Can always easily add another cold shoe mount adapter on the cage, so definitely possible! I've tried it with my Hollyland Mic receiver and just put a little smallrig coldshoe mount on the side, worked great.
Your main rig that you have set up can the Video assist be powered by the v-mounted battery? Or do you have to have a battery inserted into the back of the Video Assist?
Can you attach a Rode VideoMic GO II to the mini rig while you have the Blackmagic Video assist on? Is there room for an another adapter?
