This owner clearly knows how to train a large dog. This breed untrained can easily badly injure or kill people. He has obviously socialised and trained this dog from a young age and is an example to others who are thinking of owning this type of powerful breed. Lovely animal 👌👍
If one doesn't live in a place with wolves and/or bears and is an animal farmer then there is no need and use for having such a breed.

"This dog can kill wolves and fend off bears. Quite dangerous"
Me: Cool... Can I pet him tho?
Eggsquisitely Dank LAMO that’s me!
This dog can kill little wolves. Against one big russian wolf you need 2-3 of this dogs.
@power European wolves are small up to 50 kg, Russian up to 80-90 kg, there are also larger sizes. They have a stronger bite force than any dog, they are more agile and stronger.
@power perhaps the kangal's bite is a little stronger, but certainly not 3 times, the bite force cannot be measured with 100% accuracy. I know all these breeds of dogs, not one of them has no chance against the big, russian gray wolf. Even the farmers speak of one big wolf, you need it like a mine. 2-3 dogs (Alabai) and this is the strongest dog on the planet.
@power where in Europe have you seen 80 kg wolves ???? 40kg no more, 50kg is very rare.

I live in Georgia where this guys are bred , I had one of these , I called him batura, pretty normal name in our country , well when I was young my parents took our Caucasian shepherd to the mountains in the monastery where there are sheeps. After a year I hear some news about my dog and I was so surprised what happened to him , so the story is this that while my dog was patrolling the territory two wolves came out and started to attack the sheep. This giant of a dog started fighting them off and actually won killing one of them and wounding the other one which eventually bled to death. For some time I couldn't actually believe that batura did it but the owner actually came down to us and again said the same thing the guy that told me the story, these guys are beasts which can go head on against wolves

Always walked out in front of us, but always looked backed to make sure we were still there. This wasn’t even our dog. We didn’t even know who owned the dog, but he watched us like a military trained dog, which we found out he wasn’t. I have for dogs now, but if I were to get a new dog, I would seriously consider this breed because they are are very people oriented, protective and if you have crops or land, they will help you out.
Dogs are the most loyal, a dog will die for their loved one's no matter what.
Fun fact: If you die, after days, your dog will eat your flesh and your cat will eat later.
@@ReyneAutumn fun fact that because the dog and cat can see your soul, they know that you are gone after you die. Then that's the last meal you will be able to give them, the only time they eat you is when they are trapped and that's all they have to survive. Humans will do the same thing.
@@rodneyarmstrong3813 i don't think that's how it works because there's no definite proof that souls or spirits or corporeal things exist. There's a scientific explanation behind it. Hi. Get ready for the ultimate dog!
I pray that the breeder you are getting him from will be willing and able to guide you along the way. If I did not have that when I got my first one, things would have been bad (and I was an experienced dog trainer at the time). There is no book or internet research that can prepare you for this breed!
I have had the privilege of owning three of these majestic Marvel's. And to say that I love this breed is a gross understatement!
If there is anything you need to know, please do not hesitate to ask me.

Do they need AC to live??? Our climate is 33 °
Just don't get one unless you're very experienced and know absolutely everything about the breed and what you need to do to get it properly trained. It's incredibly taxing. You need to live in a good place preferably house with big lawn etc...
Its been two weeks did you get it now?
My father has a rescue, white caucasian shepherd (called bear) weighing in at 82kgs and he's not quite done growing yet. He was imported from Russia then abandoned at a kennel by a moron owner who didn't want such a large dog anymore, my father made a delivery to the kennel and met him then decided to rescue him after owning Leonbergers before and already having an american and German shepherd. Do NOT get one of these dogs if you live in a small space or have no previous experience, they are absolute units and in the wrong hands, lethal. They are very intelligent dogs and need exercise and mental stimulation. Despite their background, he's a gentle giant (it's always how they are raised) and happily lets my 2 year old nephew clamber all over him and plays football with my 6 year old nephew, always aware of his size. The only time he's not cuddly is people entering my fathers home, rightly so, if invited in like Maximus, he'll happily let you in but will be watching!

Here in georgia, we pet them as homeguard dogs. they're quite common. in old centuries we used them as sheep flock guards. Would you recommend this breed for a single woman?
We have a farm in the uk we had 2 Caucasians that we did everything research told us to do. They were absolutely fantastic with livestock ,they ran free with stock until about being 18 months old where unfortunately we had to retire them and bring them in the house as pets due to the risk of people being where they shouldn't be. Absolutely not the dogs fault but you've got to understand 2 dogs weighing 12 stone + doing what there bread to do isn't great around unknown people. They were fantastic with known people but ours weren't 100% safe around unfamiliar people that shouldn't be there ,not the dogs fault but getting a nip of a colly is totally diffrent from these ..... lovely dogs don't regret having them but won't get another. We had 2 dog trainers that both said socialising is what was required and preceeded in training . Long story short in our experience its irrelevant how socialised they are if there around livestock they protect from everything including people. Luckily no harm was done. Can't reinforce how lovely these 2 dogs were with family and livestock but unless your in the middle of no where then please just understand what your getting into. Oh and by the way ours didn't take kindly to other breeds even though they were just pups when introduced. Both sadly are passed away now RIP oz and milly x

Maximus: *I'm about to end this man's whole career.*
Burglar enters house........
Max: “so you have chosen death?”
"Dont worry the dog is small and doesnt bite"
The Dog:
gorg floyt no breth
I would call him something like dinky because it's a synonym for small
I would have named him either Biggie Smalls, or just Bob if I wanted to hoodwink people.
Good name since he’s called George and he originated from Georgia 🇬🇪
As (not disclosed) son of George, son of George, son of George, I adore this idea.
I would’ve called him Obama
*robber breaks into house*
Maximus: *WHO DARES AWAKING ME FROM MY SLUMBER? THY SHALL PERISH, MORTAL, VOW BEFORE ME, YOUR GOD*
Omg you’re so funny haha
😂😂

I would never have any other breed!the most amazing loyal loving dogs you'll ever come across ❤️ I love my two furries
I fell in love with a Caucasian shepherd when I read an article about large dog breeds and that's how I found this channel.
I do not know what to do with small dogs, maybe I'm a very rural girl HAHA
Anyway, I started to study about the breed but I want a dog only in a few years from now when I can dedicate myself and have a bigger space for the animal. I don't like dogs "trapped" inside the house, so a nice size backyard would be nice. I had a German shepherd, Emma, she died a few years ago but was such a loving dog maybe a space for a Caucasian and a German shepherd together!
Same here! My boy Franky is half Caucasian Shepherd. He is a great dog. 🐕
I'm in love with the beauty of these dogs,I love dogs but I have never heard of one of these gorgeous creatures,I've learned more about dogs and breeds in your videos than anywhere else.keep it up brilliant content x
Another great video. Thank you Anneka and thank you to Maximus and his owner. The Caucasian Shepherd/Ovcharka is a really amazing animal. I don't know if you've ever seen the RUclips video showing these dogs being used by Russian prisons but it is amazing. Wonderful Maximus is fantastic but some of those dogs are mind boggling. Even with their great size they do amazing work and you get to see just how fierce they can be. I am always cautious when people call dogs "wolf killers", especially when most of these dogs are being compared to European wolves and not North American Grey Wolves. Of course, no dog can actually take on an adult bear in a real fight but these dogs, along with Kangals and a few other breeds are outstanding deterrents and they do a fine job against European wolves. Their bravery, work ethic and dedication are legendary and respected worldwide.
Those caucasian shepherds are very beautiful. Long time ago We had Many. Now only one. ❤️
i dont know but im smiling from the start of the videos because of the cuteness 😂😂😂
Gotta love that the biggest, fluffiest dogs tend to be the most friendly and gentle, if totally unaware of their size
These dogs are beautiful and so fluffy yet can be vicious and protective
Excellent socialisation by the owner.
This dog is awesome. I’d love to meet him, especially since he’s socialized and with his owner.
He swallowed that chicken drumstick as if it was a tiny treat 😊
Hm? I wanna laugh but ive seen this comment 3 times already lol
Oops wrong commdnt lol clicked reply on wrong one
Funny :)
It was impressive how well behaved he was esp, around the children.
Thumbnail: Makes the dog look SUPER big
Me after I click on the video: WOW THATS STILL SUPER BIG WHAT THE HECK!
I had a caucasian ovcharka female. The cutest little ball of attitude that would boss around our 120lb Alaskan Malamute when she was just a baby. They are truly beautiful dogs. But they do have issues with hip dysplasia. Ours unfortunately died cause of it. Gorgeous dogs!
These are such amazing dogs. What a friendly giant!
This dog Max has been incredibly well socialized and also has a great temperament. Don't be fooled... this breed can be incredibly dangerous and is very independent and stubborn.
@Kim Barack This breed is not a Golden Retriever and is not for first time dog owners, or for people who don't have thr emotional and physical strength to conttol them.
Yours is the best dog channel on YT
Thankyou 🙏
This is really good.
But sherpa tho
@@Animal-Watch I don't advise Maximus taking on a Grizzly Bear though. He is a beautiful dog, but he will lose that battle with a full grown Grizzly.
Beautiful dog, saw them in Tbilisi Georgia. Impressive Maximus!
What an incredible beautiful and gentle Dog. :D
Wow it’s been 2 years. This specimen is so astonishing. I envy his owner. Awesome companion. Keep up the awesome content. I love the wolves you’ve covered.
American here, had to look up 80 kilos in pounds and that dog literally weighs as much as I do, actually a few pounds more. Yeesh. A big floofy boi
That dog is exactly my weight XD
Imperial system ftw
Lol same... I was like holy crap 😳
They can reach 100kg-220lbs!
Love the Runescape music in the background! LOL
Stunning. And so is the dog.
Her hands next to his paws..... LoL!! My mother use to say, ""If you wanna know how big a puppy will get. Just look at his paws!""
If you could only name and shame the people that put a thumbs down, after having three working line German Shepherds in my life; so far. The temperament of Maximus is a huge credit to the owners dedication, bravo.
you wanna dox and publicly shame people who disagree with you because you had 3 german shepherds? o.O
