Thanks in advance for answer, I didn't find it nowhere, just Simga SEO mentioned it is possible during interview for NFilmSchool...

Very cool thanks 🙏 Now the real question is would shoot braw over CDNG ? Do you have the same flexibility for color grading , hightlight recovery …. I know it’s maybe a lot to ask but a comparison between BRAW , pro redraw and CDNG would be such a very helpful video I’m struggling between a lumix S5II or a ZCAM that can shoot ZRAW then converted to CDNG What do you think 🤔 ❤
If you hang out for the end of the video, I actually put together a video last year talking about why I prefer BRAW over CDNG, but I don’t think I included direct comparison footage. Yea CDNG is a digital negative and is actually RAW versus BRAW which some argue is not true RAW, but I do appreciate the look of BRAW and often prefer it. I have not messed around with R3DRAW, so I would not be a good authority on that comparison 😉 As far as helping with your decision, what are you filming?

Very helpful video Anson. I have a couple of questions regarding this set up. Regarding viewing on the fp's output, when you set raw recording on the fp, does it use the color off profile or something else? Can you change color profile on the fp when out put to raw? On the video assist, when taking the raw signal from fp, which built in LUT do you recommend to make it better for viewing since the fp does not have a Log profile or its own lut, is the BM film ok?
Good questions! 1. It does put the FP into the color off profile, and you cannot change it. 2. As far as a LUT, I use my own custom LUT that helps me see an end product. It’s been forever since I made it, but I’m pretty sure I made it as a Rec 709 conversion LUT with footage straight out of camera, and put a grade on top of it. It’s gets me 95% there most of the time.

I think I still prefer the fp, there is something special about the image that it just seems more filmic, but if I need AF the IIX is very close enough that I’m not sad about it. And there is no 6k open gate, so for my projects where I use the IIX I’d rather just use pro res or all-I

When shooting slow motion 1080 on the fp, I do sometimes get line-skipping artifacts in straight lines. Kind regards -Ola
I shot a ton of 1080 footage in my trip to Croatia, I didn’t notice a ton and I even shot full frame for a lot of it. The fp L does have a OLPF filter and so it’s reducing artifacts a little. BUT if you do want a 1:1 readout it will need to be close to a s16 crop yes. If you want to check out test footage, look at my fp L in 2023 video I did a couple months ago, it has 1080 footage in there if there is any slow motion, obviously that is 1080
