Flowey probably retained his resetting abilities but isn’t as evil as original Flowey, which is why he’s helping you out. Temmie is the antagonist that torments you, but she’s not as smart as Flowey

You have no idea how much the music and the face freaked me out! Merg I have a message for ya: Merg you still gotta do the other two endings in Facing Demons!
This is what Genocide Routes in AUs should really be about. Everyone keeps focusing on the “Genocide specific fights and themes that are cool” and “this is how the story changes.” And a lot of people focus WAY too much on the “edgy and dark” part of it. This feels like it actually makes you feel bad. It’s not just the story changing and the new dialogue, but it actually shows you why you should stop, it’s not just because of harder fights, it’s because you’re ruining lives and taking lives left and right. This feels less like an Undertale Fangame Genocide Route, and more like a really well made creepypasta. Not like the “edgy lol kill everyone is dead killing is fun. :) blame it on Chara.” Sort of way, but more like an NES Godzilla sort of way “This is extremely disturbing and kinda sad, why am I playing this? Why should I do this?” From the music slowing down as you kill the Ruined Knights, to everyone hiding inside in the city, to Mettacrits more worried talk sprites, all there to make you feel guilty, not cool, but guilty. It doesn’t reward you with what you want, which is just more fights, it punishes you by showing you why you should stop, especially since not EVERYONE will fight you anyway, because they’re sacred, they’re smart. They don’t just fight to stop you like in a lot of fan games and AUs, they run for their lives. That’s the genius of Undertales game design and this game reflects it perfectly, in some ways, it actually does this better than the original Undertale, and that’s what the best AUs do in my opinion. I’m just venting and spitting this out there, I don’t think anybody out there is gonna care, but it was worth a shot I guess.
Imagine having your people killed by a mass murderer, then fighting that murderer and losing, being on the brink of death, and you just kneel down and wait to die... ...only to get hugged by your attacker, and then they walk away. That was SO BAD, omg, I instinctively covered my face in repulsiveness, that was actually the worst. Asgore must feel so humiliated by that, that felt so wrong, even more wrong than just killing him, the hug feels false and awful... omg this game is actually amazing. There are just some things that feel morally and instinctively wrong to do. And hugging someone after bringing them to the brink of death and killing their people, is one of those things. That's just wrong. BUT BECAUSE WE CAN, WE HAVE TO! Also, "Tsunderswap" lol I really am looking forward to its continuation, especially with seeing the swapped skelebros! Underswap Sans looks really cool and cute, and Papyrus... eh... I mean... I dunno. ^^;
I just noticed that the Ruined Knights' colors might represent a different emotion, like in Omori. Scutler (the one in the middle) is angry, Balard (the one on the right) is sad, and Karapaes (the one on the left) is happy.
U can grind at the start ,Chara should have their eyes covered by shadow and all save points will only say determination if u have done it correctly and u cannot call ascore once chara's eyes are covered by shadow. You can also reach the "shadow face" (as I call it) before u reach the ruined Knight's, the ruined town is VERY different in the genocide route. =)
I love that, if you do your best attack on the froggit asgore blocks it, because you spent time to get your most powerful attack ready, but if you attack immediately it doesn’t do as much damage but you hit the froggit cause you attack faster. It’s small details like this that I really enjoy about this fangame. (Also the mini bosses don’t die in one hit and even attack harder, that’s something I wished about undertale. Genocide versions of the bosses/mini bosses that have new attacks and don’t die in one hit)

This is what Genocide Routes in AUs should really be about.
Everyone keeps focusing on the “Genocide specific fights and themes that are cool” and “this is how the story changes.” And a lot of people focus WAY too much on the “edgy and dark” part of it.
This feels like it actually makes you feel bad. It’s not just the story changing and the new dialogue, but it actually shows you why you should stop, it’s not just because of harder fights, it’s because you’re ruining lives and taking lives left and right.
This feels less like an Undertale Fangame Genocide Route, and more like a really well made creepypasta. Not like the “edgy lol kill everyone is dead killing is fun. :) blame it on Chara.” Sort of way, but more like an NES Godzilla sort of way “This is extremely disturbing and kinda sad, why am I playing this? Why should I do this?” From the music slowing down as you kill the Ruined Knights, to everyone hiding inside in the city, to Mettacrits more worried talk sprites, all there to make you feel guilty, not cool, but guilty.
It doesn’t reward you with what you want, which is just more fights, it punishes you by showing you why you should stop, especially since not EVERYONE will fight you anyway, because they’re sacred, they’re smart. They don’t just fight to stop you like in a lot of fan games and AUs, they run for their lives.
That’s the genius of Undertales game design and this game reflects it perfectly, in some ways, it actually does this better than the original Undertale, and that’s what the best AUs do in my opinion.
I’m just venting and spitting this out there, I don’t think anybody out there is gonna care, but it was worth a shot I guess.

Imagine having your people killed by a mass murderer, then fighting that murderer and losing, being on the brink of death, and you just kneel down and wait to die...
...only to get hugged by your attacker, and then they walk away.
That was SO BAD, omg, I instinctively covered my face in repulsiveness, that was actually the worst.
Asgore must feel so humiliated by that, that felt so wrong, even more wrong than just killing him, the hug feels false and awful... omg this game is actually amazing.
There are just some things that feel morally and instinctively wrong to do.
And hugging someone after bringing them to the brink of death and killing their people, is one of those things. That's just wrong.
BUT BECAUSE WE CAN, WE HAVE TO!

I just noticed that the Ruined Knights' colors might represent a different emotion, like in Omori. Scutler (the one in the middle) is angry, Balard (the one on the right) is sad, and Karapaes (the one on the left) is happy.

Ah yes, we're back in business
U can grind at the start ,Chara should have their eyes covered by shadow and all save points will only say determination if u have done it correctly and u cannot call ascore once chara's eyes are covered by shadow. You can also reach the "shadow face" (as I call it) before u reach the ruined Knight's, the ruined town is VERY different in the genocide route. =)
Chara's eyes actually re-appear, with the shadow if you spare asgore.

I love that, if you do your best attack on the froggit asgore blocks it, because you spent time to get your most powerful attack ready, but if you attack immediately it doesn’t do as much damage but you hit the froggit cause you attack faster. It’s small details like this that I really enjoy about this fangame. (Also the mini bosses don’t die in one hit and even attack harder, that’s something I wished about undertale. Genocide versions of the bosses/mini bosses that have new attacks and don’t die in one hit)

I learned recently that you can kill the first froggit in the ruins that toriel normally interrupts if you are fast enough
