I just made this tonight so I can have other options for breakfast. I did not make it in the pie crust because I am diabetic and I’m trying to cut back on carbs. It was delicious. My husband who doesn’t like dishes like this tasted it and loved it. I’m glad, because I can’t eat it all by myself. Thanks for this recipe.
I have never tried to cook a Quiche before but you have inspired me! Also I get the best tips from you guys. Not poking holes in bottom of shell, not using salt in egg mixtures, making sure ingredients are not wet, and using left over egg mixture in a dish without shell. Thanks again - this is late but hope you guys enjoyed the Quiche and the kid's visit. God Bless!
We always love having our kids in to visit. And we really enjoy having something nice to share with them like this quiche. Thank you so much for the nice comment. We really appreciate it.
@@comesitatmytable9044Good morning Tom and Melissa, it's 4:30 AM here in GA and I am watching this video. The oven temperature you have on the written recipe said 425, but you said your's was set for 375. Which is it please?? Thanks and have a Blessed weekend.
Quiche is a wonderful dish be it made by following a recipe or using up your leftovers. I've used roasted veggies - onions, potatoes, carrots, even brussels sprouts once - and it turns out great. Any leftover meat can go in. Once I made a kind of eggy corn and fish chowder quiche. I flaked up leftover halibut, some lightly cooked drained corn, a little onion, plus some green onion, some garlic croutons, and some cream cheese cubes. Of course eggs, cream and pie shell. I know. It doesn't sound much like a quiche but it was delicious. And it turned out very quiche-like. I have no idea what I'll come up with next time. It will depend on whats leftover in my fridge and what's in my pantry. Because of your video I really hope more people start enjoying quiche.
It is so good to see a fellow Kentuckian doing videos of recipes of foods I love that remind me of home. Love the way you show how to do the recipes! I plan to make this for my husband and I very soon. I hope you keep doing these videos as you do such a great job!
I am not a very imaginative cook. I thank you for the tip that actually you can bake these ingredients in ramekins. Why I have never thought of it, I don't know but when I'd rather do without a crust, that's a perfect solution. Love your ingredient choices. I probably would include mushrooms in mine because I like them.
I use a 12 oz can of evaporated milk when I make a quiche. It's more nutritious than heavy cream, less expensive, and I just about always have a can on hand so that I could make a quiche almost any day with ingredients on hand. Heavy cream is a wonderful ingredient in almost any quiche. If I lived on a dairy farm I'd use it pretty often. Evaporated milk seems to work as well as heavy cream so it can be used interchangeably, according to my experience.
Yum - We either make without crust or use left over crumbled buttered cornbread or rinsed pinto beans mashed with a little bacon drippings for a bottom crust
Thanks! I always enjoy your instructions, and love of cooking!!! Merry Christmas to you and your family!! I will make 2 Quiches for our Christmas gathering this year❤
I don’t have the pie crust but I do have some potatoes, mushrooms, and peppers that need to be used. I got some sausage yesterday. This will be more of an egg bake that a quiche. I will make the actual quiche at some point
Thanks for telling me something I already know. Don't you just LOVE when someone has absolutely no clue what you said, but they reply anyways in such a way that they think otherwise...!? ...and it's simply because they want to be right and insist the one they're replying to is, somehow, wrong.
No no no no no no, now. You have to show and explain how you make this crust with pie weights. I am so much better learning when I can see it, then hear it or read it. I've seen a lot of people doing this stuff with beans and using pie weights. I had never heard of this in my life until recently. Our family always just put the pie crust in the pan and poked holes in it. Then, we would put it in the oven for a while, just slightly Brown it. You are going to have to show a video on this. This recipe sounds awesome. I have to totally make it for my family. I just need that pie crust instruction in a better way than what you're explaining. Can you show us
Where have you been and why did your videos just now pop into my feed?! I've watched a few and everything you've made looks amazing! I'm in the middle of a kitchen rebuild (don't ask ) but I can't wait to try your sweet and sour chicken and this quiche. Yum! Now back to binge watching your work :)
Wow, thank you! You have made our day! We are so excited to have you watching! You've certainly encouraged us! Good luck with the kitchen rebuild. I know it's probably not any fun right now but think about how much you're going to love it when it's finished. Thanks again for watching. We are very appreciative.
If you end up with a little extra peppers, onion, sausage … whatever (before adding them to the eggs;) just set them aside for pizza a bit later. Two birds with one stone!
On the written recipe in the description box, we placed a CORRECTION stating that the temperature is 425 degrees not the temperature stated in the video. I'm sorry you missed that part of the written recipe. I hope this clears it up for you.
I’m very sorry. We just played the one from today on a different device and it was fine. I’m not able to offer you any corrective steps to fix it. I hope you’re able to watch the rest of the videos okay. We really appreciate you for giving them a try.
please i try to find your recipes and i keep getting this ugly green monster....i was looking for pulled pork and can not find most of your recipes???????
Looks good can't wait to try it
It's so good! And a quiche like this is wonderful for any meal of the day. I sure hope you try it soon.

Looks great, Love your videos. so easy to make, the way you explain All the Details. Thank you.
Finally a quiche that my Dan will like!!😘😊
I ditch the carb-laden pie crust, really no need for it, and just bake in a buttered 9X23 baking dish. 😊👍
😂9X23??? THAT WOULD MAKE A BIG QUICHE! 9X13😂

Hi well my children love quiche so I took this recipe to make it for them when they come over this weekend.
I hope they love it! Thank you for watching our video. We appreciate it so much.
Thanks for sharing your recipes. I just put a quiche on my weekly dinner menu
I make a quiche/fritatta/egg casserole from leftovers of cooked spaghetti squash instead of potatoes.........still a carb but healthier choice.
Waiting late but perfect for planning this weekend. Thank you.
Thank you! ❤

Hey! That still sounds great!
Hmmm... I don't believe I've ever heard of baking a pie crust for quiche.
I don't believe I have quiche often enough. This looks very tasty!
Quiche without pie crust is a Frittata. Quiche always has a crust.
Thanks for telling me something I already know.

Can I change the sausage to smoked ham...
I thought of Earnest Goes to Camp 😂
"A man who’s never tasted quiche!"

Egg custard and coconut custard pie
Sorry can’t seem to get the written receipt, with the ingredients
The recipe says heat at 425, but you said 375. So which is it? Thanks
