My 2024 hair goals.....thicker edges, healthier and itch-free scalp!!!!!
Use cold water only on your hair - this has helped me significantly with my itchy scalp!
Period!! It’s already yours ❤️
The scalp is my number one concern 😢I’m hopeful I’ll conquer it this year!
I notice women who have "evenness" of all of their hair all around have it "looking" long. I don't have it like that so only certain "sections" are up to how their hair is. Its good to keep it in mind.
Just found out the reason why my scalp has been so dry and itchy since I moved is because of hard water. Just bought a shampoo for that and is starting to incorporate the braid scalp spray instead of just oil. Just use the shampoo for the first time tonight and it feels like my scalp has been reset.
I’m on a hair growth journey. I’ve currently doing 6 month growth challenge. I started with a 3 month protective style (washing my hair on a regular). I took out my protective style in November. There was so much growth/length retention. I was so excited. I’m now in my second 3 month protective style cycle. I’m soooo ready to take my hair down because I want to see the growth. I still have 4 weeks to go in this cycle. I don’t want to take my hair down too soon because I can’t keep my hands out of my hair. When wearing my natural I want to try every style I can think of, especially when I see growth. That’s not good for my hair. I have 10-11 inches of hair (based on my November measurements) and my goal is to get to 14-16 inches before my wedding in July. Discipline is key. Thanks for the video. I may do twist from March-June.
Yessss! WOW!!! You are doing the damn thing!!👏🏾 Wishing you many blessings on the upcoming wedding. The length is already yours! Thank you so much for tuning in 🤍🤍
@@AshleyMasse dont forget to show those ends attention for length retention. Every so often use hair gel on the ends with the ingredient hydrogenated wheat protein.
@@lashawnabrady7063I try to stay away from gels, but my ends are just fine! Thank you for the tip
I have a question was the protective style with natural hair or weave
@@AshleyMasse trust me do research about hydrogenated what protein.... this item actually heals split ends. The beauty industry is not promoting that. But if you can prvent splits your hair will grow long. I spent an afternoon going down the rabit hole on this one hair additive.
I can’t get over how chunky and shiny your twists are 😍 when my hair gets your length I might cry
Ahhh tysm!! So excited for you when you get there 🥰🤍
My hair is fine and then… it will grow it’s just thin… if I had thick hair like yours… I would love to wear those twist, but I can’t. 😩😩😩😩😩
Same
Too real 😭
Your hair is a testament to the beauty of black healthy hair. Gorgeous.
Thank you so much ❤
That shrinkage is good, it means you have healthy hair
My hair goals for this year is to:
•Maximize my moisture retention and and say bye to dehydrated hair for good.
•Retain as much length as I can by trimming knots and splits as soon as they appear
• Low tension hair styles
•Healthy Scalp and coils
• Staying consistent with a solid hair care regime.
I know how you can achieve that: check out this blog I also read to improve my hair quality and length royalrecip.blogspot.com/2024/05/unlocking-your-hairs-potential.html
The watch in shower😭😭
I absolutely love this video. I am a hairstylist and the detail and openness about even your back hurting is appreciated because the body does go through it when hair is being dealt with. Also your hair looks fantastic. I am going to try the Rosewater method.
Aww thank you so much for tuning in and relating!🥲❤️ Your work is appreciated! Thank you again☺️
“When you think you need more product, you need more water” that was my biggest lesson I learned TODAY lol.
This is the first video I’ve seen from your channel and it’s good to see someone else do the steps I do for my hair. I always feel like. I gotta do the most for my thick hair lol. But great hair takes times
Aww this is so true! You got this!❤️
I'm on a waist length journey as well, 4a and 4b curls here. I've started 4 years ago and when straight, it's mid back, curly, it lays abundantly on my shoulders. I want it to be curly and chilling in my hip bones so that'll probably be another 6 years (giving myself more time bc I'd rather be pleasantly surprised). I stay on twists and braids, I'm trying to transition into more wash n go's and I've switched most of my wardrobe so that I wear silk or satin, so my hair doesn't break off from friction with the cotton. Satin scrunchies and bonnets are a must and I do eat healthy, work out and drink water. I love seeing other ladies in this journey ❤ hope you continue documenting the journey!!!
i’ve been on my hair growth journey since 2021 and ever since then, I started protective styling with my own hair and my hair has been flourishing, wash n gos and mini twists are my go to’s . they both require little to no manipulation to maintain and it has helped me retain so much length.
Yessss!!!👏🏾👏🏾 Say it again for everyone here!☺️❤️
My goals: armpit length in a year, and more genuine love for my hair
You remind me so much of Tatiana Ali during the Fresh Prince. Just gorgeous! ☺️ I've been enjoying yourr content 😊❤
I’ve been told this so much when I was younger!😭 Thank you so much!!☺️💓💓
Omg I see it too😊
Plus her name is Ashley😅
I use the blue magic and mix it with virgin hair fertilizer and for my leave in spray I use rosemary clove mint and fenugreek. I also just started using shea butter again I haven’t had a good moisturizer in years and I love it
My mom used to use virgin on my hair too!! Hated the smell ohmy😭😭 Your regime sounds bomb 🙌🏾🤍
what shea butter do you use😅
Sista l admire your way to your hair growth journey. I'm going to try your way, as an mature woman I can't keep up with all of the hair growth journey videos I see. 😂
Wow I do the same thing the only thing I add is rotating oils for scalp massages.
How do you prepare the rosemary clove mixture please?
I have them as an oils mixture in olive oil but I want to use them as sprays too
foams are definitely a game changer for my braid outs! i was using pattern beauty’s mousse and although it made my style last very long, my hair felt dry. but now i started cocktailing uncle funky’s daughter curl simulator with a dollop of innersense i create definition foam and my braid out feels so so soft and lasts like 8 days!
Ooooh thanks for sharing!! I should definitely give it a try ☺️💛
Girl!! You're glowing. Just gorgeous!
Thank you so much!!☺️💛
I have a big ol’ hooded dryer and it is indeed a GAME CHANGER!!!!! I’ve been using it for a few years now. I also just got the new (smaller) RevAir for Christmas. I want to try it with twists, exactly as you did! Thanks for the rosemary misting tip!❤
I love it! Yesss!🌟☺️
I’m so happy that you’re getting the recognition that you deserve in this video. May our RUclips channels flourish!! Happy 2024 🥳🥳
GIRL thank you so much!!!😭😭❤️❤️❤️ I really appreciate it and happy new year to you as well!🫶🏾
THIS is NEEDED!!! Thank you for sharing your journey & the wisdom you’ve learned along the way.
Of course! You are so welcome ☺️✨
I’m 15 years old and i always used to to complain about my hair. My mom is white and she doesn’t know anything about type 4 hair but I’m always thankful she tries her best.
I relaxed my hair in July and it came out more as a permanent blow out and not straight. I decided to cut off all the relaxed parts about a month and a half ago and now I have about 6 inches of hair, now I’m trying to learn how to properly take care of my hair. It’s almost always in box braids so I don’t really know how to care for it while it’s in box braids but I’m trying to learn for my and my hairs sake. My 2024 hair goal is for thick natural shoulder length hair. 🙏
(Any advice would be awesome)
Awww I’m so excited for you!❤ If you’d want to learn more about your hair and how to take care of it I just posted a “How to start your curly hair journey” video on my channel! I’d also recommend seeing a professional for better guidance. Wishing you all the best on your journey 🫂
while our in braids mix a light weight conditioner and water in a spray bottle and spritz your real hair while it’s in braids. and oil your scalp 2 times a week!!
This is exactly my routine and I started doing it last month and my hair has dramatically changed already only doing it for 1 month. Even the take down process of my twists - I saw an immediate difference 😊
Love it, Yesss!!🙌🏾✨
I feel your beautiful energy through the screen literally smiled watching this very much insightful video keep it up queen
I was watching like..”she def would tell me to stop using blue magic” so when you pulled it out I got happy 😂 def smells like childhood and truly does help my hair grow
I cut my locs off, my hair was so short I couldn’t even get braids extension’s. Now I can finally do braids and my hair grew so much in 6 months, I also want my hair to be waist length! I feel like it’ll take me about 2 1/2 years but I’ll be patient 🙂 best of wishes on your journey 🫶🏾
I love this for you! Best of wishes on your journey as well!!☺️💖
The shine is unreal!!!

watching this inspired me so much. I love how you explained it so simple and clear. Also girl your so pretty and I'm gonna keep watching your videos!🤩
Thank you so much!!! Ahhh! ☺️💖💖
I am a young black teenager, my mom used to take care of my hair and it used to be super long (when curly it would go down to my chest, when straight it would go down to my butt) but then i obviously got older and I had to learn how to do my own hair. I didn’t know how to at first so I used to just straighten it alllllll the time…it then got super damaged to the point where it would smell burnt for MONTHS. (6-8 months bro..) I then learned how to (kinda) do my hair, but it doesn’t grow like how it used to when my mom styled it. I don’t like getting long braids (although I’m surrounded with girls who have long braids) which sometimes makes me feel bad for making such short hair, I’ve been doing a few things to make my hair grow longer and it has worked. Hopefully this speeds up the process lol new sub💗
Nobody is gonna say how much she looks like Tayla ?
I thought I was the only one that noticed it. She looks Soo much like Tyla
i was telling myself the same thing 😂
Your hair is gorgeous! 🥹
Thank you so much!🤍
Nice!!! ❤❤❤ I am on my hair journey as well. Love this video!!! . I have been consistent with my hair care regiment. I can relate. I got my ends trimmed last year. And my hair in the back seemed shorter. But it has since grown back. Yes!! You are so right!!! How hair does grow with less manipulation. I have been using rosemary water for awhile now and I have seen lots of growth. Rosemary makes the hair thicker and grows the hair. I use it on my wash day and during the week. It’s a game changer. I also put my hair in twist for a week. Thank you for sharing!! Sending everyone love, light and good deeds.❤️❤️🙏🙏☮️☮️

This year I’m simplifying my hair routine. I used to be OD with the products and being in my hair too much. Mini/medium braids is my style of choice this year and consistent trims. I love my RevAir. I use it to stretch my hair before installing my braids and for trims. Best investment.

Ty you have amazing personality and explained everything truly beautifully. ❤
Congratulations Ashley, you’re beautiful as your hair
Thank you so much!!😊
My goal is armpit length. I'm cutting my hair and starting over. But your length now is love 😍
I have both of those products that you use on your head, but what I usually do is I use the hair oil then seal it off with the hair grease❤️
This came right on time! I am trying to figure out how to protect my hair yet not look raggedy. Thank you for the video! 😁
Haha yayy! I’m glad it was helpful ☺️🤍

Focus the rosemary on the scalp more than the hair strands cuz it dryers the hair. love the twist hair style btw looks good on you ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your video. It is very incuraging. I was about to give up on my natural hair and you know it can be a lot to deal with and thick. It's not to my shoulder yet biut I am working on it. I need better patience it seems. That shrinkage gets me as well.
I am so happy that I came across this video
Your hair is gorgeous!!
Thank you so much ❤️
Thanks for sharing your initial thoughts on RevAir! You will be a master of all it can do in just a few more tries. Your hair is gorgeous!
Me, 32 years old watching this on my iPad as I cook 😅 I related so hard to not having an iPad growing up and now I use it for everything hahaha
Yesss!! Hahaha 😂😂💖
Same. I didn't have one either so when I did get one I was like a kid on Christmas 😂
When I unbraided my hair and did my wash and moisturizing routine yesterday, it had grown so much longer and it's on my back. I cornbraided it down to wear in a protective style under my wig. Once my hair reaches the midpoint of my back I'll likely do a silk press to show off the length. Right now I just wanna have fun with hair pieces and keep growing it out! 🌺
This vid makes me want to do a twist out. Loved the end results!! when I use a cream moisturizer before the moose, it makes my hair softer
Ahh thank you so much!!💖 And thank you for the tip! I have my favorite mousses that leaves my hair soft, it’s just it was my first time using this one😭

Beautiful content. Thanks it’s so therapeutic to watch
This means so much! Thank you for watching 🥹🤍
I wish I had your volume and hair thickness. My hair is so thin that twists just don’t look very good in my hair. Makes me look like I don’t have hair 😭 but your hair is gorgeous, girl!! 🎉
Bra strap length is my goal this year!! Your hair is beautiful 🥰
You can do it! And thank you so much!!☺️💖
I’m wishing you the best! My goal is to get my front length as long as the back! I suffered a lot of breakage in the front.
Me too, I made it to armpit after a 1 year and a half! Giving myself ‘til December to get to bra strap length 😂
@@ShutupandListen I know that’s right!!! We got this!!
That shine though 🤩

I do this routine as well lot and it’s a game changer. I haven’t tried the rosemary yet though. I’ll try it. I will never use blue magic on my hair again.
Great video! Definitely recommend African wild growth oil and Mayo and honey and egg hair masks help a lot too!!!
You’re so beautiful! And your video was so helpful❤😊

Your hair is so beautiful, full & thickl! I'm tryna get my hair to look this good in twists because when I do it, it shrinks so much😭I just want more length and fullness..
I just started my hair growth journey and I'm so grateful to you Ashley... See you in six months 🎉🎉🎉

The 4th Month!
I feel you on the shampooing process girl. Especially bc i try to keep my mini twists in as long as i can. So i dont really wash my hair for like 3 weeks(sometimes more) and i gotta really work my scalp to get all that dandruff out
I want thicker, fuller, longer, healthier hair this year❤
Blue Magic especially the Indian Hemp is the best! I need to restock lol.
Wow they’re really shiny ✨
Your hair is gorgeous ❤❤❤
First time coming across your channel but you’re so beautiful!
Stylist slayed all that hair like a Pro... beautiful all round.
yesss!!! had to get back with the blue magic, the blue and green classics
🙌🏾
Great as a sealant. Especially during the winter months. I'm making sure I keep my nap & edges moisturized with it.
your hair is so big and beautiful!!
Thank you so much❤️❤️
i have really short hair. and i hated my 4c type all my life but now i decided that I'll take care of them so my goal is under shoulder length
Greetings from the UK. Your hair is gorgeous. You deserve a medal for how you've treated and grown your hair so far. I am on a hair growth journey. I decided to go back to natural, and get my relaxed hair chopped off in July 2020. From then until now my hair still looks like I have a teeny weeny afro. It was only until I visited my stylist who blow dried my hair before trimming it for the first time in ages, did I realise how much my hair had grown. I have 4c hair which shrinks a lot especially after washing. I love the idea of using rosemary water. I still haven't found the ultimate products to stick with, I'm still chopping and changing. Does rubbing the blue magic onto your scalp helps with hair growth? I've heard so many people say not to do that, I'm confused. I would soooo love to purchase the Revair Reverse Air Dryer but so far it isn't available to the UK, it's only available to the US and Canada. I love the sheen shown in your hair. You're doing a terrific job. Keep it up. ❤
I love mini twist its also my go to style to grow my hair and yes I'm 44 and I love watching my ipad too ❤definitely makes time go by fast i been regrowing my hair since 2021 after covid took my hair out bad
Your hair is beautiful. I am letting my hair grow. However, i do have a relaxer. Thank you for showing the public your routine. Blessings! Hair is a woman's glory. 🙏
Thank you and you’re so welcome!! Regardless of a relaxer, the length you want is already yours ☺️❤️
Im a 15 year old boy and I just started growing my hair January of last year, my hair is js now reaching close to my chin and I’m super happy it keeps getting longer and longer but I do have problems when washing it so I think this will help thanks!
Love your channel and I also I started my journey about a few months ago had to change some things but even since my hair been growing more it’s been 1 months since I started over
Definitely trying out this rosemary water recipe today for wash day🤭🤭
Yess!! You’re going to love it 😊💗💗

Thank you babe 🥰♥️
buying the hair products tomorrow as we speak, your hair is so beautiful and healthy I can’t wait to start my hair journey💓. how often do you wash your hair once doing your twists?
I love blue magic too. My mom also used b&b hair grease too.
Yess!!🙌🏾🤍
ruclips.net/video/i_MKNkT_bU0/видео.html
I used to think that my hair was incapable of growing longer/quickly, but I was proven wrong, thankfully. My problem was that I styled it too much and never really cared for it as much as I should have. Recently, I've started doing mini twists and leaving it for 2 weeks at a time, wearing a silk bonnet, etc. My hair grew much thicker and longer within a few months (I'm not satisfied yet though😭 I need that waist-length hair, too!)
I wouldn't call what I'm doing my "hair care journey" just yet, because I've still got some bad hair habits I need to get rid of. Hopefully, I'm able to achieve my hair goals in the (hopefully) near future!
P.S.: Hair oils do wonders for your hair imo
Your video was so professional and I enjoyed it. You are a beautiful young woman with beautiful hair. I definitely learned somethin from you. NEW SUBSCRIBER!

I scratch my scalp (lightly) and check for cleanliness too😌
I’m on a hair growth journey and I’m about 2 in away from bra strap length. I’m working on retention and making sure not to manipulate my hair when it’s dry. I’m also working on figuring out how to stop the shedding or if it’s just normal. My hair is either braided or braided under a wig
I love the way u put all the details in this video. I have one qxn tho, how do u do ur twists I mean is the base tight or a little loose
Can you make a video and show us how you did the parting? Parting is always the hardest for me and how many twists did you do?
The way you just inspired me with the hair dryer. Took me back to salon days.
Yesss!!🙌🏾 Hair salon at home😭
Yes, when I was relaxed, that was my staple. Now that I'm natural, the Revair does my stretch with ease...🎉😊❤
