They are definitely delicious! It’s actually baking powder, not baking soda, so keep that in mind!👍

A friend and I grew a patch of truckers favorite corn this year. Going to make grits and cornmeal out of it. I ordered it after watching your videos last year. Keep up the great videos.

*Great Video Micah and it looks like a real tasty version of one of the many traditional Elote or fresh corn recipes... Glad that you mentioned the knife thing and nobody got hurt; I was also definitely wincing a bit too.. I thought maybe one of those wonderful young kids who were chop/cutting with the knives... was maybe going to be for the rest of his life... ordering a three-egg omelet with a Peace Sign ✌️...*
*Any who... I've eaten and made many versions of yummy Tamalitos de Elote... But alas.. unless your down south of here or a bit farther north on the Navajo Reservation.. It is hard to get fresh dent corn here in Northern AZ... I've never had the Trucker Corn but it sure looks like it would be perfect for how it was fixed*
*One of our kid's favorite special Corn Tamalitos desserts was using late summer/September time.. .the end of season's older but still edible raw sweet corn, & adding to those cob's cut kernels... some cooled down previously slow cooked/simmered in the can for three hours, condensed milk... aka Dulce de Leche... or "Mom's Finest Kind of Homemade Carmel Sauce," as the kids called it....plus adding lots of vanilla and lots of cinnamon, along with it being copped blender mixed altogether... and then steamed in the husks as your Minister did... It was Served hot or cold & with a dollop of lightly barely sweetened cinnamon whipped cream...*
Thanx again, Micah... I really do Look forward to your vids ..gw

@@gwddmt1 Tamalitos are called "tamalitos" not because a certain filling or not filling at all , they are called tamalitos because of size. Tamalitos are prepared not only in central america but also in North America (Mexico). In the Central American Maya area Mestizo people are a minority. The Majority of people are Native American Mayas.

Was that baking "soda" or "powder"? I know "soda" was said twice but a lot of times people will say soda when they mean powder. JS

      Yes absolutely it was powder!

@jimjordan thank you for asking the question ! That will make a big difference in the taste.
Maybe Mr McGie can put a little correction caption on the video so nobody ruins a big batch of corn using the soda.
