Who’s still manning their own jackhammer in 2024?!?!??
but if course🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤌🏾🤌🏾
In the past 20 years i have been able to hire someone to man my jackhammer for me - However, I still man my own battle station!
Never stopped for almost two decades
Still hammering away
Been on my playlist for 20+ years, also my favorite song to play on guitar.
2024 still not tired of this song
Still manning it in 2024
Hell ya brother
Yes
Brother
MAN YOUR OWN.
Who’s still manning their own jackhammer in 2020?
Most just jack their own manhammer these days.
its true!
@Jeremy Hamrick
Accurate AF
👍
Man your own jackhammer!
Who's still jamming to Coheed in 2021? 🤘🏽
since 06
Riiiight here my man 🤘🖤
I'm not. I just happened on this channel by happenstance.
Amen! CHeck out the guys with Rock Springfield wtf?!?
me
Anytime I’m having a rough day at work I blast this 2-3 times during lunch. Who’s jamming Coheed in 2022!!!!
Meeeeeeeee 😭🫶🏻
Always and forever
2023 and beyond!
Neverender
2023 now :)
15 years later & this live still gives me chills at the age of 30! ♥️
1 year later, still the same...
I'm 58 and I understand : D
And love every goosebump that runs up my neck. Its almost prophetic.
Age wont matter. Im pushing 40 and all these songs from my HS days still get me pumped.
Same! One of the best songs
Who’s back because of The Charismatic Voice?
Just found this band wow I missed out on this greatest.
Happy that charismatic voice has brought so many here. Coheed is love, Coheed is life
Without question the most under appreciated, neglected band in history...350k views is tragic for this masterpiece.
nick zedreck you’re definitely right!
I only found them last year. I’ve listened to all their stuff and I can’t think of a bad song. Also they are amazing unplugged to. Some epic tunes . 👍
No it's not bands like this need to stay they way they or or they will sell out....just support them by going to shows and actually buying their stuff.....can u imagine if they played this on radio everyday and lil white girls blasting this in their gold cabriolet? No because I would never want that for CC
@@redpantiesnight9423 theyve had plenty of radio play dude. devil in jersey city, blood red summer, a favor house Atlantic, welcome home, the suffering, here we are juggernaut. All these songs have been on the radio.
Hello. I come from the future. As of 5-1-2020 it has 476k views. We still have work to do, my friend.
in my opinion this is one of the best songs of the band
ToR I very much so enjoy every bit they've produced but I'm quite partial to this song.
#1 Song ever written by them for sure. Delerium Trigger #2. Everything else #3.
Agreed
Listen to the new Album - 2019
@@Smogytho New album is some of their best work, it's just so precise. And I love everything this bands done. For me my favorites are In Keeping Secrets, Unheavenly Creatures, SSTB, and Afterman.
In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 is still 20 years later one of the best albums to come out of this century, what a masterwork.
Absolutely. Unmatched in this kind of thing.
Absolutely in every sense of the word. A timeless ocean of gems that never stops giving :)
I love how everyone in the audience screamed 'MAN YOUR OWN JACKHAMMER!' at the same time. I love the unity!
+Zephilia S
They still do that. I've seen them three times in the last six months and the audience still does that.
Zephilia S yep! Lights flicker and everyone screams it. My favorite song live!!!
Yup just last month in Tempe. At least 800 crazies going absolutely nuts.
I'm aware this post is over a year old, but I watched this just now and I believe at that moment most of the people in that crowd would have followed Claudio into battle without knowing who they were fighting or why. You either love Coheed or you've never really listened to them.
dude, I saw them earlier this year on their Good Apollo tour and they played this during the encore..
The crowd screamed "MAN YOUR OWN JACKHAMMER" so fucking loud I thought the building was gonna collapse, seeing this song/band live legitimately changed my life lol
If I had a time machine, this would be my first stop.
Jesus Christ, this gives me chills.
2019 and still im on battle stations...
As am I, fellow Child of the Fence.
It's almost 2020 and I'm still manning my own jackhammer.
MAN YOUR BATTLE STATIONS
And still WAITING for IMPACT..
PRETTY SOON
Always on my battle station.
The greatest live song ever played. Even after listening to it thousands of times over the past 12 years, I still get goosebumps at the beginning guitar riff
I’m 42 got the angst of a teenager still when I watch this. So hyped when the intro restarts near the end that guy flies in the air the crowd chanting this gives me chills this performance
This brings me back to my freshman year at college in 2004. This ballad just hits something deep.
Amen, I was at Towson University, close enough to Newark/Richmond/Philly/Baltimore/Jersey City I was at a show every week somewhere
I can’t believe how good these live vocals are.
this is after their tour in the uk if i remember correct
Claudio’s acid reflux was severely acting up, and kind of gave an interesting vocal quality; this show’s version of Delirium Trigger is my favorite version
It still blows my mind that Claudio can sing and play this song at the same time. I can barely do either individually...
They don't play it this fast anymore lol
@@anthonyjones3835older ya get slower ya move 😅
I feel like I’ve been part of a cult since I started listening to coheed in the 7th grade
Its the cult of the children of the fence.
@6:42 the dude with the fro in the crowd made history. so epic lol
Lol that guy with the fro can be the posterboy for all concerts
NEVER. GETS. OLD.
You know that a band has a dedicated cult following when you see the audience singing along word for word. They have embraced the narrative, are totally invested in the experience, the band knows this and embraces that fact. When the audience IS THE CHORUS (6:20) it will send chills down your spine.
There's NOTHING like a live Coheed show. nothing like screaming "MAN YOUR OWN JACKHAMMER!" with hundreds/thousands of other fans that feel them the way I do. They're so underrated/underplayed as far as mainstream goes, but i think maybe they like iut that way. Such an amazing and special fan base.
Cult followings for bands or movies are always better than the mainstream entertainment media
At 37 years old I am going to my first Coheed concert in August and I literally cant wait for this, this is my dream to see this live
There is nothing better than a Coheed show. The energy is unmatched.
This is gonna be the perfect battle scene song when the armory wars finally gets made into a movie.
I’m so lucky my stepdad introduced me to this band, they’re my absolute favorite and even though I’m 18 I get nostalgic for when I first heard their music
oh man bless. This was my shit in High School. Your stepdad sounds cool :)
This has got to be one of the best live rock performances of all time.
They have always been such a force. I hope I can find the time to see them again. When they hit these classics it's truly like nothing i've ever seen before.
Best recorded version I can find anywhere, same with Time Consumer from this same concert. Both songs really showcase what I like about the band the most.
My daughter's 1st concert was Coheed in 2018 and she still talks about it . She has been one among the fence since the womb in 2004. She is 16 now and is dying to see them again! I love Coheed so much. Bad day? Coheed Good day Coheed every day Coheed! 🥰😍
My 17 yr old son was also been one amongst the fence since 04 as well🤘
I love this band so much. If I could only listen to one band for the rest of my life, it would be Coheed, no doubt.
Saw them for the first time last night only having known a few songs. I liked what I heard, but they made me a huge fan last night. Especially because of this song, so many chills throughout and the singalongs were unreal.
Glad to hear that. They are ridiculously good.
This should have millions of likes, this performance is beyond impressive, the stamina the concentration the perfect execution it's crazy 😍
Jesus, this concert is epic. They were absolutely sending it that night.
God life was so much simpler back then. What a fucking time to be alive!!!!! Love these guys!
6:43 My friends and I used to refer to this exact moment on the DVD as, "Jesus Christ Coheed". I would have given anything to be there for this show!
Amen!
As a purley hip hop fan... this song gives me chills everytime i hear it fr a masterpiece
Still one of the greatest live performances to date. So powerful.
Nothing grooves harder than this era of Coheed... unmatched.
When I want to be moved by awesome music I come to this. Tears fall everytime.
Dude same. The energy force that hits that room at 6:40 is absolutely incredible. It brings tears to my eyes. I am going to my first Coheed show in August at 37 and I CANT FUCKING WAIT. I have never been more excited concert
man, one day my older brother recorded a favor house atlantic music video on DVR from a FUSE LOADED SESSION and i hated it. it was 2004 and i was 10 going on 11. i was too busy listening to "DEM FRANCHIZE BOYZ" to even take notice how good this was. by 2005-06 this band was all i was listening to and claudio became the reason i ever picked up a guitar. i idolize this man and til this day, 4/9/21 im now 28 years old and i FUCKING LOVE this band. of course theyll always be a band i listened to in highschool but i still bump second stage of turbine on the way to work. this band did a lot for me. thank you claudio and my older brother.
My dear wife, Bobbie. If you ever see this comment...just know on our honeymoon when we saw them and this song was played, I did a great disservice by not ripping that building to its foundation. I love you.
This song and that performance are like explosions in my head.
Just found out about these dudes a day ago and holy fuck these guys are so underrated
Highly underrated. Best consistent rock band of 21st century.
I’ve only heard the album version till now. Didn’t realize this kicks so much ass live. Holy shit
They’re always faster and heavier live , and it’s great
They are amazing live
15 years later and this song still gives me chills
Is it generally agreed upon that this is and will always be the greatest Coheed song ever written?
If only Gravity’s Union, Key Entity Extraction I, and Mother Superior didn’t exist. I definitely left out some songs, this band has too many 10/10’s
@@notever8401 I would throw The Dark Sentencer in the ring as well.
Edit: the longer I think the harder it is to avoid adding more songs. I love way too much of their catalog.
Ummm, the Crowing? Too many epic tunes from these guys...
@@celtsfan9437 The Crowing 100%
For me it’s Time Consumer without question.
Wasn’t a fan of CC till I stumbled across this song. I literally listen to it 5 times a day for the past month now. Powerful stuff.
Very underappreciated band
One of the best bands out there
this is probably the only band that can give me chills over and over watching live videos. wish I was there :(
Same
Vaxis II just came out today but I always think about the old Coheed. Such a classic
I'm 38. The bassist is wearing a The Darkness shirt. It just shows the era that I loved and the music that was both talent and exceptional.
Claudio brings so much energy to the stage. One of the best shows I've ever been to 🤘🏽🔥
Bass player really hits those strings good stuff
The song and live performance that made me realize that these guys are incredible. I wrote these dudes off just on their name, then a bro played this song and I realized I was a fool. Then I watched this live video and saw that these intricate riffs were being played while singing incredibly intricate vocals and I was hooked. It wasn't much later that I realized that this may be the most complete band I have ever heard. Perhaps the best band in history and I've heard it all.
I’ve seen Coheed so many times and it’s never enough! Covid really messed up all the concerts. Top 3 bands to see live, are: Korn, Coheed and Cambria and Deftones.
These guys are like a post glam rock post hardcore post emo metal band. It’s awesome
We call it metal/core progressif.
this song reminds me of my old friend who pass away 9 years ago.. we both love this song.. this song of coheed and cambria reminds me a lots of memory with my beloved friend,my brother.. rest in peace glenn paul kit elmido...
Their best song in my opinion. Love it. Always have. It’s a ballad for life.
I really gotta see these guys live.... it’s killin me I haven’t STILL!!!
Moníca Calderon saw them in 2008 with original avenged sevenfold and this just brought tears to my nostalgic eyes. Do it!!!!
They’re going on tour and I definitely plan on seeing them!
Man do it before its to late amazing experience the unity will give you goosebumps for life.
Yes!! I'll be seeing them September 23rd in Asheville at the Orange Peel. They are PHENOMENAL Live..and just as good as recorded in disc!!!
They always put on a helluva show: I hope you get to see them soon!
This album was the first one that I ever heard from Coheed and Cambria. My friend gave me a copy because he really liked it. I was into it right away and probably listened to it more than 100 times. Since then I have seen 12 shows and purchased every album. I love this shit!
Who’s still head banging to these guys songs in 2022
This is as on-point and DEFINITELY more intense than the album recording. I'm still here in 2021.
I cannot explain what this song means to me... my most prized song to learn to play.
2020 and I'm still on battle stations...
They have so many amazing songs, but dare I say this is my favorite..,. especially live...
I remember when concerts were full of energy like this. It was so much fun. Concerts are so lame nowadays to to the point where I dont even go to them anymore. Dead crowd, a bunch of zombie watching the concert thru their phones.
I love how at 6:40 you can actually see the burst of energy hit the crowd. It gives me chills and brings tears to my eyes every single time
For some reason I was feeling nostalgic and searched this out today...still a pretty cool track
Thought I could play this before going to bed..
5 hours later still watching Coheed videos
The Crowing story of my life
Chills… get to see them in a few months live and cannot wait.
Let's give the drummer props for holding that intro together.
A classic! One of my favorites and it’s a timeless song ... just the energy is undescribable
This song sounds even better with that sweet, audible bass.
the intensity of them playing this is unreal and a sight to behold!!!
Every time I hear this song, it's a pleasant reminder that it exists and I feel compelled to listen to it 5 or so times before I'm okay moving on.
Everything about this song, this performance, watching this video, makes me feel like I can live forever.
So much energy oh my god! I would have loved to seen this live. I bet nobody has ever forgotten this moment.
I have seen maybe 500 bands since 2003 when I first saw them live. That was 21 yrs ago and it has not been topped. I remember the sweaty, beautiful ecstasy of listening in their prime.
Dude, I listened to Richard on the Stern Show talk about them for years - no idea why I didn't check them out immediately. The millisecond I heard them - hooked for life. God, these guys are amazing on EVERY level. I don't see them as prog - I see them as fucking great.
Their sound will be timeless.
I remember accidentally buying this, back in 2006. I thought it was the In Keeping Secrets album. Don’t judge me, I was only 9!
I was not disappointed. It came with like.. 4 music videos AND behind the scenes! Along with the concert, of course.
I ended up getting the actual In Keeping Secrets shortly after.
this performance is so iconic, and the performance that first got me into Coheed. changed my life. went out that day and bought IKSOSE 3 & second stage on CD and became a fan for life. his voice here is amazing, those high notes. my god.
damn this is one of the best live audio recordings I've seen on RUclips, no noise distortion or static. The engine for video was on point.
The dude @7:14......you have all of our respect ✊🏼
NOW WE'RE COMING HOME!!!!! ahh best part
Crazy to think this was 10 years ago.
DomSchu way to make me feel old....
+DomSchu Mic with his long hair, Claudio with his lip piercings. =DDD
+DomSchu 10 years ago? I thought it was 12 years ago since it was recorded in 2003.
+DomSchu It's also crazy to see the singer is black. This whole time, I thought he was white. XD
Not trying to be racist.
+Alphonse The Uprising hes not black. he's puerto rican and italian mix. i believe
I saw them in Toronto for the IKSOSE3 tour. I'll never forget that night, it's the best birthday present I've ever received.
It's weird hearing Claudio actually sing "Man your own jackhammer" and not leaving it to the crowd
This has to be one of their best songs of all time!
This is my absolute favorite band. I hate to see what some of them went through. Zach Cooper is a great bass player but these 4 dude ARE Coheed at its best.
Steven Baldwin I know this is 2 years too late😑 but as I was reading the comments I was just thinking man poor dude was and still is an amazing Bassist! But like millions of other people he was trying to suffice the monkey on his back! For him to do that he was clearly just suffering wanting to tear his skin off from severe withdrawals! and now, most cats are like what a POS junky!??! Its fuckin sad really! I hope some day he returns but that's just my opinion
I found a band im going to listen to like crazy.
How was the journey?
eh, I'm still on the fence about it - hah, couldn't resist lol
Iruparazzo LMAO
Mic is the reason i picked up bass back in the day and i still use spector basses
Holy shit, seeing this for the first time in 2021. God, I miss concerts.
OH GOOD! I thought this video was gone from youtube permanently. It is hands down my favorite performance from Coheed and Cambria ever.
rayjinflo I even remember the name of the uploader (songsofshipwreck or something like that). Was going to show this jewell once to a friend of mine and it was removed. Wish it was easier for me to get a physical copy cause this Starland Ballroom DVD has to be the greatest thing caught on tape EVER
theres a live at the starland ballroom complete dvd...
First time I saw them live I almost passed out singing along to this one
PH covid quarantine leads me here
Its so sad that it only has 200k views, this is for sure one of the biggest hidden gems in music history.
Jack your own ManHammer!
The end of this is super powerful and moving live.
You know it's old when Mic and Josh are playing together
You know its GOOD when Mic and Josh are playing together. The band was the best when they were together. I stopped listening when Chris took over. Never really sounded like them after that. At least Josh is back now.
@@johnbrueggeman2237 coheed is great now, i agree i didnt like chris BUT zach cooper is fucking amazing, the afterman and unheavenly creatures are amazing albums. Color before the sun is a great album as well, but maybe a bit different since it isnt from the concept. But coheed still sounds amazing as ever, i would argue that they sound better
@@johnbrueggeman2237 except Chris is waaaaay better lol. Josh was solid when he wasn't fucked up. Even in this video he's playing the song too fast
Never was a big coheed fan but this song floods my face. Its so good! When he says man your " jack hammer!" It starts. The music is great. Makes me feel ready for war!
This is when you want to let loose!❤
