Up here in Alaska, a suppressor on your bolt rifle is a pretty common thing nowadays, the idea being that it’s harder for brown bear and grizzlies to pinpoint the location of the shot(s) and gives you a little more time breaking an animal down. Some places, a rifle shot is an invitation for bears to come to your kill site.

Just a rant but as a call of duty player it bugs me that in the newer games suppressors don’t affect muzzle flash, only sound and range, so the only thing that hides my muzzle flash is an actual flash hider. Especially in the new mw2 since they’re obviously going for some sort of gun realism

John Wick! Similar to other movies, the gunshots sound comically quiet and whistle like. Not to mention, but even with the amount of suppression that the guns have, assuming suppressors functioned like this, the people around them would’ve easily been able to pick out the gunshots and granite kicking up from the walls. I guess every civilian was deaf in that movie, otherwise, the gunshots were actually even quieter than portrayed.

This is literally the definition of suffering builds character. Also this would be the first time anyone has ever heard the word project used in a positive manner. These are the things we should be doing for ourselves to stay frosty out there. It makes sense though that the military now exist outside of the military bcuz now there will be no separation created between warrior and regular people. We should always protect these “regular people” bcuz we love them and never want them to suffer in non positive ways.

Shoot first possess a violent mindset (military mindset) have intense training and finally get very very very veeery lucky during the gunfight. Learned these basic tips in OEF. Communication and movement is also Uber important but requires serious training to do correctly under stress. You don’t have what I said then you’ll most likely die and if your a cake eating civilian you’ll go to prison for murder for shooting first

Thank America. In 1934, all sorts of stupid things were restricted. Suppressors, because Hollywood movies made a .50 BMG sound like a mouse fart with a suppressor...when actually they would still deafen people without hearing protection. Basically, we screwed up guns for the Western Hemisphere because FDR wanted to _disarm the peasants_ so that he could get away with more and more.
Another reason...too much poaching during the Great Depression.
