  • Learn how to build an easy plant cloning system with 3 different variations. The first 2 are aeroponic cloners and the last is a simple hydroponic cloning method. These really are 3 easy ways to clone your plants. The aeroponic methods are much faster than the hydroponic method of cloning, but both are effective for giving you a new viable crop that you can either plant in the soil or grow using hydroponics/aeroponics. Cloning a mature plant allows its clone to be at the same maturity level and be able to produce fruit within as little as 2 weeks after root development. It's a fast way to to produce more productive plants in a smaller period of time. Links are below! Check em' out!

The pump I linked to takes 3/4" threaded adapters (according to the link) or 1/2" & 3/4" irrigation hosing. Verify that if you purchase a pump online the threading/hoses you plan to use for the cloning build are the same. I am omitting this portion of the linking as I don't know which model you are purchasing. My Pump (same one just older) has a 1/2" threaded output fitting. So I used 1/2" threaded pvc.

The issues I have with this is that the little sprayers gets clogged up, every other day etc. l had my DIY cloners buckets etc out in the garage but in the summertime especially living in south Florida, the water inside the bucket will heat up. If I had a garage with ac running in there, it would had solved the whole problem. Once the water temperature hits 80 degrees it just kills the roots. You need to keep the water temperature around 70 to 75 degrees, give and take some. So I've started making cloners out of ice coolers so the water would stay cooler inside. But the temperature started climbing up through the day. you can always throw bottles of frozen water in the cooler which will bring the temperature down temporally. But it'll go up slowly again. So this year I converted the aeroponics into a hydroponics deep water culture cloner. Using a air pump and air stones to bring oxygen into the water. This way the temperature stays stable throughout the day around 74 degrees. Mostly because there's much more water in it about 10 gallons more compared to having only a gallon of water in it with the aeroponics system. So this summer It's all about deep water cloning.
I haven't decided yet to add any nutrients in it yet. But I just ordered a couple of aquarium sponge filters to keep the water clean.

Thank you for the comment Matt! I hope it helped you or inspired you to clone something. Tomatoes are really easy... Pepper plants on the other hand... They take a lot longer and may not be feasible based on the age of the mother plant. I've, personally, had a lot more success for pepper plants cloning in an aeroponics setup rather than the straight jar method. The RUclips Algorithm HATED This video for ages. Not sure why; I was corny though. Might have something to do with it. lol I'm glad you enjoyed it and learned something! Thank you for sharing!

Ita dunny all i do is take a tray and cut a rockwoll cube in 3 parts use it as the neoprean insert ans manually spray the clones 2 to 3 times a day n it works just like an ez cloner or auro cloner with the old traditional merthod

What is your hole saw size?

I believe those were 1.5" net cups so I just used a 1.5" hole saw. They have a rim which keeps them from falling in.
