mouths or proboscis meaning they die in a matter of days after they even emerge from their cocoons...
Honey Senpai o
Noooo! I have a fear of bugs but that is just sad :,c
You should have a show on Animal Planet. Your stuff reminds me of the stuff I used to see on that channel as a kid, I haven't check it out for awhile, but the channel seems to lack the educational programming that it used to have.
These moths are so chill
Saturniidae moths are very chill
That intro though.....
Zyona I thought your profile picture was an eye lash and I tried wiping you off my screen 😂
Only one bone of contention, Mothra's no villain. She's generally regarded as a goodie, rather than a baddie.
+Jacob Behnke I knooooow >_____________< I didn't realize it until after I filmed it! I actually watched the movie on RUclips while filming but it was too late to change it. I knew the internet wasn't gonna let me slide on that XD
Eh, no hard feelings. I mean, she DOES cause your typical kaiju rampage all the same. The motivation's just to protect someone rather than Godzilla, who just has an irrational hatred of modern architecture. :P
Excellent vid, by the way. Bogleech sent me.
+Jacob Behnke Woot Woot! Go Bogleech! I need to send some love in that direction!
+Doctor Buggs Please do! And moths are so, so cute!
Are you kidding, this only has 413 views? This is so great! What a great animal and what a great mission! I've never felt better about getting to know insects more.
+Katie Steinruck ^________^ Thanks so much! Apparently according to RUclips, my ranking in search results is largely dependent on how many people are sharing it. I've got to get more views by getting more views haha! Easy right?
+Katie Steinruck umm.. eeww?
+fuad baskara ? What's ew :0
Agreed, I just missed out on a huge moth exhibition and searched for it on youtube, and this popped up. He deserves way more views!
Don't worry, it's got over 24k views now. :3
Moths are so adorable, so a giant one is just amazing. **Perfection**
this was such a great video! the atlas moth is awesome
yo, doctor buggs please save the world by teaching the kids and grown ups why it's cool to be an insect!
Thanks for helping me overcome my Mottephobia! I've always been interested in insects and lepidopterans in general but I have also always been scared of them. So videos like these help me through exposure therapy!
Love the theme song at the start btw!
Same!
My 7 yr old loves you dude. Thanks for being a good role model. Hope to see more.
I didn't expect to find anything about Godzilla here, all hail the king.
Love this video! I agree with other comments regarding a show on Animal Planet or even PBS. This gave me Lavar Burton vibes and Reading Rainbow. Love it! Keep up the great work!
reading rainbow? why?
You’re so cool and charismatic! Beautiful moths too (: keep up the good work!
we miss you make more videos >

This is amazing and I'm absolutely going to share your channel with everyone I know who has even the slighted potability of being interested.

I burst out laughing at your "It's hard out here for a pupa!" joke..!
XD
+DawnedDusk Awesome! I knew somebody would get it! That movie may not have appealed to everybody but it was still pretty popular!
this is so awesome! Please don't stop making these!
I was in my apartment in Adelanto California one day in 1984, and all of a sudden, I hear this weird scraping noise on my window. I looked and saw what appeared to be a bird, caught in my screen. As I approached, I realized it was no bird, but a GIANT moth. I don't mean like two or three times the normal size of a moth, I mean giant. It was about nine inches long and had a wingspan of nearly a foot. It was apparently on its last legs, and had landed to die, I could tell because it would barely move and seemed to have no fear of me at all. I let it walk on my hand and arm for a couple of hours, then I took it to a Joshua tree and allowed it to hang there until it passed away. It was completely harmless, but scary. In retrospect, I probably should have donated it to a college or museum, but I was 14 and didn't think about things like that.
Absolutely stunning! Well done sir.
I’m going to start watching one video about bugs every day and then start going outside with them! Wish me luck, I’ll update if my fear gets any better!

Awesome video. Very well produced, easy enough for me to use with children and interesting enough for adults! Also you look like a fae or forest spirit with those moths in your hair, I'm jealous.
That was the best theme song I’ve ever heard for a RUclips channel. I’m so sad I didn’t find this channel years ago.

Saw your TEDX after freaking out over boxelder beetles. Literal tanks man, but I freak out so much.
So you're making a YT series? Awesome~ It would be great to have an entomologist on RUclips, especially for kids. Looking forward to your next video - I found a couple of the jokes didn't work too well with your flow, but I assume these are kinks which will be smoothed out in time. Good luck, Dr Buggs ^^

Db you are the best I subbed
Hello! I'm glad i discovered your channel! I learned a lot from it. I have a question: since they doesn't have a mouth to feed, how long can they lives? Do they die after laying the eggs?
Anyway you got a new subscriber!
+Enkidu Ereskigal So they tend to live 10 days on average as adults (and yes they do die soon after reproducing) but they spend far longer as larvae so it still balances out to a fairly standard lifespan for an insect. And thanks for subscribing ^___^
I know they’re friendly and harmless but I just can’t seem to touch one. Also because I don’t want to hurt it unintentionally with my arms or hands flailing about lol so I’ll never get close to one
