Ben Hanna is the President and Owner of Heirloom Roses in St. Paul, Oregon, the premier nursery for own-root roses shipped directly to the customer in the US and Canada. Ben’s love of roses goes back to his grandparents’ garden, and he even proposed to his wife, Kara, at the Portland International Rose Garden. He is the visionary behind Heirloom Roses, constantly expanding the company and improving systems and procedures with the customer experience and gardening success in mind. He loves that all five of his children have worked with him at the nursery. Ben enjoys spending time gardening and exploring the Pacific Northwest, most recently trekking up Mount St. Helen’s with Kara and their kids.

I was plagued with rose curculios in NorCal for 10 years (a weevil that bores into the buds) and I credit soil life enrichment with somehow bringing in a soil predator that targeted the nymphs. They're gone!
