    Anette is my favorite vocalist, along with Jonas Renkse of Katatonia. I love Anette's bright, lively tone, and her versatility with different music styles from ballads, to pop, to rock and metal, and even jazzy like Slow Love Slow. Best of the Nightwish singers (and I love all three) and a great solo artist. Love ya, Anette! Keep the music coming, and your caring for others too!

    I have been drawn to Anette's voice in 2007 in Nightwish I was disappointed when she left but I have collected every album she has done since.

    I hated seeing so many people being so harsh on her during her NW days for the terrible crime of not being an operatic singer. Annette's lovely, her albums with NW were incredible and honestly so is her work with The Dark Element and what I've seen so far in her solo albums. That being said, loved the interview!

    • @remagine
      @remagine 5 месяцев назад

      That is not true, the dislikement about Annette in NW wasn't she couldn't do operatic vocals, if you know Nightwish you know that since Century Child and Once operatic vocals were almost non existent, the issue with Annette in NW was the lack of vocal power that the songs required to the point that they had to lower they key to the songs for her to be able to sing them and her sound of pop voice was not suitable for the songs and they sounded off that was the issue

    This is such a lovely interview. I liked the questions and Anette's answers made me feel like I wish I could be her friend and talk to her about all these topics. ❤ She seems to have such a warm personality and is the first person I followed on Instagram ever. I am just grateful beyond words that she exists at the same time as I do and that she continued making music past all the Nightwish history.

    Anette is right, these are being the darkest days of our generation, the worst part is that I see that things can still get much worse before they get better. That's why I appreciate the light that emanates from her and her music, despite the tone of the album.

    Thanks for the interview. Anette was the voice of such big songs that introduced myself and others to a genre of music. I personally remember her as part of the soundtrack to a period of my life when I was studying late nights in the 2000s in college - Strong was such a big album to me that I listened to a lot during the pandemic. It’s nice to know she appreciates the fans, and I have actually received one of those hearts on instagram when I have written a message. Thanks! 🙏

    She's always been an amazing artist and singer. I don't want to tread old ground, as I've said enough on that subject of the hate she got. But she's come on in leaps and bounds. Most singers reach a stage of their careers where they stagnate. They cant do it anymore, don't produce quality anymore, and their newer work just doesnt have the magic that it once did. They just live off their back catalogue from their heyday. Anette has done the opposite, she's evolving and getting better and better with each new song and album. Which is incredible to say the least because she's been around now for a long time. And judging by the stuff that's come out in recent times she's not slowing down anytime soon. Loving this women and her work, long may it continue! The Pixie Queen of Metal!

    I adore Floor Jansen; she is an extraordinary singer and fundamental to the global symphonic metal scene. However, in my opinion, she was somewhat overshadowed during her time with Nightwish due to the uninspiring songs, of which, particularly, hardly any stood out as good. Tuomas made an assertive choice in recruiting Anette Olzon, an extremely charismatic vocalist whose timbre I adore. She will always be remembered as one of the best singers in the global symphonic metal scene, and I hope she remains active in the global metal scene.

      She said she was the producer, which is true. If she doesn't like the idea or music, she can cut it out and send Magnus back to the drawing board. Everything had to go through Anette to be on the album. That's the definition of a producer. Magnus helped to write the songs instrumentally.

    but rapture is about biblical themes. its not all about easy life but its not dark, cause its about events about to happend, depends how you see it.
