I really love this sprite! it's way better than the other swap sprites; he looks sad while you're fighting him, and he talks about how he doesn't wanna fight, it fits his character really well!
I love how in this AU Papyrus still believes in you. The places are swapped, but Papyrus and the others have pretty much the same goals and personalities. Though, Papyrus is more mature in this AU. I love it.
It's been a long while since I last heard this. Things have not gone well since. A forced smile while the rest of his face shows plain his obvious pain. I don't think I can replicate that look anymore. I planned on being the first one buried. Instead, failure after failure, followed by seeing both my grandfather and my father buried less than a year apart. This life is a crock of shit with no end. Just reminders. Again, and again, and again. I guess that, if only slightly, is what Paps would've felt in that kind of moment. The shattering of the good and pleasant in your life until you feel you have nothing left, and nothing left to lose. The moment where no cheerful façade can be upheld anymore. And all I can think of doing anymore is lashing out in the hopes of it all coming to a halt that I couldn't achieve myself... if I didn't think I'd fail at that too.
I think the separate themes represent what part of bonetrousle it was before it got turned into underswap. This one i think represents the drums and the jumpy attitude to bonetousle but his main theme represents the main melody to bonetrousle.
EDIT 6/28/24: I cannot explain how much Nostalgia this brings me, quarantine was amazing. It wasn’t the time that I found out about Undertale but the time I had so much time to myself and I got into Undertale and it’s AUs heavily and Essentially having a whole Undertale phase (which I enjoyed don’t get me wrong). There was nothing like getting off from Online school and then playing some Roblox Undertale games, that was the life, specifically Undertale Last Corridor, Test Place, and Undertale Judgement Day. The whole reason I started getting into AU stuff was legit because I found Undertale Last Corridor in like mid 2020, then slowly it slowly started getting me hooked to rhe product, and going beyond just Roblox Undertale games, There were some other games too, but I forgot about those. But those were the way to go. Also AU Content like Glitchtale was a banger back then, I was always rooting for Betty lmao I remember when I finally got my hands on Undertale in Xbox Game Pass back in mid 2021 and ran a True pacifist route, I legit shed some tears because that is some strong stuff, the ost, the characters, the fact that you could have killed everyone but you didn’t, and the credits. Even though I knew how everything played out, I felt like I was in the moment, for the Omega Flowey fight, I struggled alot with Asgore and The Asriel fight and his ost. Phenomenal game, thank you Toby. Oh man TS!Underswap, I remember when everyone on Roblox that were playing UT games like ULC and others would always have on TS!Underswap clothes, especially the people who were playing on xbox. Misfortune is an amazing theme, the startup, the beat, that soothing piano solo...Personally was one of my favorite AUs, and still is. I’m glad even 3 years later TS!Underswap is getting some love due to how many memes there is because of it, and his own official fangame thats slowly getting updated. I miss those times, from going to the Supermarket with my Dad and Grandma then coming home to play some ULC in 2020 or UJD in 2021, listening to and discovering Undertale and AU themes, roleplaying in discord Undertale servers, (yes, something I also used to do) watching Undertale Gacha content (yes im guilty of this, that shit used to hit, especially the reaction to animations like that Christmas party AU thing and AU fights like Last Breath, Disbelief Papyrus and Glitchtale), Staying up extremely late on my phone watching said content, I had to always charge my phone fully beforehand because I had a LG Stylo Plus 4 that was passed down to me back in 2019, and the battery life was completely ass so you had to make the most of it and wouldn’t charge unless you had it in a specific place. All around, amazing year, amazing time to be alive. 2020-2021, never forget. So much time has passed, so quickly too, 2021 was just yesterday and now it’s 3 years ago, time files man.
I can relate though, I quit the Undertale Fandom when things got weird but got back into it during Covid. To be honest, the real thing I like way beyond the lore and clever puns is the soundtracks.
