You're really supposed to wear curly hair stretched. It's not good to let it shrink. Try your best not to let it shrink and it'll get long quicker. Wash it in plats or twists. Never let it completely shrink.

I use the exact same regimen (minus the end style, I do 4 plaits and tuck the ends in) and I have near waist-length hair.. Awesome job!

She’s not lying on the stretch hair retaining length I blow dried my hair a lot when I first went natural my hair seem like it would take off literally overnight I may go back to that

I do the same thing and it really helps with length retention! wash n gos give me ssks often so I wear them sparingly.
I DO THISSSSSSSSS I literally sit for hours a day or when ever I have time and dedicate it to cut open ends one hair strand at a time!! It really works to retain length! I had a bad hair cut a year ago and it went back to the exact length I had it in a year it touches just above my tailbone

I do Wash and gos in a the summer but the rest of the time I notice I’m retaining more length the rest of the year I’m keeping it sealed

🤔I'm going to start back stretching my hair w/blow dryer( It been several yrs).I usually just wash and plait or twist it up for a few days remoisturize re-plait then stretch it with scruchies or thread it up.Thx for the video😍Your hair is beautiful.

Let me first start out by saying why did I not think of blow drying on cool. 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ then I really like the thought of cutting only the split ends and knots. Im going to try all of this cause you are on to something. Now I do sleep with a silk hat I got from amazon. That helps me a lot. RUclips is playing me with the 🔔 why can't I hit .
I’m going to start doing this because my hair shrinks so bad that I end up not wanting to wash it which makes washed day horrible. Thankfully my hair grows anyway but I love the look of this more than my shrunken wash n go. Thanks

I loved this♥️ I will take the stretched hair process into consideration more, often times I do wear my hair stretched because just wearing my curly hair sometimes is too much and having to detangle curly hair is time consuming.

I think the blow dryer with the comb attachment takes most of us back to childhood. It is way better than these blowdryers naturals are promoting now of days.

i have 4c-z hair i dont think i could just brush my hair dry like that :-/ my grandma recently COMBED it while dry and i was cringing the entire time she did it. I could just feel the breakage. Can you do a tutorial on how you prepare your hair for blowouts/ how to THOROUGHLY DETANGLE your hair before combing

1. Do you ever find hair that splits higher? I part my hair, and I see a lot of flyaways. I know I know our hair grows from the root, and will be shorter as it grows...but it is more than I desire.
2. The aloe juice you use..... Do you use the one with preservatives in it or without? If with does it make a difference?

this video is literally godsent lol your hair texture is really similar to mine and I've been thinking about doing something similar in order to retain length (I did it for a while and it worked but then I got super paranoid about heat damage because I have a looser texture hair naturally in the front and back of my head)
If I follow this my hair will be long but dry feeling. I need a real leave in and solid cream lol. I like my hair to feel silky and smooth.
It’s so tempting to put it on hot because it gets extra smooth.
ive basically been doing this for the last couple months and i did a wash and go a coupled days ago for the first time... my hair was so much thicker it is crazy. this must really work because my hair was much fuller

Wow 😍 cool air makes my hair feel stiff tho. I have bra strap length 4c hair but with my shrinkage you'd never know 😤 and don't get me started on the tangles and knots every time it shrinks up. 💀

1-2 times a week. And other than the leave in I use after deep conditioning nothing.

I always deep condition once a week, but I might have to amp it up to twice a week, because I start losing moisture by day 5 or 6, even though I use the LCBO method for this winter season. I dust my ends when needed. I must learn how to flat twist and cornrow braid this year, and will it be easier for me to learn how to flat twist first, and then learn how to cornrow braid, Maryam? Great length retention routine. Great length!

Does blow drying your hair often change your curl pattern? I've been wanting to try blow drying on wash days because my hair behaves so much better stretched but I'm scared of heat damage.

Fab Kass once a week. Twice if I’m not busy. And yes set it to cool to prevent heat damage!

I cut my hair recently and dont like it so im going to try this to grow it out. i might not do the blow dry though because i have fine strands and blowing my hair out normally cause breakage, but the rest i can rock with.
