Everyone’s talking about Willem as the goblin (which was fucking amazing, don’t get me wrong) but nobody’s gonna mention how he pulled at our heartstrings as Norman Osborn. I spent the first half of the movie wanting to hug him and the second half wanting to run as far away as possible.
It’s insane seeing this. I was four years old when I saw the Goblin. FOUR! And now I’m 22, seeing my childhood come back. Nothing will ever bring back my childhood like Spider-Man.
Alfred Molina took the credit for the villain with the most conscience in Spider-Man 2, and now in No Way Home he returned to remember that you can always choose. I loved his performance.😍👏
Seeing Defoe and Molina together, really brings my childhood together full circle. I genuinely hope all the Spider-Men are here I really wanna see my man Tobey
It is really iconic to see them interacting, isn't it? Take a look at this behind the scenes clip from Spider-Man: 2 ruclips.net/video/Yjw-vWmHSPI/видео.html
Unbelievable point in movie history. It was surreal to hear Alfred and Jamie were returning way back when, but when I heard Willem was rumoured to return, I couldn’t believe it whatsoever. His stature as a villain in that original trilogy is like none other.
He will probably not die this time. In fact he could reunite with Sam Raimi, (The director of the original Trilogy) and be an integral part of the new Dr. Strange movie that he is also directing.
SPOILER WARNING: I honestly cannot help but adore Alfred’s performance more than any other in the movie - as much as Andrew & Tobey fulfilled that role of mentoring Tom - I honestly feel like the person taking that guardian role was Dr Octopus - dealing with Electro & trying to make others feel better - like he’d always wanted… felt like he has put that last piece of the puzzle into its place - & the truth is - I already thought he had completed it… but now after seeing that film, I can acknowledge - he needed that last push
@@justinvanveenar2953 Sandman & Jameson are both in fact in the film - filling the roles that are obvious they would, JJJ being a nosy Spider-Man hater & Sandman being a tragic/misunderstood villain

Let’s all acknowledge Jamie Foxx here. He’s finally had the chance to redeem himself as Electro, and he brought the character to a whole new level. Honestly he was one of my favorite parts of NWH
These guys are classy as fuck. Jamie hasn't played electro in seven years and Alfred and Willem are going on 20 years but they all come back and they all give incredible performances true to the characters. It feels like they all just picked up right where they left off
Jamie Foxx was the least believable. Just a generic black guy with a fade. Did anyone watch his character and think "this guy's a scientist working at one of the biggest companies in the world?"
@@FibaFanatic So you want Jamie fox to also do the writers job and make him come across more Harvard grad student. Jamie did wonderful. It’s hard to have a couple of lines and 69% of them be jokes and not come off corny. He came off funny but still powerful enough not to be toyed with, so job well done.
@@thatpart6216 I agree with you. Writers to blame as well. Jamie didn't do a good job delivering what was given to him though. Acting is 50% of it. Nothing about Jamie Foxx in the latest movie gave that "leading scientist at Oscorp" vibe. It was like he's a diff character entirely.
With Jaime talking about being personal, that definitely fits Goblin’s character, because he’s always been a more personal villian, targeting Peter Parker more than anyone else. If I remember correctly, there’s a Stan Lee quote where he said that Doc Ock is Spider-Man’s greatest enemy, while Green Goblin is Peter Parker’s greatest enemy.
There is an interesting contrast in the Raimi movies. Norman Osborn is an awful person before he goes insane as the Goblin. He actively seeks to replace his own son with someone already near to his family that he believe he can mold to his purposes better than what he has in Harry. The movie Otto Octavius starts off as a someone with admirable qualities. Genius in his field, beautiful wife, and happy to mentor Peter Parker as a promising student rather than a replacement son. At the end, Osborn is most concerned with maintaining his image ("Don't tell Harry."), while Otto in his moment of clarity is concerned that he will be seen as as a monster because it would be deserved for his acts, and chooses a death he might have evaded to set things right. If I could feel sympathy for any of the Raimi Spider-man villains, it would be for Otto, with Flint 'Sandman' Marko a distant second.
I never knew Alfred Molina was English! They really nailed it with the casting of these villians in the old Spidey movies. I mean Willam Defoe Is a PEFRECT Green Goblin, the look, the VOICE. Jamie's Electro is the biggest change from the comic material but he's a great actor and pulls it off really well! So pumped for this movie!
As someone who just watched the movie, all the praises they gave the movie in this clip were absolutely deserved. When Dafoe said they put a new spin on goblin, he wasn't just blowing smoke, he was telling the truth! Cool to see a panel where the cast does seem to be genuinely pleased to be back in their roles
Absolutely! And it’s because they had such a great time returning to the roles that made the movie’s performances stand out even more. And when Osborn took those donuts from the table, I was flat out laughing.
Dafoe's portrayal on this movie made me cry. His internal battle... It showed Osborn's awareness that his search for glory had led him to shame. I think the reason why so many people think this current interpretation of the Goblin is so frightning/menacing/scary is because it shows our current state of society where we are all one incident from going crazy. Also, Doc Oc, realizing that he had died and that they were all suppose to be dead was heartbreaking. Doc Oc understating that they had to go back and stick to their fates. Doc Oc acknowledging that he had to help the enemy make things right, even if it wasn't in his best interest was downright sad but proved why Doc Oc is probably the most noble of all the comic characters, even if he is a villain. Doc Oc in my opinion works from a sense of duty and dignity, without seeking glory or validation.
I liked the touch of Norman destroying his mask. It allowed Willem to really show how insane the persona of the Goblin is through his facial expressions
This reunion involves 20 years of the most iconic Spider-man franchises; an unprecedented event in the film industry. This is going to be one of the biggest crossover in the cinema history!
To Sam Raimi, Marc Webb and Jon Watts tremendous directors of live-action Spider-Man movies! And, Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse Peter Ramsey, Bob Persichetti and Rodney Rothman brilliant minds!
I love Jamie Foxx's explanation at the end. They are all terrifying because of their power, but Green Goblin moreso because of the relationship he had with Peter in the original films.
But "this" Green Goblin doesn't have any relations with MCU's Spidey. I will probably laugh my ass off if they reveal that this version of GG have grudges against a Tony Stark.
Seeing my childhood villains back in the MCU is crazy. I can't believe they've found a way to bring them all back. I'm excited to see this masterpiece in theaters.
During the pitch meeting: Dafoe: How? Kevin/John/Amy: We broke the multiverse. Dafoe: You broke the multiverse?! Kevin/John/Amy: We broke the multiverse! Dafoe: back to formula.
I love Alfred and Willem, but I’m so happy Jamie is getting a second chance his look for the film is killing it. Also it’s good that the actors who played sandman and the lizard are getting to play their characters again.
The way Dafoe pronounces spoilers gives me chills his voice is so so villainous which is great for the Green Goblin I’m so happy to see my childhood back
If you're wondering why Jamie seems so awkward when he says "I'm happy we got a brand new look," it's because Willem just spoiled the new suits and when they cut away from Willem to talk to Alfred you could clearly hear somebody chewing Willem out for saying too much, and Jamie was totally watching. He didn't wanna get chewed out like Willem did.
I agree with Jamie. Willems voice combined with Green Goblins malice makes him one of the scariest movie villains to this day. Also the "Out am I?" scene
Yeah, I'd say Electro could probably do the most damage and Doc Ock is probably the most visually scary, but Willem as The Goblin is just so chilling and perfect. Everything Jamie said is so true.
@@ImAdumb Nah, he needs constant power from a source to destroy stuff, while Sandman can just absorb multiple beaches that surround Manhattan, and destroy cities with a massive sandstorm.
Willem said there were upgrades to his suit and there is more purpose in his character's views than the original movie. So a few things kind of spoiled. But maybe those comments were ok since they weren't cut.
Dafoe and Molina are so iconic and kudos to MCU for bringing them back in such spectacular manner. Also my mind was blown seeing how they played the characters exactly the way they played 20 years ago. It was crazy cool!

As of Christmas Day, I have now seen No Way Home 3 times and this movie is still too good to be true. The nostalgia came rushing back like a mighty flood when all 3 Spider-mans met and interacted with each other. The classic villains, however, took this movie to another level. I’m still trying to process the fact that I really got to see these amazing actors return to their iconic villain roles after all these years and still killed every scene that they were in. Jamie Foxx’s Electro-> Classically hilarious and villainously charismatic Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock -> Splendidly spectacular, explosively interesting to watch and true to his villainous roots. Willem Defoe -> BRILLIANTLY CRUSHED AND STOLE EVERY SCENE HE WAS IN. Goodness gracious his performance was so phenomenal and terrifying as GG like he was in Raimi’s Spider-man 1. PUT RESPECT ON HIS NAME AND GIVE THIS MAN AN OSCAR!!!!!!

@spitfireGames I get where you're going with this, BUT isn't this exactly what the MCU just did with Endgame, literally paving the way for this Spidermen bonanza to be able to take place???
@@dellytancyl524 MCU had Kevin Feige orchestrate everything from Iron Man on out. Spiderman was with Sony for the first 5 movies, out of Feige's direct influence. I'm so happy that Foxx is getting another shot at Electro. Of course, Molina and Dafoe already portrayed great villains, but I'm way more excited to see what they do with Electro in this movie
It's amazing to see Alfred Molina being his normal self and realizing how jovial and lighthearted of a guy he is in comparison to his portrayal as a friendly but ambitious genius with high expectations and then a terrifying madman driven insane by his own creation.
To see these three legends together and expressing their love for reprising their roles (amongst other things) is so wholesome to me because the character's they played helped contribute to my childhood. Can't wait to see them dominate the screen in a couple of weeks, along with two other **certain** ppl
Me too, Willem and Alfred were my childhood while Jamie was my teenhood. Here's to this Spider Man movie being the best Spider Man movie when it comes out and being the culmination to both the Homecoming trilogy and the saga that began in 2002.
Man, these guys are such wordsmiths. They perfectly convey what they're saying with their own unique twist. Jamie is more musical, feeling the words out and letting them come naturally. Molina is a poet; everything flows together and has a larger meaning. Dafoe gets straight to the point; his words don't lack meaning, but he knows the most efficient way to get them out and still manages to say so much. These guys are pros...mainly at hiding spoilers, is what I'm trying to say.
As a lifetime fan of Spider-Man who was just a kid watching the first film, it brought me chills to watch The fight between Toby and Willem once again. Hands down it was the best movie I’ve seen in a very long time, simply because it made me feel like a kid again. Amazing actors

@@FibaFanatic he has to still follow a script. They didn’t even put glasses on him. He can’t control that. Lol still did a awesome job.
Yeah, Stan said something along those lines, that Otto was his favorite villain, but Norman was *the* Spiderman villain.
After all, it was the Green Goblin who killed Gwen Stacy to hurt Peter Parker

Willed Dafoe is a pedigree actor, man. From Platoon to Light House to Spider-Man, To Live and die in LA, Florida Project, he’s given his 110% for every role he’s had. Deserves an Oscar, asap.
Jamie is the best actor of the three
@@showgamez5257 lmao
@Denis Gamero Platoon is incredible, that should have been his.
@Denis Gamero he’s been nominated plenty o times, but that elusive Oscar statuette just never became his :(
He's so great he made Speed 2: Cruise Control and XXX 2: State of the Union watchable.
Jamie Foxx’s Electro-> Classically hilarious and villainously charismatic
Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock -> Splendidly spectacular, explosively interesting to watch and true to his villainous roots.
The culmination of 20 years and three generations of Spider-Man trilogies... 9 movies along with their original legendary actors coming together... This is amounting to be more of a historical event in film history than anything.
8 movies cause they never made amazing 3😢
Still awesome comment man
@spitfireGames I get where you're going with this, BUT isn't this exactly what the MCU just did with Endgame, literally paving the way for this Spidermen bonanza to be able to take place???
@@dellytancyl524 MCU had Kevin Feige orchestrate everything from Iron Man on out. Spiderman was with Sony for the first 5 movies, out of Feige's direct influence. And of those 5 movies, there were multiple directors, multiple writers, multiple artistic decisions (good or bad) pulling the franchise every which way. It's a miracle to be even taken into MCU's fold, and it's even a bigger miracle they can pull this off, at the behest of Marvel's MCU multiversal storyline.
@@nizamrahman4665 well technically, they haven't pulled it off yet. we won't know until next week.
I like how Jamie humbly admitted that Willem will be the most interesting villain because low key that’s who all the day one Spider-Man movie fans are itching to see return. Willems performance as the green goblin was absolutely unforgettable.
ruclips.net/video/GZB9lqyAou0/видео.html🔥🔥
Some men were born to be a role. Willem was born to always be the Goblin/Norman. And now, after 19 years. He can show that to a whole new generation of Spider-Man fans
Plus like he said its much more personal for the Goblin
@@TheLegitMind the question is now: how did it become personal for Norman in this film?
Doc Ock is my favorite villain but Goblin is the OG.
I'm so happy that Foxx is getting another shot at Electro. Of course, Molina and Dafoe already portrayed great villains, but I'm way more excited to see what they do with Electro in this movie
Same.
Electro has always been a favourite Tragic villain of mine.
I'm hoping he's the MCU variant of Electro. Jon Watts and the writers could pull off a surprise character twist. 🤞🤞🤞
@@gavinoconnorclarke5270 hope not, I want TASM electro to be redeemed
@@allahuakbar3639 yeah, same
Let's just hope he doesn't butcher this movie
It's amazing to see Alfred Molina being his normal self and realizing how jovial and lighthearted of a guy he is in comparison to his portrayal as a friendly but ambitious genius with high expectations and then a terrifying madman driven insane by his own creation.
You should see his interviews with Craig Ferguson. They’re hilarious
I had no idea Alfred was 70. He looks great!
Yeah he looks great. Very nice skin. Looks 10-15yrs younger
He was in the first Indiana Jones
Brillient but lazy
@@nenabunena yes very nice organs and blood and bones yes
he’s 68 actually :)
To see these three legends together and expressing their love for reprising their roles (amongst other things) is so wholesome to me because the character's they played helped contribute to my childhood. Can't wait to see them dominate the screen in a couple of weeks, along with two other **certain** ppl
@Herb Coswell gyllenhaal 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.....
@@KENSHIROez3260 yes they are the real legends
Me too, Willem and Alfred were my childhood while Jamie was my teenhood. Here's to this Spider Man movie being the best Spider Man movie when it comes out and being the culmination to both the Homecoming trilogy and the saga that began in 2002.
@@DedricSilva I know right, lol!
And you're good at analysing them geez
@@DekuMav and you’re a awesome for comprehending his conclusive judgement.

Alfred: “For me it’s just about the money”@2:40 😂
As a lifetime fan of Spider-Man who was just a kid watching the first film, it brought me chills to watch The fight between Toby and Willem once again. Hands down it was the best movie I’ve seen in a very long time, simply because it made me feel like a kid again. Amazing actors
I have been excited for this movie, but I don’t think it was until this moment when I actually felt nostalgic. While watching this clip, I felt giddy and nearly jumped out of my seat. I just can’t believe that Willem and Alfred, two of the greatest comicbook villains ever brought to screen and who terrified me as a child are coming back. I watched them when I was in preschool, now I’m a freshman in college. It also feels amazing to have Jaime back and for him to have a second chance. And of course, I will most likely cry when (when, not if) Tobey and Andrew step out.
Edit: Holy cow the likes! Thanks guys!! God bless you!
I like your pfp
@@RenaldoBisnath lmao
@@RenaldoBisnath thanks I like yours too
after the movie come out there will be a painel with all 3 spider man on a interview ehehe...tom holland said that it is a combination of the trilogy but not only personal it will be a combination of the peter/spider man universe as we know it today...the concept of the multiverse will indeed start in this film in cinematographic terms (loki ) however, when it comes to the spider man's multiverse I believe it will start to develop and resolve itself in this film since it is the end of a cycle that started in 2002 but the multiverse will continue corrupting the difference and they saw other threats other creatures /multiversal beings related to strange dr ant man(kang)and the like...the new spider man trilogy will address antagonists/villains or at least some of them for the first time in cinema like kraven black cat chameleon and the like yes there can be a version of gwen's harry yes in the marvel universe but the vast majority will be villains or characters previously existing in the mcu although they have never been mentioned I believe the multiverse will not be part of the new trilogy maybe only in the 6th movie with the presumed death/end of the journey of peter parker then maybe yes and with the odd dr on the move again or his successor ahahah
@@geekapedia3862 thanks they're just my action figures lol
Now we want an interview with Tobey, Andrew, and Tom in it
Yes
Yes. PLEASE.
I missed the part where that's my problem.
@@ezpz4646 I'm not sure man, Andrew and Tom will be eveready for a combined interview, but Tobey is a bit of a hard guy to convince for an interview considering he hates the media/paparazzi and doesn't interact much with the public...
i love the fact that Willem and Alfred enjoy Jamie humour.Seeing these 2 legends laugh at Jamie is the most wholesome thing ever.
Yeah
I took my kids to see this movie and I confess that I had tears in my eyes at the end, I could feel the love involved in the movie, it wasn't a "blockbuster" play, it was something made in a very special way, I haven't felt anything like it since the Lord of the Rings. This movie made me believe for the first time in Tom Holland's Spiderman. Thanks fron Brazil.
Oh my gosh when I watched lord of the rings for the first time I was like oh my god this has got to be one of the best films I’ve ever seen, and I felt exactly the same way with no way home it’s so amazin!!
