Edit 3/10/24: I cannot explain how much Nostalgia this brings me, quarantine was amazing. I had so much time to myself and I got into Undertale and it’s AUs heavily. Essentially having a whole Undertale phase (which I enjoyed don’t get me wrong). There was nothing like getting off from Online school and then playing some Roblox Undertale games, that was the life, specifically Undertale Last Corridor, Test Place, and Undertale Judgement Day. There were some other games too, but I forgot about those. But those were the way to go. Also AU Content like Glitchtale was a banger back then, I was always rooting for Betty lmao
I remember when I finally got my hands on Undertale in Xbox Game Pass back in mid 2021 and ran a True pacifist route, I legit shed some tears because that is some strong stuff, the ost, the characters, the fact that you could have killed everyone but you didn’t, and the credits. Even though I knew how everything played out, I felt like I was in the moment, for the Omega Flowey fight, I struggled alot with Asgore and The Asriel fight and his ost. Phenomenal game, thank you Toby.
I came from ULC, specifically 2020, where they used this theme for TS!US Papyrus and back then, I used to always vibe to this, I loved the beats, the beat drop and the intro. Even though TS!US was a horrible character back then, this banger was always it.
I miss those times, from going to the Supermarket with my Dad and Grandma then coming home to play some ULC in 2020 or UJD in 2021, listening to and discovering Undertale and AU themes, watching Undertale Gacha content (yes im guilty of this, that shit used to hit, especially the reaction to animations and AU fights like Last Breath, Disbelief Papyrus and Glitchtale), Staying up extremely late on my phone watching said content, I had to always charge my phone fully beforehand because I had a LG Stylo Plus 4 that was passed down to me back in 2019, and the battery life was completely ass so you had to make the most of it and wouldn’t charge unless you had it in a specific place.
All around, amazing year, amazing time to be alive. 2020-2021, never forget.

This song fits him perfectly
It shows how papyrus watched someone he loved, murdered everyone he grew up to know and love. He forced himself to lie to himself instead of fighting you, even when he watched you kill his brother. He also acknowledges how stupid this move was in the fight “Im so naive” “it doesn’t matter anymore”. He blames himself for the death of many, and quite literally has nothing to lose. Thats why its titled misfortune. Because everything went downhill for him. The moment you showed up, his entire life ended. And during his final attack, he shows 0 mercy, even shouting “JUST DIE ALREADY” to avoid his past mistakes

to make music like this, just download FL Studio 12, and download and install these soundfonts (look up a video on how to do so): EarthBound and SGM. the lead for most megalovanias uses "Overdriven Guitar" from the EB soundfont. but you also need a lot of patience, as making this stuff takes quite a while.
