I have the same issue right now with my Mercedes. I think it’s my control valve as well. Compressor isn’t kicking on and before it went out, the AC was fluctuating from getting cold and warm. Checked Freon level and levels seemed good. At one point readings on the low jumped to 60.
It's not that expensive if you can do it yourself. This one fixed it 100%
in my passat the valve stuck in open position so the aircon is continuously on
Other videos I have seen, the solenoid can be replaved WITHOUT removing the AC compressor. It is car specific - some models do not have enough room to get the tools onto the snap ring.
Have a look at the video around the 7 min mark. Valve was stuck solid. Here is the solution ruclips.net/video/1t4Eb9urPnM/видео.html
Good work.
How do I know my valve is faulty?
After filling refrigerant it worked but after some time it stopped.
I noticed a disc that turns the motor was bad.
After changing still not working
Read it with a computer as I explained in the first 2 3 minutes.
Sounds like you have a freon leak
The solenoid is held in place with a snap ring, it won't just "pop" out
As I say around 4:40 mark.
I also want to ask this, is it possible to remove the solenoid without draining the system? Because I just serviced the air conditioner today but it still doesn't cool and now I don't want it all to go up in the air and have to pay again. Thanks 🙌
No
whatever happened to the bench test?
Anytime I fill my VW Passat 1999 AC, the gas usually don't last more than 24 hours.
My Compressor is okay and not leaking,
My Heater Core is Okay as well,
None of my pipe is damages
I think my condenser is okay as well. Please what do you think might be wrong?
I have a few videos looking for a a/c leak. Most of the time is condenser or orings of it.
You have a leak somewhere in the AC system. I have had some success with "Stop Leak" products but typically O-rings or the compressor / fittings need to be replaced.
Hi man, to change the solenoid should I lake off the gas first?
Yes. Definitely
My solenoid is stuck too , i don’t know what to do
Just do what I did in the video
"Did your fans work before the solenoid change? Thank you!"
They did, when there was pressure in the system
@@MeFixingEverything Maybe you know why mine is not working, but with diagnostics I can make them run. There's no faults in the system..
What’s the name of solenoid
PXE 16

Thank you for the video, will this work on the Seat Ibiza 6l?
It's a 1.9 Tdi. Many of the parts are the same as the Polo 9n
Should work fine.
