See that's a thing with Spider Man that I feel sometimes gets misunderstood. He jokes during fights to deal with the sense of panic he feels. Peter never got training that made his emotions and sense of fear nonexistent. He got the powers and dawned the suit having only whatever he knew and taught himself. And to his benefit, when he starts to annoy his opponents, they might start to slip up and give him an opening he can use. Sometimes the bravest person is the most afraid. He who cracks a smile in the face of danger isn't fearless, he's afraid. There's always something to loose and something to loath. I also overall just love the interactions between these to.
I agree that Spider-Man’s quips and wisecracks are a coping mechanism for the challenges he faces, but I’d like to add being able to sense danger before it happens also contributes to Peter’s cockiness

At best he could learn some grappling techniques to help in hand to hand, but for the most part his insane agility, webs and strength make it a non-issue.

I always felt like the interactions were awkward, almost like the voice acting was incomplete or a lot of audio was deleted and all that was left was 1/4 of the lines recorded.

I REALLY need black widow to come back in the mcu. In anyway. Even now I don't give a damn of how. Natasha can have so many interactions with a lot of other characters and would make a great mentor for Spiderman. Maybe and a parent figure. Just like Iron Man. In this way her story can definitely still be continued.

Yeah it's just a shame that I can't bring myself to play this boring game anymore. I played through the campaign and have zero interest in playing it again. Plus if I want to play good Spiderman I'll just play Spiderman because it's always a delight.
