These are the things that I do to ensure that my hair retains the length that it grows! 9 times out of 10 your hair will grow so the problem that most of us have is that we are not retaining the length that we grow! I saw 3b-4c and had to watch, that's me. The tangle struggle is a bear! After much shedding due to manipulation, I leave my hair in twists. I moisturize with water, a leave-in, and seal with an oil or a butter every two days. I wear clips-ins or wigs for a professional look. When I wash my hair in small twists the tangles become unbearable 😫. I think blow drying to stretch it daily, gentle detangling will save me from tangled knots on wash day. I will look for your full wash day routine. I missed the sale, but need to order your products ASAP.

Detangling everyday? Wouldn't that be over manipulation, and how will your hair be in protective styles when you detangle everyday especially for us 4c naturals? 🙁
that's what I was thinking. The doesn't work unless you have soft hair, you literally cannot detangle type 4 hair when it's dry lol
The fact that she can simply unbraid and brush without anything hurts a bit. My hair would be in the garbage can if I did this nightly.
@@mauikaimalone she said she usually co washes every day so I guess she doesn’t normally detangle dry. But I agree the way she did it in the video is not 4c friendly at all.

Be careful with the natural hair care gurus. WATCH out for their hair type before you go all in with their suggested method.
Her advice works for any curl type. She is working with blown out hair, brushing and moisturizing daily and putting it in two long twists to keep the tangles away. If she manipulated her curly hair like this it would break off.

I love this. I have 3c hair thats pretty heat trained (damaged) on the perimeter and ends. Its barely past bra strap length but im motivated to try for waist length and beyond. My plan is to cornrow and use clip in hair extensions as a protective style. Ill wash deep condish and repeat every 1-3 weeks! Let’s do thissssss

Hi, I am so grateful that you mentioned your sometimes becoming tangled matted. My daughter who has 4C hair, very thick and long, is dealing with the same issue. It is so badly matted in the top that she wants to cut it off. Do you have any products that would do the job of de-matting her hair. We’ve worked very hard to get the back done the issue is with the top. We need help!!!!

Hello, yes our Black Rice Water Deep Conditioner (leave it in her hair for a hour) then try to detangle in sections using our ultimate detangling brush
Do you think detangling daily would work for people with tighter curl patterns or fine stands? I've heard many with tighter curls say they retain length by keeping their hands out of their heads.
Definitely wouldn’t work for my type 4 hair. The less detangling the better if your hair is more coils bc the breakage will increase with more manipulation
How do you keep your curls from falling throughout the day? What spray do you use?

Hun, I have low porosity hair. I just ordered a steamer cause my hair has a hard time penetrating the moisture to my hair. However, lately I have been wetting my hair and doing the same braid. Is that bad for my hair? Cause I heard that water can be damanaging. I want to try your method out however, does it work for low porosity hair? My ends are super dry

You’re not using heat if it’s on the cool setting so no it won’t cause heat damage

I use cool most of the time to minimize heat on my hair. But if I’m in a hurry I’ll use medium heat

If I don’t detangle my hair frequently it will become a matted mess and take hours to detangle and may even have to be cut so it’s working great for me

Hey thanks for the reply! I used to follow a similar routine in high school and it broke my hair off? I’d never wear my curls cuz my pattern was WRECKED. Clearly it works for your hair cuz it’s beautifully long, but it destroyed mine (3b-3c fine high porosity). I started detangling every 1-2 weeks (wet w conditioner) and now my hair is just past waist length! Do you ever detangle wet?

@@Storm411z Oh yes. Fine hair will snap at an instant. I have fine hair around my perimeter and at my nape and one day I just noticed that I had pieces that were much shorter than others. Smh.
