Even tho she has no intentions on leaving the Amish, her acceptance towards her granddaughters, her willing to travel to Florida, and her not only trying on a bathing suit, but actually buying one and wearing it to the beach just for her granddaughters is genuinely amazing!!
I may be set in my ways but I don't care much for the new bikinis or one piece swimsuit that young women wear with the thong or half thong nowadays. I also don't like it that shaving ones pubes should be the normal thing to do.

That's exactly what I thought. From the beginning, she recognized how shy they were and she said that she was trying to get them to break out of their shells, Also, she thought they may need a lot more help and so she was just being overly nice to them as she should have been. And let's not forget there is a camera crew.

@@alexar.h.5031 I respectfully have to agree and disagree. She definitely favored Rosanna and didn’t give much attention to Maureen while shopping. That was definitely not a very good sales person quality however, the whole mom comment I think was good. From my experience in retail, people don’t want to just hear, “Yeah! That looks great!” for everything. People want honesty. Of course it depends the customer. There are some people who just want to hear that they look good but then there are some that are only going to buy things if you’re honest with them and let them know what’s more flattering and what’s less flattering. Y’know?
I felt so sad for Rosanna when she mentioned they got ghosted by those people they met at the sushi restaurant. I hope they both found friends that appreciate them as they are.
Indeed it is sad. But you have to say that the amysh way of life is really special and really the oposit of what "you" and me expect from life. So of course I would talk to them and go in a bar or for a walk. But at the end of the day, we live in sperate worlds. And they are not compatible. Thats the point.
Yeah, ghosting sucks. But at the end of the day hanging out with people for a night out is not the same as being their friend, especially when such important topics as religious beliefs and cultural backgrounds get into the mix

Their grandmother seems to be one of the most genuine, caring women ever, she put her religion aside and stopped her practices to go out and have fun with her two grand daughters and have fun.

This is the true definition of customer service. Claudia went absolutely above and beyond to make this a good experience for them.
Claudia was such a sweetheart! She really knows how to make people feel comfortable. I hate how they tried to make it seem like a romantic thing was going on and it absolutely was not!

Claudia is so incredibly sweet and supportive. Most people would judge those girls for being Amish and having the traditions they do, but she welcomed them with open arms!!! We should all learn to not judge people by how they look or what their customs are. She just wanted to make them comfortable whilst also helping them get out of their comfort zones. I aspire to be like claudia!!!

Maureen has some insecurity issues. From the jump she seemed like she wasn’t open and was judgy. Also, she wasn’t flirting with Rosanna most of those staring clips seemed edited.
I agree, i can’t begin to imagine the way Amish girls are raised. I’m surprised Roseanna was as open as she was. Maureens attitude towards the whole situation makes me sad because it 100% has to do with the way she was raised.

Of course she has insecurities. They were doing something they would be shunned by their community for, and showing the most skin the ever had in public. This was all new to them. Maureen was open, just had questions and anxiety.
I don’t think she was being judgy she grew up in a religion where a woman showing her body off is disgusting and nasty I grew up in a similar religion… One time when I was a teen I went to church an elder of the church came up behind me and said “that skirt is too tight there are men who go here and you could be tempting them I’m ashamed of you”… I didn’t even grow up Amish I couldn’t imagine the talks that these girls get…

These girls left the amish a while ago. Some of these 'first time' videos are staged, hence the tan lines. But they were raised in the amish community and did leave it.

This show is more of a reenactment of things they've already done. They left the colony awhile ago and have been living "normal" lives for a couple years but are acting like it's the first time so we can see how their experience was for them.

Why would an amish person wear a bikini I don’t wear bikini’s not just because I’m obese well I am but because they are not modest. I got a tankini at belk. It’s very modest I got a 22w top and 20w bottoms the bottoms are like shorts with a skirt over it. They are made small in my opinion so I had to get the biggest top belk had.

All Amish people are allowed to leave at a certain age to experience the world for a bit although probably not highly promoted it is allowed so then when they remain in the coummunity it is by choice and not force! As teenagers they are not bounded by the same rules as the church and ultimately it is there decision if they choose to be apart of the church and community if not they are shunned!

Claudia is just being friendly and trying to make these girls feel as comfortable as possible since it’s their first time ever being in this situation. there’s nothing wrong with her hyping these girls up and trying to make them feel confident about themselves while enjoying life. in my opinion it’s better to have someone so upbeat and ready to help you than to have someone who has no interest in helping you out when you’re clueless shopping.

It's so sad that they were raised to feel ashamed of their body that they cannot take an honest compliment that they can look good while showing skin. They should feel respected, beautiful, and confident in their own bodies, regardless of what they are wearing. This fear in them was placed by someone.
Well I don’t think it’s that at all tbh. The Amish wear clothes this way because of their religion. They’re just not used to it. Amish aren’t supposed converse with non Amish unless it’s business related.
