@@StevenChris "It's just what you see, pal."
The design is brilliant, what I find most impressive is that so far it's all mechanic principles and no electronics, and yet it moves like your own fingers and has significant weight still behind it
I mean, it's way easier to replicate a mechanic system with a mechanic system, instead of doing it with a electronic one, you can have more precision with an extremely advanced electronic replication of such system, but that's the kind of thing that costs hundreds of millions in RnD, like the one being done to create a perfect hand prothesis.
What’s amazing about this one is the fact it responds to your nerve signals quickly and normally like regular fingers unlike standard medical prosthetics that are slow in response. Also, gotta say, impressive work on doing the project with just yourself. That’s quite the dedication. 👍
Its based on physical movement of the rest of the real hand. Its not an implant
The what signals
Es movimiento mecánico al extender la muñeca se extienden los dedos y al abducir la muñeca abducen respecto al dedo medio
It's only by physical movement like he said movement in the wrist. If he made it by nerve signals it would be called a bionic arm they're pretty cool
This dude is officially the T-800. 👍🦾

It's an impressive work of mechanical engineering, but the kind of industrial myoelectric bionic arms that allow for individual digit manipulation are advancing at such a rate (with reaction delays currently at roughly a second and prices dropping by the year) I'm not sure if this would be especially revolutionary. It looks incredibly lightweight though, even if it may not be especially strong, and its design could have advantages (especially in cost.)

Imagine wanting to make a prosthetic and making one the beats most modern ones except the new robotic ones
I have one of the modern robotic ones, and this one is better. My main gripe with my fancy robotic hand is that it is slow, like 1 second to open, 1 second to close. So slow...
The other thing I find lacking is that my robotic hand is a blind touch. Since the fingers use gear motors to generate the motion, you have no idea what kind of force is being transferred onto the object in the hand.
Santiago Fuentes Ojeda no bro, its mechanical, like when youre tightening a screw
you can feel how hard youre twisting in your WRIST not fingers, same principle, he can tell how hard he is applying pressure by how much force is required to close it onto whatever object
@@richalequan6595 could do that by having a bracelet somewhere on arm with tiny needles that push into you for each different finger depending on pressure of the prosthetic finger. brain should adjust quite fast to understand force of each finger depending on pain of needle stab
Actually a less invasive approach would be to use haptic motors that vibrate at a higher frequency in relation to the resistance of a thin film transducer placed on the pairing beam. I looked at doing that early on, but decided it would be more reliable going strictly mechanical for the feedback.
Man this video gives me some kind of releif.. if ever i loose my fingers il come and find u bro for sure..
