I tried the dryer sheet to clean of the hard water spots and soap scum. So amazed how well it worked. dampened the sheet and used circular motion, which was like applying a cleaning paste to the glass. followed that with a wet microfiber cloth, which i rinsed and continued to use until all the 'paste' was wiped clean. When i finished, the doors looked brand new again. can't believe it. 3 dry sheets cleaned 2 shower doors beautifully. Thank you so much !! i'll be following you for other great ideas.
I will be doing all of these on my glass shower door. I bought this house, 7-8 years ago, then hubby said bankruptcy so I rented out to people until last year. That saved the house. Before I rented out, I used the vinegar hack but the smell was absolutely HORRIBLE! But used it anyway. It worked well, but not completely. Moved back in last February. House was filthy so was shower. I could not handle the vinegar solution so I just used windex. Nope. So now I will try all the others that you mentioned, just not the vinegar solution. I had just gone into my laundry room and found dryer sheets, that I was going to use for the wasp infestation on my front porch, then I saw this! I will use the dryer sheets also on my shower doors. PLUS I will use the Rain x and the fog x like I have used in the past. Thank you so much for all of these wonderful tips!
I'm installing glass doors on my shower. Thank you so much for this tip!! I also banned bar soap in 1981, lol. Figured no soap - no soap -scum. Used shampoo, this was before body wash😊❤ Rain-X anti fog!!!! Game changer!! You are the best!!!
I just found your channel and really like all your tips. Just tried the dryer sheet in half of one shower door ( I put a little water to it) I used a wet small towel to remove the residual and a dry towel to finish cleaning and it looks amazing!
I also squeegee the fiberglass and wipe down all the chrome on the door frame and faucet. Sometimes I get tired of it but I remind myself I am saving myself a large cleaning job in the future.
I think it's great you're sharing how to reduce the use of the chemicals too! We have a plastic door on a shower and it is just a lost cause...will try some of these tips on it next time and see if it can come back to its former glory!
Great tips! Do try Turtle Wax Ice series products, Seal -n-Shine or spray Wax both great after that glass is cleaned. For monthly use boost try Stoner Invisible Glass with repellant will make the squeegee sliding longer. Tips from my auto detailing experience
I've tried vinegar with water and dish soap, magic eraser, dryer sheets, and even Weiman's glass cooktop cleaner and I still have water spots. I don't yet have the other products you suggested. Do you think they will be more successful? Do you have any idea why I can't get the doors out? I wish I could attach a photo to show you but I don't know how. Thanks in advance for any other suggestions.
One more thing I do for tub and shower... I had spinal surgery a couple of years ago and spine is extremely stiff. So, I bought a clean broom that I scrub the floors with. This broom is ONLY USED on tub and shower floors, nothing else. Another tip for you! But you probably already knew this! 🙃
The steel wool works best, just be sure to rinse very well or else there will be bits that turn into rust specs on the floor when dried. Also, I find the squeegee didn't make any difference in lengthening cleaning intervals. Thanks for the rain X tip, I hope that prolongs cleaning intervals
I just used a little Comet and the abrasive side of a sponge with a little vinegar poured on the sponge, and it worked quickly. I'm not sure if the vinegar is needed. You could try with water. Then you can use the other side of the sponge to wipe it off, then wipe with a damp rag, then Windex, then RainX.
I never thought to try steel wool on the shower but I will next time I clean my bathroom also going to try out the Oxi Clean! I’ve used the scotch brite sponges and I really like them definitely better than magic erasers. 🤩
I used Rain ex on my glass shower doors. I hate to say this but it left a residue of sorts. Didn’t even notice it until I took the doors down to re grout my shower. I struggled to get that stuff off. I used the Rainex that’s for auto glass. Later I noticed they made one for shower glass 😢 I do squeegee my doors. And now I use the bissel pro steamer to clean the tile and glass once a week too. Thanks for the tip on the cleaning paste ! thats a new one for me to try👏🏼👏🏼also the new skotchbrite scrubber - gotta try that one on the pool tile !
Hi Andrea! I’m new to more natural cleaning. Can dawn and vinegar be used as a multipurpose cleaner on everything? Im terrified to accidentally mix chemicals like this with a hydrogen peroxide cleaner I have and want to stick with one. Thanks!!
Thanks for the tip I appreciate it I am going to use this in my bathroom I'll try anything that will be easier to clean my bathroom 🙂!!!!! HAVE A BLESS DAY TO YOU ALL ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️!!!!! Until your next video 💖🥰!!!
Crud. I've tried every one of those cleaning methods and none of the hazey spots are gone. This is San Francisco Hetch Hetchy water. Super hard and very mineraly.
Your video is RIGHT ON TIME!🤩 I was just looking at the hard water spots on my glass shower doors. I’ve been dreading cleaning them because I KNOW they’re going to get messed up right away.🫣 Thank YOU so much!!🙏🏾💃🏽🧼
Do you use any cleanser with the steel wool 0000 or just wet it? I used it with the bar keepers friend soft cleanser and it sctatched the glass shower door.
When we put in a new shower we got rid of the glass doors.. mainly Because they were so hard to keep clean... But I'm definitely going to pass on some of these tricks...👍😁👍😁🤗🤗🤗
i tried this on my shower glass wall that had years of hard water stain, and unfortunately this did not work even after several attempts. tried it by itself, tried it with vinegar/dawn mixture. what did work eventually is a product called DRIVEN, a glass automotive cleaner designed for stubborn water spots...still took about 3 tries (with a soft sponge as directed).
Thank you! I’ve tried every product to get my glass shower enclosure clean and nothing ever worked. The Scrub Daddy PowerPaste did the trick. My shower glass is now crystal clean 😊
Out of everything on the Internet…. Dry Sheets! I mean seriously, I was lmao. That was until I walked my happy butt to the laundry room and grabbed a few and went to work. 🤯 This is nuts!! Thank you Andrea ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I saw a tub of cleaning paste at Dollar Tree yesterday. No brand, just says Multi-Purpose Cleaning Paste. On the bottom it says "Manufactured for Rejoice International Corp." Anyone tried that?
The vinegar and dawn doesn’t work. I have a severe case. So this is not an option unfortunately. I even used extremely fine steel wool. It works but extremely slow rub.
Cleaning shower doors, walls, and grout is trivial. What’s truly vile and impossible to clean is the black biological sludge that builds up in the bottom tracks themselves. Not even QTips with cleaning products will dislodge it all. After a few years struggling with it, I removed the entire door and track system. Problem solved. Too, vinegar will destroy metal surfaces, and should not be left on them for long.
I used double strength (10%) cleaning vinegar, a magic eraser & the steel wool & nothing is getting the spots off my shower glass. 😫 Just moved into this house, I guess the previous owners didn’t do much to maintain this. 😩
Funny... none of these shower glass videos every actually show a heavy stained glass door. They're always fairly clean to start. But I'll give these tips a try. I won't hold my breath though.
Did you mean that you should choose just ONE of these cleaning methods to do just once, or that you literally want us to do every single one sequentially?
You think our water is polluted from this and not the companies that dump their waste in rivers, lakes, etc or the mass amount of plastic that isn't being recycled?
@@AndreaJean we're all part of this fluid world. It takes many drops to make an ocean and we all contribute one way or another. So yes, I think the products we use in our homes contribute to pollution along with large companies' wrongdoings (often propelled by the very products we use). PS: recycling is a propaganda to switch the burden to the afterlife of products rather than their very existence. ;)

I just tried the dryer sheets the other day along with other cleaners, by far the dryer sheets are the best! So many cleaning hacks with dryer sheets!
sheets dont work

No I have a good woman
Bar keepers friend will remove orange and green water stains. Its miraculous. Make a paste, apply, let sit 15 min and then wash off.
I don't have shower doors, but I use dawn and baking soda on tile and tub. Works great and no harsh chemicals.
I just found your channel and really like all your tips. Just tried the dryer sheet in half of one shower door ( I put a little water to it) I used a wet small towel to remove the residual and a dry towel to finish cleaning and it looks amazing!
Wonderful!
I use a hand squeegee on the door glass after EVERY shower. Haven't had to scrub the glass in years!😁
❤️❤️❤️
I also squeegee the fiberglass and wipe down all the chrome on the door frame and faucet. Sometimes I get tired of it but I remind myself I am saving myself a large cleaning job in the future.
I have a new shower and same
....I get cold cleaning the whole thing after my shower when still wet but want to start out right so here for some tips
I’m too uncoordinated to do it right 😂
That does not work
I think it's great you're sharing how to reduce the use of the chemicals too! We have a plastic door on a shower and it is just a lost cause...will try some of these tips on it next time and see if it can come back to its former glory!

Cleaning the door track and getting the pink “yuck” off of the grout are my two favorite tips! Thanks for the video Andrea!❤
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you. I can never get my shower doors properly clean. I'm going to implement your tips and see if I could finally get it sparkling clean
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for sharing those tips. Had a really disgusting tub your cleaning solution was A life saver.
Glad it helped!
I use Lime Away for my glass shower doors. I ❤ it.
I use dawn dish soap, for stains, when I wash clothes. & I use dawn dish soap, when I clean the toilet.
Great tips! Do try Turtle Wax Ice series products, Seal -n-Shine or spray Wax both great after that glass is cleaned. For monthly use boost try Stoner Invisible Glass with repellant will make the squeegee sliding longer. Tips from my auto detailing experience

Hi, what product do you use with the broom. I too have back problems and I
Like to try your tip. Thank you.

It doesn’t scratch the glass?
@nathannorton9640 not at all! Mind you, soap and or water is being used together. I had to have it done to my corvette once due to overspray.
So pleased with your hacks, you have a fan!
❤️❤️

Very nice tips thanks
If you have one day worth of film dryer sheets work. If you have actual build up use a razor blade scraper. Works great!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great tips! But, how do you clean the area where the glass doors overlap?
That's my problem
I just remove the door and place it on a towel making sure it's not going to slide while I clean it. Makes it easier to clean the tracks too.
I slide the right door to the left and the left to the right. Don’t close completely because you’ll need to clean each end. I hope I make sense 🤷♀️
Do you have any advice on how to clean/restore a plexiglass shower door?
I use my squeegee after every shower works perfectly . 😊
I never thought to try steel wool on the shower but I will next time I clean my bathroom also going to try out the Oxi Clean! I’ve used the scotch brite sponges and I really like them definitely better than magic erasers. 🤩

Please do a video on travertine.😢😢😢
How often do you use the anti fog? And how do you clean the glass (like a week or so later)? Do you use windex and anti fog again?
Should the dryer sheets be moistened first?
Yes 👍
You're my hero!
❤️❤️
Thank you for this video, super helpful. ❤

I always wondered if the rain x could work on shower doors. I will try it.😀
Thank you Andrea! 😊👍
Should you wet the dryer sheet before using?
Yes 👍
HI Andrea, how do you clean your shower curtain? Love your videos! ❤
Dawn and vinegar 👍 or rubbing alcohol 🎉 thanks!

Which is the best water spot remover for glass?😮😮😮
An eraser 👍👍👍
How do you remove mold from trim caulk in the shower?
Dryer sheet doesn’t touch hard water deposits! I assume you used it dry?
I do both 👍
Out of everything on the Internet…. Dry Sheets! I mean seriously, I was lmao. That was until I walked my happy butt to the laundry room and grabbed a few and went to work. 🤯 This is nuts!! Thank you Andrea ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Between the power paste and pink stuff for hard water which do you like better???
Pink stuff 👍
I eat a bologna sandwich and play the accordion while I clean the shower with my feet. Thanks for the tips Andrea.
Love that!
Yep... we have REALLY hard water and i just grab an SOS pad to clean the shower door. I then do the track with it after.
I saw a tub of cleaning paste at Dollar Tree yesterday. No brand, just says Multi-Purpose Cleaning Paste. On the bottom it says "Manufactured for Rejoice International Corp." Anyone tried that?
That door is clean
That a lot of work

That’s why I showed you oodles of other options 🥰
Did you wet the dryer sheet? It worked for me👍
how to clean the part of the shower doors that are not easy to get to when they are closed
I thank God that I don't have shower doors!!
They are a pain!! 😩
So do you use a curtain then?
There are too many tips here lol. What do you all like the best?
All the dryer sheet did was make streaks!
Make sure you rinse and wipe down afterwards 👍
I tried all those tricks and non of them work for me!!!
Sorry to hear that…
Did you tried the dryer sheet? You have to wet it with water. It really works.
Did you mean that you should choose just ONE of these cleaning methods to do just once, or that you literally want us to do every single one sequentially?

🔥
Wearing full length jeans for cleaning. Wow!
I use my brothers toothbrush...
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏽❤️
I really need a wife
Lol 😂
No! You just need to learn how to clean or hire a housekeeper 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ridiculous way. 😂
Get a Stanley blade edge razor. 20 min done perfect
Are you married???
