As a hairstylist for the last 20 years, thank you for putting out this video! All your advice is sound and so good for all hair types. I will add that if you have very fun, very thin hair, you’re not necessarily doing something wrong, genetics do play a major role, but if you follow this advice, your hair can be it’s best version.

@user-nn7jz7xg7q yes you can definitely improve the quality of your hair following the advice in this video. You may also want to watch haircare videos from a youtuber called Katherine Sewing who has category 3-4 hair which is prone to being very dry and frizzy. She fixed her damaged hair and it's extremely beautiful and long now. Your hair texture changes a little over time with hormones too, so if your hair is going grey then the texture will be slightly different from how it used to be, but you can still improve it a lot following a more natural and nourishing routine.

The allure of the stylish women or women of other eras is enticing, but allowing and accepting what God has given us, and really maintaining it with the upmost care is going to make us feel more relaxed and much more beautiful and it allows the inner beauty to show more I believe! Hi Lea, this video makes me happy for what is to come. I have been working a job for the last seven years. My husband has been asking me to quit for years. God got a hold of my heart on this matter and clearly showed me I was disobeying (praise God!). My husband made the final decision to call me home (he said he’s never wanted his wife to work and he didn’t take a wife to make her work) and my last week of work is next week. My husband wants me to spend the first many months on my self and spiritual care. I have been wanting to adopt a natural hair care routine for a long time and I was always exhausted coming home from work so I didn’t have the energy to try something new. I’m really excited to try this routine after my job ends next week. I agree with what you said about us needing to get back to a more natural, God created, historical way of eating and living. You might not have known that, and I totally understand, not offended at all, just wanted to share :) All of this information is beneficial, being 5'10" it would be really unique and awesome too if you did a video with tips for clothing and other things for those of us taller than the average man! I do the castile soap for me and my 3 girls and the ACV rinse and then each of the girls get to pick their essential oil after the hair is air dried...usually honeysuckle, lavender, or another floral scent. This is also very cost effective we all have very long hair so buying any type of premade shampoo and conditioner could get rather expensive. Natural products are much more effective and you need much less. I love that you gave knowledge of all hair types not just yours. Your a so very gracious with your words. Glad I caught this! Since I’ve been in the mountains of TN I’ve stopped using public water. We collect rain water and use sediment filters on our shower. I have very long thick wavy hair and used to wash every 3 days plus using ALOT of conditioner! I’ve cut out the conditioner, and use a seaweed and essential oil natural shampoo. If I need any oil treatment I use a organic Greek oil blend and just comb a tiny bit into mid shaft and to my tips. I now only wash my hair every 3-4 weeks. I find that if I have to use public water my hair will need washing sooner! Crazy isn’t it! I try to sleep in a braid as often as possible and sleep on a satin pillowcase which helps immensely with any tangles.

Just a note on the formaldehyde that I found super interesting. I am taking the Master Herbalist Course from School of Natural Healing- in one of the radio show videos that they had us listen to David Christopher talked about how a Mortician was talking about how they have to use less formaldehyde now then when he began his career 40+ years earlier (this was recorded in the early 2000s) and he was contributing it to the amount of formaldehyde in all the stuff people use and take. I just found that really interesting and sad. Anyways- thanks for the video, one of my goals this year is to completely adapt a natural hair care routine. I already go 7 days between washings but I have a lot of scalp issues and had to transition back to using a shampoo and conditioner (as natural as I could get) but now I realize I was skipping all the oils- I was just washing was castile soap and rinsing with AVC- Im going to add in all the oils and hopefully that will help with the scalp issues. Anyways blessings and Shalom to you!

The women that people consider to be the very most Christian - nuns - actually have most of their heads shaved! Just the little front of their hair that peeks out of the head cover is allowed to be longer. This is to avoid vanity, so I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that your shaved head could be considered just as Christian.
Personally, my desire to transition into more natural lifestyle comes as a way to get away from much of what religion taught me. Crazy how different journeys can get you to the same destination!

This is the first time i have seen anyone in the same boat as me! About 5 years ago, i had ribcage length hair that i had seriously put through the wringer with frequent hair dye, harsh chemicals, and heat tools. It was looking really bad, and i had only just realized it after coming out of a depression funk when my two babies were small. Anyways, i decided to shave the back and sides of my head and chopped the rest to chin length...after a year or two of that style, i simply shaved my head bald. I was exhuasted and couldnt keep up with any self care at the time. Dark place! Well, my hair has been growing out since then, about 4 or 4 1/2 years, and its nearly waist length! My husband os happy to have my long hair back and im learning to appreciate my hair, and care for it naturally. It used to be a type of art for for me, but ive realized that God already created art with my natural hair just the way He made it. Also in recent years, with the LBGTQXYZ nonsense going on and getting more prevalent, i dont want to be lumped into a certain group of people...like it or not, people make assumptions about everyone they see at even a first glance. One day i was at walmart looking for a vitamin, and this maybe 16 or 17 yo kid comes up to me and says "hey, you look pretty chill, will you buy me some cigs?" 🫣 as a conservative bible-believeing and church-going middle aged mom of two, that was like a slap in the face wake up call! I want to glorify my Creator in all things, including my appearence and how i carry myself. And so i made some decisions and have changed how i dress, my hair, wesr no make up anymore, which my skin is happy about and getting ready to go anywhere is so much better.
Sorry, that was a long comment. I was just excited to find someone out there with similar convictions as me!

I had hair like yours ( straighter though) so it was a devastating blow to my emotional state. And it’s impossible to find good advice on clean effective hair care. Everywhere I looked and everyone I spoke with just suggested chemicals. Thank goodness I knew better. Alaffia is excellent AND costs the same as pantene. around 30-50 cents an ounce! ALSO My 32 oz bottle of alaffia lasted almost 6 months!!! I have a bob though and I cleanse my hair twice in the shower but only wash every 3rd day. So wash one day unwashed for two days then wash again. I also started oiling my hair too and my hair is exceptionally healthy it's never been this healthy.

Thank you so much for this, Lea! It came right on time, what a coincidence. I really needed this. My hair started to break or fall and I'm in need of some strength. Not sure what caused it yet, but God willing I will soon. My hair is very oily and I barely use any product, sometimes I would skip conditioner on my ends all together, but I think that was not a good idea. I used to do homemade hair treatments every other week with olive oil, coconut oil or avocado oil and added either honey or and egg, and all of a sudden I just stopped doing it all together. This video was so great! I prayed to God to teach me and guide me on what to eat and how to take care of my hair. Thank you, Lea. I believe this was the Holy Spirit. ❤God bless you.🤗

Great video. Nourishing the inside is of great imp. You have a great routine but I need very simple Simon routine at 61 yrs. I have short, straight hair with little body. In the summer it wilts to no style so I keep it cut on a Bob style. I used to always use baking soda as a wash and ACV as a rinse. It worked great and my hair was so manageable. Somehow I have fallen away from it and use natural shampoos or a 'clean' 🤭 goat milk soap recipe and use that every other day. I wash daily as my hair would be flat and no body. I am hoping to get back into a better natural routine. At my age I wont let it grow because it would look stringy and flat and age me more. Your hair is beautiful!
