I’m glad to listen and watch this incredible piece from her. Sincerely, I’ve never liked her in Nightwish (without hate), but she’s doing interesting things by herself, and this album is great
She deserves success after how badly she was treated by them. She also said she likes Tarja's solo albums. That would be an interesting collaboration if that ever happens.

Anette Olzon getting better than ever with the passing of the years meanwhile Nightwish goes worse than ever either. This is a proof that you don't need belong in band to be an amazing artist. Excellent creativity on this video and lyrics. Good job Anette!😎
To be fair, Nightwish went down officially with how bad Imaginaerium was. (Not Anette's fault though, it was the music) So it's been a while. Anette has only been getting better over time. And the funny thing is, other past members of Nightwish are also enjoying success - Marco and Tarja just put out a hard rock single this year together. So it seems like things are better for them without Nightwish holding them back.
It seems that Anette Olzon has absorbed the essence of Tuomas Holopainen, because in each of the projects and particularly in her solo creations she releases better and better albums unlike Nightwish that goes down compositionally. Very well Annette thanks to your charm I have become a fan of yours.
Nightwish really lost something when anette was gone. Her voice really fits very well in the metal rock music. She does not have the largest vocal range in nightwish but her range is very calm and pretty to listen but also strong in the beltings.
Thats what im saying, people credit Floor too much bcs of the range, but i think Anettes voice is muchhh more soothing and beautiful, even Tarjas is more beautiful too.

@@feridedogan7653I don't think it's Floor's fault new Nightwish is what it is. It's the poor songwriting and the fact that Tuomas allegedly won't let her use her full range so she doesn't sound like Tarja. Tuomas' ego has taken over the songwriting and not in a good way. They've been going downhill since Imaginaerium (Anette was the best part of that album, but she couldn't save it). And what little I heard from Endless Forms was either bland or self-indulgent. Haven't listened to anything past that. Anette by comparison is only getting better and improving on her own and with collabs.
@@mish375 i know is not her fault. I actually like floor too. But now Tuomas is gone. Maybe it will get better. Actually from sales of tours and Lps with anette they sold the most. But she wanted Tour less wich tuomas didnt like because of less money.

Well, I'm among those who don't feel exactly appealed by the subject matter… having said that, I dig completely this song, of the three singles so far, this is the best track

Music is so powerful and personally as a Christian I love how personal expression of faith in all different musical styles shows how faith can be beneficial expressed across a large spectrum of the world. Same for secular music too I love all forms of music regardless of musicians lifestyles.
Got here after listening to "Songs the Night Sings" with her in The Dark Element. Fantastic find. ❤️ And yes, I used to listen to Nightwish 20 years ago in high school and came back to it in the past few years, never realizing all the wars and changes that they've been through since then... 😅

I for one am happy that you are still making music. This is a great work, and Magnus does a great job as your sidekick... I wish that you consider hitting the stages again, there are many fans who want to see you live 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I am very happy about Annette's return, since I read that she retired from the music world. Let the haters say what they want, she is still my favorite Nightwish singer.
She is decent singer, and I like her albums with NW, honestly I think Floor (was) best due to versatility, but I am not sure now because of whole solo things etc.... but the truth is Annete was just bad live. To see Floor live is another lever, Tarja was not moving type :D but she has insane charisma a dramatic voice, but Annete was in some song purely terrible. Studio albums ok (and that is what I really care about) Annete is good, I like her voice, not as epic as Tarja or Floor, but I like her singing
@@pavolridrich3434 I don't agree at all about Anette live. To me, The Poet and the Pendulum in her performance is far better and more powerful than Floor's performance.
@@moviehipster3976 may be , is few songs, i personally like floor version mich more of pendulum. But even if song here or there was better with Annete, overall she was weakest live for all three, at least for me. Impresionante Canción, músicos, coros y tu voz única y maravillosa ❤ Sos una Diosa! El vestuario magnífico y la escenografía también! El álbum del año para mí!!!! 🎉
I don't usually critique songs when I listen to them, but I had to do it on this one because I noticed something very interesting and I noticed the same thing in Heeding the Call. The chorus is too weak compared to the intro/verse and pre-chorus, the songs start absolutely amazing, they both got that jaw dropping factor and give you goosebumps right from the start, but when the chorus comes I feel an emptiness that is a bit disturbing. And upon further listening to these songs I think I figured out why this happens. I believe that Anette's and Magnus's songwriting skills have evolved so much that a chorus becomes obsolete for their songwriting. They put so much energy in the intro and verse and it leaves no room for more energy in the chorus. In 98% of the songs ever written the chorus is the main interest in the song because the verse has a low or average energy, and it leaves room for an explosion in the chorus, but when reaching high levels of songwriting and the verse is so epic then the chorus just becomes an extension of the verse. And this creates a problem because if you keep a traditional structure in a song people will expect an explosion in the chorus compared to the verse and if you can't deliver that it will feel strange. That's why I believe that it's time to give up the chorus and change the foundation of music structure, I've seen this in several songs. The chorus could be actually a release of tension on purpose, not a builder, that way leaving the brain of the listener to relax before another verse thus allowing for more adrenaline to build up. I've seen this in the song The Unkillable Soldier by Sabaton. The chorus has the meaning to release not build tension and that's what makes it even more awesome. In this song I noticed that the last chorus actually sounded awesome compared to the previous two and that's because it came after a more relaxed part, so it could be a surprise in the end instead of the main motif. But over all this song is amazing, it reminds me of Scaretale for some reason, one of my favorite Nightwish songs (and yep that song did not feature a chorus) and I hope this will not be taken as a negative critique, as I said I Iove this song, I just believe in the future these songs have to potential to get better. I myself started to learn how to write music inspired by the awesomeness of symphonic metal so I know how hard it is to make something this awesome and my post was just a suggestion as a listener, it would take me years before I could make something this awesome, but learning how to write music can be as fun and interesting as listening to it.
I owe you my apologies. I was always all Tarja and Floor. But you have proven to us all to be so wrong! Not only I’m listening your songs but interviews, people where so wrong about you. Including me. And I’m sorry for that. You deserve the best ❤

To those who, for whatever reason, are choosing to go out of their way to complain over the lyrical content, I have this to say: I'm someone of a luciferian/satanic belief system and I still enjoy her music from this album (And all of her previous work too). I think the most important thing to remember is that music is dynamic and open to interpretation (regardless of the beliefs of the songwriter, which shouldn't affect your own enjoyment of a song in my personal opinion). Music is its own language, not everything has to be so conflicted. Example: I've seen plenty of christians compliment and enjoy the band Behemoth, who's music is full of satanic themes (it doesn't take a change in beliefs to appreciate an artist's work, remember that). For me personally, one way I interpret this song is remembering that it could be a wake up call to humanity in general as well. Human beings tend to create their own heaven or hell while still on Earth, in action or how we treat one another... so we are our own judgement day in one sense, if you think on it. Humanity is in hell a lot of times with how chaotic things are on the planet but maybe we can find a way to get through all the disorder and build something new as we try and gain new clarity, returning to light (wisdom/knowledge of self/or the divine, whatever you choose to believe, even if its in a god or in yourself). Why don't we just appreciate what beauty we still have in the world and the music instead of being so upset at everything all the time? If a song isn't for you thats also totally fine also, just don't be rude about it, that's all. Hopefully I'm not talking too much, lol. Also a quick note to all fellow Nightwish fans. I'm of the mind that every Nightwish singer brought something unique to the table and each singer (Tarja, Anette, and Floor) are all hard working women who deserve respect for all they've done for themselves and in metal/music in general. Let's just try get along. Life is too short! Savor music, life, nature, your friends, family, everything you can while you can. No matter what happens, let's all try to make something beautiful out of our lives while we are still here. In closing, just want to say epic work Anette, and everyone who created this new album with you. I'm so happy to see how far you've come from Nightwish till now, you've always rocked but its good to see you are still creating music when you can. When you joined Nightwish I was only in 7th grade and I remember things were complicated, complex, not always easy but fast forward to now and you're still here. I believe that you and those dear to you can handle any trials that come your way, so stay strong and just be true to yourself.
I’m an atheist and I love this song!!!! It’s so beautiful and her voice is so pleasing to listen to. 🖤🤘🏻 I see this song as just a story, I don’t care if she’s talking about Christianity, it’s just a song about a story.
As a christian i think your comment is very nice, because nowdays mainstream artist are mocking christianity a lot, and the song is talking about the Rapture that for some christians is what starts the apocalypse. Respect and love with all kind of people is something so important in our society these times

Her voice is getting better and better just like her style. I am always happy whenever there is any new song with her. She's a very versatile and talented singer.
She's a Queen of metal on her own right. Worked for it hard, deserves it well.
Wait til you hear her live , she can t sing live
@@teonaj5144 Here we have another boomer doing nothing except spreading hate on the internet. Either a toxic Tarja fan or an average Floor fan. She only struggled live when she joined NW, after a year she could already sing Ghost Love Score with no problems.
@@vagueofficial The shows from March-July of 2012 are remarkable,Anette and the others are stellar during that tour, the 2007-09 shows are for the most part excellent as well but not to the same level....and offcourse Anette was phenomenal live during the 2018 Dark Element shows in Finland and Japan with very little rehearsal time.
@@vagueofficiallol she will never sing gls properly...lol
@@Pedja-s7y Keep coping buddy.
Anette is so massively underrated even by Nightwish fans. Her performance on Scaretale is probably the best among all Nightwish songs
She's phenomenal whether it's a secret or not.
Floor's laughing at loud thinking you consider Anette's performance on Scaretale better than hers on Music
@@johan7170 every human with functional ears knows Annette's performance is a billion times better....Floor is a skanky transvestite karaoke failed Tarja clone, who caused the downward spiral even moreso than Tuomas pretentious cringe lyrics.
@@johan7170 I can assure you that Floor doesn't give a crap about my opinions
I'll always love Anette voice, especially with this kind of fast pace music 🔥❤️
You go, Annette!!!
She’s got such a lovely soft voice perfect for fantasy metal
Indeed she's a true blessing.
Anette is really showing her creativity with so many different projects. This song is fantastic. I could see her doing a song with Theocracy at some point given this song. Hoping we also get the next Dark Element album as well.
Okay, WE NEED A TOUR FOR THIS ALBUM
Said nobody, never.
@@johan7170Nope. She's right. We need a tour.
Unfortunately, Anette said that there won't be a tour for Rapture... Strong didn't have a tour either 😢😢💔💔
Love the fact she still making music, especially goth/symph metal.
I’m glad to listen and watch this incredible piece from her. Sincerely, I’ve never liked her in Nightwish (without hate), but she’s doing interesting things by herself, and this album is great
Nightwishes music just hasn't hit the same since her time. Im so glad she is still making music
She deserves success after how badly she was treated by them. She also said she likes Tarja's solo albums. That would be an interesting collaboration if that ever happens.
@@mish375she is treAted badly? What she do to not be treated bad...her singing is pain to my ears
Her stage presence maybe lol or dress style😂😂🎉🎉
It's really cool that the Dark Angels let her film this music video in their Fortress Monestary.
Anette has her unique touch when it comes to power/symphonic metal. I am really glad she parted ways with Nightwish because she found her incredible way to shine upon us this brilliant talent of hers 🤘🏻🔥 thank you for the music, Anette! Cannot wait to hear what's next 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Well it's Annette's song, can't be bad, it's the opposite, this is a beautiful song as always!!
Thank you Annette Olzon, you are a diamond ❤!!!
Anette you rock girl ❤️your music is much more beautiful than the music Nightwish make with Floor now….
@@vagueofficial same for me. I just Listen now nightwish new Song. Is very boring. Floor only shines out because she sings tarjas and anettes Songs. I never heared anything good Musically after anettes last 2 albums.
@@vagueofficial Range isn't the most important or even a requirement to be a credible, proficient vocalist ,examples Bob Seger,Wendy Melvoin, Joe Walsh,Roger Waters,Regine Chassagne, etc ..Anette actually has amazing range, versatility and most importantly - she conveys emotions in her vocals...Not many could make some of the ridiculous lyrics Magnus wrote for the Allen/Olzon debut into quality songs, yet Anette did...and the arrangements/ compositions on the 2nd Alyson Avenue CD via her cousin seem to be against Anette's strengths, yet she makes most of the tracks work , in particular Could I Be Wrong + I Still Believe.
I said it before, and I will say it again....Anette found her TRUE voice AFTER leaving Nightwish. The Dark Element, and her Strong album...absolutely AMAZING performances, and this new one is no disappointment!
I agree 😄👍
I LOVE this song and message! PLEASE Frontiers keep bringing this music with a much needed positive messages!
Amen to that
Yes🙏 Well written! Agree
Her voice has much improved. I am glad that she still sings and I reckon that she gave a huge contribution to Nightwish.
OMG I love her so much❤
Whether you love or hate the subject matter, Anette has courage to sing about this. ❤❤❤
Agreed! I'm an atheist, but I love cathedrals and religious artwork lol
Well, I'm among those who don't feel exactly appealed by the subject matter… having said that, I dig completely this song, of the three singles so far, this is the best track
Music is amazing as the words can be powerful to some but sometimes mixed with certain sound can appeal to more.
And yes, I used to listen to Nightwish 20 years ago in high school and came back to it in the past few years, never realizing all the wars and changes that they've been through since then... 😅
My favorite Anette albums after this new one has now soaked into my heart,mind,bloodstream.......>>> 1.Dark Element/2.Dark Passion Play/3.Strong/4.Rapture/5.Imaginarium/6.Songs The Night Sings/7. Army Of Dreamers/8.Ultima Grace/9.Presence Of Mind/10.Shine/11.Worlds Apart/12. Omega.
So glad to see Anette singing metal again! Her voice and all the emotion she puts on every song make her truly unique.
Good job, you found your place and the world must apologize to you dear Anette.
Love Annette. She's amazing and nowadays, she's creating the best power metal worldwide ❤
"This music video was recorded in Anor Londo"
Anette as a Queen of Metal was something I have never imagined after she left Nightwish, and I am so glad that she embraced Symphonic Metal and made it her own.
The music and the video are superb.
Annete wasn't the perfect choice for Nightwish but she's perfect for herself ❤️🔥
She keeps getting better and better!!! All 3 songs I've heard from this album are amazing!!! I already pre-ordered the CD and I can't wait to get it.
Same! Agree - in these days we need to buy the music of the artists we like so they stay active.
Wow! Love the song, the video and the costumes! Great job. This is probably your best single yet, anette! ❤
Definitely up there with her very best.
Äntligen.

I loved her in Nightwish, and she's great as a solo artists, she's an amazing vocalist!!
Sometimes it seems to me that she was actually the best Nightwish singer.
This is pure fkn classic. Who woulda thought Anette could smash it like this.Well done you superstar...Wacken is calling!
her outfit and mask, the cgi and of course the music, it's everything perfect
She Is Amazing
I've had it on repeat since yesterday!! So awesome and definitely my favorite of the three singles for this album so far!!
I can't stop listening to this!!!😂 Been on repeat also.
Love this song. I have listened on repeat for the last few days.
The whole album is great. Instant classics.
I love Cast Evil Out, Take A Stand, Greedy World, Rapture, Head Up High...well every song.
@@ericrobertson2024 yeah she does some great things with her voice. I like the whole album specially Greedy World and Hear my Song
Maybe I was a little harsh on the lyrical content... Well, I am not a believer, but the music kicks some serious ass that I really enjoyed the album nonetheless.
I for one am happy that you are still making music. This is a great work, and Magnus does a great job as your sidekick... I wish that you consider hitting the stages again, there are many fans who want to see you live 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Her best song yet!
I am very happy about Annette's return, since I read that she retired from the music world. Let the haters say what they want, she is still my favorite Nightwish singer.
my favorite Nightwish singer too
She is decent singer, and I like her albums with NW, honestly I think Floor (was) best due to versatility, but I am not sure now because of whole solo things etc.... but the truth is Annete was just bad live.
But maybe it is just me, because I am not really a big fan of female metal bands, with very few exceptions. NW, I used to like Battle Beast, of course Alize in Arch is insane, and thats basically it. I lovd Notre dame with Snowy , I love Experiment N.Q again with Snowy, but these are male and female, so it is different.
If you know good female singer in bands, let me know :)
I am happy to see Anette sing again. Great voice , great singer!
I'm so glad Anette back with more amazing music! I've always loved Dark Passion Play, huge fan, she has a lot to offer as an artist.
The Dark Element also great. Listen to the Songs the Night Sings album.
Gin & tonic, Olzon & Karlsson, perfect combination examples
Anette you rules!! Amo esta canción, saludos de Argentina!
Cant believe Anette is already over 50 she looks beautiful and sounds amazing like always, The song should be the theme of the videogame Bioshock. 😎

We love you Anette! Keep on doing what you love!
The underrated Queen, so brilliant ❤️
Incrível, como sempre a Anette calando os haters
Imaginaerum was always my favorite Nightwish album and they called me a madman!
Time puts everything in place
What a song, what a voice
Bella Anette una de las vocalistas mas increíbles del metal sinfónico ❤❤❤❤❤
It's amazing what she has accomplished outside Nightwish. This is so heavy and majestic. Love it!.
I've had trouble choosing but I do think I like Rapture more than Strong.
I owe you my apologies. I was always all Tarja and Floor. But you have proven to us all to be so wrong! Not only I’m listening your songs but interviews, people where so wrong about you. Including me. And I’m sorry for that. You deserve the best ❤
That’s actually heartwarming to read ❤
Anette is awesome
Good to see Annette still rockin! I love Tarja and Floor, but I still believe the two albums with Annette, are Nightwish's best
On the recordings...may be...but when attempted LIVE...thats another story...Nightwish are a stadium filling live act, not a recording project...& Annette just cant cut it without studio toys
Great production, love the message, music is on point, vocals are "heavenly". Love, love, love!!!
I see this song as just a story, I don’t care if she’s talking about Christianity, it’s just a song about a story.
As a christian i think your comment is very nice, because nowdays mainstream artist are mocking christianity a lot, and the song is talking about the Rapture that for some christians is what starts the apocalypse. Respect and love with all kind of people is something so important in our society these times
Awesome! Thank you Anette so much. Tusen tack! 💪👏🌹🌞
❤❤❤🤗🤗🤗🤗🔥🔥🔥🔥 love you Anette and love this song
She is a great singer❤😊
She's a horrible singer.
My least favorite track on the album is the final song and I like it more than almost any track by any other artist I've heard this year,so that conveys my joy of this album.
