Anette will always be a part of the Nightwish magic. I appreciate her, I really like Imaginaerum and Dark Passion Play. For me, there is simply no point to compare between band members. I look at Nightwish as one entity and grateful for all the magic they have shared.
I could not agree more. It shoulden't even be legal to compare band members. They all have had their share of history with Nightwish. It doesn't matter which posision they have in the band. Sami/Marko. Tarja/Anette/Floor. Jukka/Kai. They are all amazing musicians and entertainers and should be treated in that way.
Hi, I agree with you both. Tanja is still bullied by a major part of the fans and yes, the past incidents weren't nice at all but so long ago and - as ABBA sang: Breaking up is never easy - . As much as I adore FLOOR: NIGHTWISH would probably not existed without Tarja (her voice is😁). Poor Annette was a stopgab. Her voice is also great but didn't fit in . And then (finally [?]) FLOOR! I watched the Gathering's 25th anniversary show last night, on You Tube, with all 4 of their vocalists on stage singing together at the show - it is a shame that we will never have this happen with Nightwish - what an iconic show that would be!

Could have been coincidence but when Annette left the band they definitely changed styles. Maybe it all happened for a reason but in my mind they don’t have that magical vibe they did since imaginerum and on previous albums. The science and space stuff is cool but it’s not the magical nightwish we all used to know 😞 wish they would go back to the nostalgic vibe they used to have .

Also a lot of people never gave her a real chance due to Nightwish and Tarja's history. (The breaking up) Eventough during Annettte's time they had international hits. I'm happy for Annette is doing alright now. Tarja and Floor are friends. Tarja had a hit together with Within Temptation. Also a very good song and good band. I have been following the band for a about a year and 1/2. I have enjoyed all 3 singers, there are songs I enjoy with Tarja and some with Annette. I am sad I will not get to see Marko play with them live, but there is hope maybe. As for the bullies online, they are the ones with issues, not the individual ladies as they are all fantastic in their own way. How dull the world would be if we were all the same. Celebrate the differences!

Time passes, and there is still drama, still unresolved conflicts, still no direct conversation to clear the situation. Tuomas mihght me music genius, but as a person this dude seems to have serious interpersonal issues.

This is world tour band with over 50 staff members with them, not some high school drama. "On a two-year world tour, Hietala realized that working with Olzon would hardly take very long. - Here was another person who always demanded more and more only because she wanted to demand."
The only "drama" and "conflict" is in your own head. When you leave a job.... MOVE ON. A giant business, former employers, etc.. aren't even thinking of you at all. It's OVER.
In this interview she is still full of hope, her solo album has just been released. Today she works full time as a nurse and the music is on the side. There are no more interviews and in the short news she is always the ex-Nightwish singer. For Tuomas and the others there is no need for contact and by accident it does not result. Floor could visit her, she lives in Sweden like Anette. But why?
She did not deserve all this negativity towards her. What a beautiful classy wel spoken woman. She got bullied by the media and Nightwish fans. People are sometimes so negative. I feel for this woman.
The album was excellent though wasn't a commercial success. She really came back with her band The Dark Element which was a collaboration with Jani a brilliant Finnish guitarist and song writer. The two albums they've made so far are excellent and her new solo album is great to.
Maybe it's because I only more recently in the later Floor era became an actual fan of Nightwish's music (though I had heard them before, even live) that I never really got into the "rivalry" in regards to the leading lady. And let's be real here, clearly the best lead of the three was always - Marko ;-) I have my favorite songs from all eras of Nightwish: Wish I Had An Angel, Ghost Love Score, Amaranth, The Islander, Story Time, Greatest Show on Earth, ...
When you discover a new group that was totally unknown to you and love everyone of it, just do see that many of them have left, I believe also Marco is not of it anymore. Floor is amazing not less than Anette but I doubt I will go to one of their concert without Marco.
I thought she could be in touch with at least Tuomas when it comes to business, she was part of the band for quite some time and earned money from their albums together, just like Tarja is, not in a personal level, but a professional one
Why was she asked to leave the band though? Wikipedia says it was her personal traits that didn't quite suit the music industry? what traits did they mean exactly?
They fired her because she was miserable throughout the last tour complaining that she wanted to be with her son. The pregnancy was the last straw. They were in the midst of a world tour that she would not be able to reliably continue. Nightwish is an industry, one that numerous people depend on to provide for their families. Cancellations of all the remaining shows would have put them out of work and cost the band an enormous amount of money. It’s a shame but she made that choice, it was irresponsible and selfish and it had repercussions.

Imaginaerum easily fits NW's entire discography in his pocket. Floor is an excellent singer, but the albums recorded with her are very bad and when she tries to sing the songs recorded by Anette, it really doesn't sound good. Songs recorded by Anette can only be sung by Anette.

NW Actually had anniversary-show some years ago. All old members had open invitation to come and perform in that show. Tarja and Anette didn't attend.

She was very good with Nigthwish we just had that obsesión with Tarja but am sure I will like her album she is actually a very good singer
