    1. Scalp oil (massage then leave on for 1-2 hrs)
    2. Soak your hair (push as much water into it as you can)
    3. 1st cleanse (concentrate on scalp)
    4. Rinse then cleanse #2 (like normal)
    5. Conditioner specifically for detangling under water (5-10 min)
    6. Hair mask/deep conditioner (follow times on container)
    7. Fully rinse out mask/conditioner, no residue
    8. Dry using microfiber towel (~1hr)
    9. Section hair, use leave in conditioner, brush product through hair, and do twist outs
    10. The next day, can separate twist outs (the more you separate, the bigger it gets)

Light product to no product has been a game changer for me. I have a similar texture to her and I’ve been doing rollerset with just a water based leave in…i flat iron the roots and I’m good for 7-21 days depending on style…my hair is the healthiest it’s been in a long time. I have my favorite products & I’ll definitely recommend them when people ask, but for me it’s really in the technique and routine - the products can help make it easier but I like to keep it minimal ❤️🤗

I agree with both messages. As a kid, my hair was very long and the volume was the same. I've since had 2 kids and I'm older and Mt hair volume is a little less. With lockdown, I returned to a minimalist routine and my hair gained about 75% of the volume! I miss the oils and hair masks so I did those plus food detoxes, and it was if I hadn't aged much in certain areas. When you live in a major city, you follow a thousand steps and spend money to try all these things only to go back to what you know...since this is your 2nd recession that you've experienced. I love how simple this is and how it works and how you may also relearn to accept your beauty for what it is and not feel the need to go on trend. Every time I go back to what I know is simple and works, there is someone who appreciates it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...right?

I just want to say thank you for sharing your hair care routine. A few months ago, my hair started falling out (I’ve been natural for years so I couldn’t figure out what was the cause), I mean it was really bad. I did some research and figured that it may have been shedding, but it was scary! I came across your hair routine and I noticed that I have a similar hair type to yours, so I decided to give your routine a try with the best products I could afford. I am happy to say that within about three weeks my hair stopped falling out and my edges started to grow in (a weak area for me). It has been about three months and I have followed your routine every week, I don’t think my hair has ever been this healthy and it is starting to grow like crazy! So thank you, your video really helped me! ❤

  • @jessicaf.2052
    @jessicaf.2052 Год назад +10

    You are so gracious 🥰.
I've learned that the healthiest way to remove any oil from the scalp and hair without damaging or stripping it so much with shampoo and water is by first applying a mask to it (like those 3 minutes miracle treatment mask for exemple). The mask will break down the oil molecules off the hair without offering any resistance to it and all oil residues will be removed. (the opposite happens when you dont apply the mask first, as we all know that water and oil don't mix, which cause more resistance for the total removal of the oil. And the addition of shampoo might strip the hair natural hydration even more than what is necessary). Another tip is to apply a drop of Jojoba oil in your hands before opening the twists. Jojoba oil is one of the only oils that are not greasy and helps your fingers to slide through the hair strains without causing too much freeze. And it actually holds the hydration in the hair strains. these two simple steps make a huge diference on the end results.

    • @michelleclark8099

I love cold press Argan oil. I don’t like the scent of jojoba oil. Smells faintly of hotdogs.

I do all these exact steps except the scalp oil.
I usually wash my hair after 2 to 3 weeks but today I washed it on day 10 and I was wondering if it was too soon.
I had a win today: I can finally pack my TWA into a bun by myself without much stress. 🎉🎉🎉.
I was very close to relaxing my hair over Christmas as I was tired of always needing to find someone to pack my hair into a bun for me so I could wear it in a high or low ponytail.
I definitely could have packed it into a bun by myself but I found the process very tiring and stressful and my two church members that usually helped me pack it in a but travelled for a while.
Although hair care is rather affordable where I live, I feel it is too expensive to pay someone just to pack my hair😂😂 since I can wash it and deep condition it by myself and also apply hair gel and the drawstring ponytail myself . It costs twice as much for them to put my hair in a ponytail than it is to plait it in conrows so it never really made mathematical hair sense to me.😄
Your videos have motivated me to continue with my veeery slow but steady natural hair journey.
Lots of love from Nigeria 🇳🇬.

I agree, after a week of no hair washing it’s dead. It takes so long for my hair to feel hydrated.

Can you show your process for a retwist in between washes? I feel like if I would retwist while the hair is dry, it would be difficult, so I’m curious to know your actual process. Thanks!

I just begin my transition for about a year now, im planning on not doing the big chop but letting it transition with trims for time to time. I have been scared of wash days 😩 cause they look so stressful, where im from we usually just wash our hair at the salon but im trying to know how to do it myself, this routine is so helpful and easy unilike mosy it's for someone like me, cause i easily get ovehelmed 😅
