Do you think you order it directly from Skoda/ Vw/Audi parts? Or they don’t sell just valve it self. I will need new one for moju oktaviu, but don’t have partnumber of compressor. Yet. But it seems like they all are pxe14,pxe16, I may be wrong.

If the comprossor won't start at all, changing the valve will not solve the problem.

What are the symptoms for bad valve? My compressor seems to working fine, but pressure on low side does not drop when I switch AC on, and no cool air inside. Could it be valve issue?
Yes could be...also you can folow on vcds the current on the valve, if it is around 0.820 amps and never drops...the valve is the problem...

Probably not. But you can check what model of compresor do you have, after that you will see what type of valve you need.

Salut. am in descriere simptomele. Am depistat cu ajutorul VCDS in grupul Advanced Measuring Values ai compressor current - specified value si actual value, indiferent de temperatura setata valoarea era 0,820 A, aceasta valoare este maximul si ea trebuie sa scada cand alegi o temperatura mai mare, daca nu scade si ramane in 0,820 indiferent de temperatura setata -> electrovalva defecta.

I have a Delphi CVC125 compressor with a mechanical valve and i had to replace it too. The spare valve looked very different too (differently sized passages, "bump" under the colored end, the internal bellows looked different, the filter element looked different) and the valve was really marketed for a V5 compressor. Matched the color (old valve had a blue tip, new one had a blue tip too). After about two months it's working perfectly, silent, cold and never froze the evaporator up. UAC EX 10458C

Hi, I bought the solenoid that you suggested however when I removed the old one I noticed that the compressor number on my car was in fact 5Q0 820 803E ?? As opposed to 803C that I first thought. Is that the reason why the solenoid I bought looks slightly different to the one I removed ?? It If it’s not suitable for my car can you advise on which solenoid I need ? Many thanks
@@alanmorris7438 You can try also with the valve that you order if it fits in the place(be careful when you fix it is hard to find the correct position) it will work.

I have tried but the body of the valve is approx 2/8 inch wider so I’ll try get a PXE14 which is what I need . It’s slightly different to the More popular PXE16 it seems , thanks for your help anyway ,
I am trying to source one from elsewhere as shipping from Aliexpress to the UK will be ages . A firm called rkxtech.com sell the correct one and this is a paragraph off the listing for the correct one for my car
This valve looks very similar to the extremely popular PXE 16 valve.
Please note the square tab on the back of this valve vs the rounded rectangular valve of the PXE16
so I presume I need the PXE14

Tried changing the valve and unfortunately my mechanic advised to replace entire compressor as it not function efficiently after the valve change.

In principiu nu ai ce sa strici, scoti supapa veche si o introduci pe cea noua, dar mare atentie cand introduci supapa noua sa nu o fortezi cu alte scule (trebuie centrata si va intra doar apasand cu mana).

How about General symptoms what are the general symptoms of a bad valve? I'm working on a Kia Optima which I suspect has a bad valve. What I'm getting is AC that works a lot of times but sometimes it just doesn't work. Also what I'm getting is high pressure on the low side and warmer out of events at idle RPMs however when I raised the RPM to 2,500 I get colder out of the fence and at high pressure reading on the low side drops a little bit
@@macknumber9 Yes , when you increase temperature the current should go down. I put in the description some of this symptoms. What you describe seems to be a problem with this valve.
