I came here for a goofy April Fool’s Day episode, and I got a meaningful exploration of the difficulties facing historians in reconstructing the lives of Bronze Age rulers. Quinton came out here and spoke on the fine line between legendary histories and manufactured legacies. Very well done!

I mean you gotta imagine, ancient egypt's first dynasties were already archaelogically researched by later ancient egyptian historians (although their idea of history was ofc different then ours today). Ramses II. lead huge expeditions to temples which were already ancient even then for example. Oh and the dynastic order we have today? Totally pulled out of manethos ass prabably, partially? You get what I mean XD (he was a greek who lived in the 3rd century bc)
