I love mine. I have two and they work perfectly. I pour a cooled pot of coffee into mine. Once frozen I can pour my cold brew coffee over it with some cream and as it melts. . . the coffee stays strong.

I use filtered water- only thing over last year I notice slight taste- remember drinking from garden hose taste- slightly like that- wonder about long term health of it- but still use it-

You obviously have missed the point of this types of ice trays. You would like a nice presentation as well for a nice whiskey glass etc. Especially if you're drinking expensive whisky, or have guests over .

Has anyone that uses these silicone ice cube trays, add the ice cubes directly to water? If so do you notice that the ice cubes release an oily substance?
I don’t know if its hard components separating from my water when it freezes, or if it is a residue from the way they are made, or of silicone oils are leeching out and sticking to the ice cubes.

I'm also using these BS ice cube trays. It's a waste of time removing the cubes. As if we need to spend time with that. I like the old school trays better.
