Great to see a communal, multi generational farm harvesting activity. No, it is not bloodless. Yes, it is messy. Food is created that way. Good to see you all demonstrate where our meat actually comes from. Happy Birthday to the one kiddo. Fine job by Grace and the Guys with the small pig. Kudos to the willingness to learn and to guide. Thanks, All!
It's a shame that public schools can not have hands-on processing like this. I've said it before, but these kids have the life. It's tough and there are struggles, but it's a good life.
💪Great video , Caleb was handling his business butchering the pig all the kid's was good . those was some fine look pork pieces they was bagging up to cool down , y'all had a nice spread at the end the food look delicious . love the video👍
Good crew. I couldn't get my kids to help like that but after they were grown they asked me to teach them and do it all the time. I think it takes both parents beeing involved, their dad (my ex) wouldn't do any of that.😐
It’s the product of a lot of things……. But the number one factor is that people are so out of touch with reality….. to the point that they can’t tolerate it.
😲😳😲😳😲😳 I'm in total shock.... did I just witness Micah Mcgie ask if they were keeping the mountain oyster and then saying the dogs will eat em!!! What is this world coming to!!!?
Micah tell them folks your supposed to eat the liver and lights ( lungs) on killing day not grilled shish kabob lol . And I don't like liver but liver that's been rooting around the hog pen this morning is a lot different than the liver ya get at Wal-Mart lol hang in there boys 😁 i thought Caleb and the kids did a great job on there hog . My grand father had three brothers and they all had special jobs one would kill the hog then one was the head man he would break down the head ,then one would gut them and one would cut them up and salt the meat . We would make a balloon out of the bladder . We would not skin them just scale them and scrape them what find memory's for me keep them boys busy it's good for them lol best wishes my friend.
Mary and Mat did exaclent job on their pig, and Mary was beautiful in her brightly colored dress. Hope she didn't get to much blood on it. McGie you are going to have to get a big stick to keep the boys away from that girl, LOL Wabash Puma,,,,
Interestingly enough, the young man who she’s helping in this video…….. is her boyfriend! He’s been approved by her brothers and is definitely a good guy!
Several things going on here……. #1. These are a smaller breed. #2. Pigs are simply not selling right now because of Bidens wonderful economy. #3. No two or three person household can eat 6 big fattening hogs in 3 months #4. Feed costs are going up. Hope this helps!
dag gone it! my question on the first day got deleted. now ur not likely to read it. it was first, will mangelitsa eat black walnuts? i won't ask the 2nd question.
Loved seeing the kids being taught how and where their food comes from. Young Caleb has been taught well Micah. Very skilled for a 9 year old.
I’m very happy that the teaching has taken root and is paying off!!
Thanks for the memories and your time.
You’re welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
So cool your kids getting in there and working on that pig.
I’m very happy to see them getting involved!

Our pleasure! It’s very rewarding to see the youngsters take ahold and enjoy the experience! Born leaders!
That was "EPIC" Thank you for teaching the kiddos skills they are going to need in the upcoming years.

Easy!😂😂😂
What s great observation!!!!!
There's another great country folks video, all I can say is WHERE'S THE LEFTOVERS probably none😂
Probably right about that!😂😂😂
that was cool seeing all the little ones clean the pig but scary seeing all the little people with sharp knives , gotta learn some time
Yes indeed! But they have been using those knives for a couple years now so it wasn’t as scary as you might think.
Going to be some very good eating 👌 kids did a really good job 👏 👍 😊😊😊😊😊
You betcha! They sure did!
I can see the carnivore diet is working Micah. Great team effort on the vid.🔥👍🏻💙

Micah i don't know why RUclips wont show you slaughter the animals and dressing them ,as long as there is a warning on content

Way to go grace and calab an all the rest of u
Thanks!
Just curious as to what happened to Frank, never see him in the videos?
He’s stopped coming over here because his woman wanted him to stay closer to home 😳
It would take 5 hogs that size to make a meal around here 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’ve heard that before 😂😂😂

😂😂😂 You’d have to apply for a position as older brother!😂😂😂
Looks like a lot of love and learning in your family. God bless Utube brother lol
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊
Any particular reason all the hogs were on the small size .

On the note of young men and women, dad always wanted us guys to treat your girlfriend like you wanted the guys to treat your sister.
Absolutely!
Why not scald?
They don’t want the skin and it’s faster.
Hi uncle , I hope you make subtitle on video 😂
What would it say??😂😂😂
@@McGieHomesteadAdventures sometimes i dont understand you say and if you upload subtilte feel will better
Oh ok……. My thought is that you have to turn on the subtitles on your own device…… Check into that.
Normally if you enable the cc (closed caption) it'll show the subtitles but You Tube evidently disabled that option on this video.🫤
Perhaps I missed something.
Why so small? Ru "culling the herd", is it for training the youth, it doesn't appear it was for a pig roast.
