I first heard it when I was 21. Danced with my baby to it. Original.1973. Love this song!
You can tell they're genuinely having fun in that video and it's infectious.
Isn't this wonderful? Love hearing Tim sing in his upper register. BTW: Chris Marion is Tim's brother-in-law.
Thank you for the scoop!😁
@@DLynn - There's another video of Austin singing "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" - his 'back-up' singer Jenika Marion is Tim's wife.
I really loved this performance by Tim & Austin & the other guys. I don't think I have ever heard Tim sound so clear & crisp in his upper falsetto range. Who would ever believe that he is a natural bass who can drop down into the basement depths. But then as soon as he speaks you can hear his low tone. Wouldn't it be cool to have these guys perform for you at home.
Omg, YES! I would be so awkward and fangirly, tho!🤣
Austin and Tim blew it out of the water. They played My Maria so well and everything from the harmonics, the guitar solo, to Tim hitting those high notes made this amazing. I had to catch my breath after listening to this for the first time because I have never been so excited and happy to hear such a great cover of a song that I love.
Love seeing Chris again. He always leaves me in awe of his talent. Tim nailed it!
You might want to check out Tim’s RUclips channel, he recently did a couple songs with Austin and Chris. One was written by Austin called We Can Take A Night off, and one written by Tim called Good Old Country Harmony. I think they are both good songs.
I love all the background info you provide for your reactions! Thanks for sharing!
Aw, thank you for watching!😁
Just caught your reaction to "My Maria", thanks as always for your background information. Hope you
are enjoying the sunny Pittsburgh Saturday. Have you
heard Tim doing "And The Thunder Rolls" accompanied
by Chris. Take care.
Have not heard of a Garth Brooks cover by Tim....🤔 Sounds interesting...thank you, fellow yinzer!💛🖤💛🖤💛🖤
@@DLynn Love the yellow and black hearts.
It is so freaking amazing that Tim has that range.
Right?!😱
Austin in his lower register and Tim in his upper register seems strange to hear Austin singing lower than Tim. The bass player is Tim's brother in law Jenika's brother
Yeah, it threw me off, but I love Austin's l o w e r voice 😉😁 Good to see ya @Ron Fuqua!
Love your reactions!!💗
Thank you!
I honestly think this is a game-changer. Combined with Chance's new single "driver's license," it's pretty clear that the tight formatting that is a cappella is starting to feel confining to these guys. I will be very curious to see where the group heads next after the holiday tour. To me, the trio of Foust-Brown-Chattem could easily be the nucleus of a super-group. Add a Jeffrey East or Stephen Martinez to the mix, you have a massive amount of talent -- both as performers and songwriters.
The bass player is Tim's brother-in-law (Jenika's brother)
Austin, Tim & Chris' have such great vocals as a trio. Sebastien (keyboard) Chris & Tim's brother in law Chris Marion are great with the music.
Beautiful reaction from a Beautiful Lady. You, have great taste if you like this. LOL. Tim is closing in on a 6 octave range and is still working on it. Austin, btw, carried the low harmonies on this one. Absolutely a great song. Great Review !!!! Thumbs up!
This was Sooo good.
And wouldn't it be nice to live in Austin's neighborhood.
The bass guitarist is Tim's wife's brother.
I remember thus song from 1973. From Stevenson.
Wasn’t this fun?! Man, they’re good. Yeah, hard to believe Tim can go that high. Then after the video he goes back talking in the basement. All the guys are good. Chris Chatham wrote the song Land of the Free with Tim. They are friends. The bass is Tim’s brother in law, Jenika’s brother. Sebastien is Austin’s friend and they’ve collaborated on quite a few songs on Austin’s channel. I would love to live near Austin and hear that music. Good reaction D. Lynn.
The other guy is Chris Marion Tim's brother in-law. Chris Chatham has sung with Tim for a very long time they were in a group called Blue Jupiter. He is on Tim's page a lot he is at Tim's Birthday Bashes. Great reaction from you.
The high notes Tim sang probably reminded you of The Lion Sleeps Tonight.
🤔maybe...
Didnt realize the range Tim has!
Dearest D., Thanks for your usual research diligence. Most seem to think the B&D version was the original. I knew better because I remember when the actual original came out. Oh yeah, I'm a geezer alright. Better that than past tense tho eh? Honestly, I didn't even know about the other cover, was too busy playing jazz to notice when that one came out.
I thot you might've seen/heard Chatham on Austin's cover of Signed, Sealed, Delivered which btw also featured Seby AND Tim's wife Jenika, this bassist's sister.
Watch the epilogue of this video, they're available to come to your backyard too ya know.
Thanks again, gorgeous Goddess.
Wow...my, you got me a-blushin!😊 Thank you for watching and for the comments! I never heard of B.W. Stevenson, but, he seemed cool from the bit of research I did (r.i.p.). I haven't reacted to Signed, Sealed, Delivered yet, but we I can throw it on my list! Oh, and that's awesome you play jazz!🎶🎷
@@DLynn Blushin you say? Well I'm sure you look lovely in that color too. Thank YOU for the always watch-worthy reactions. See, the very fact that you DO research puts you in a special class of reactors. Oh sure, I'd prolly watch just to gaze upon thee but honestly, your reactions are so damn good I'd watch even if you looked like a gargoyle.
@@fogdog165 lol...hopefully you won't ever see _that_ look!
@@DLynn Not bloody likely but now I kinda wanna. Ooh, how bout as yer Halloween costume? C'mon, ya wouldn't hafta go full ghastly, maybe just the big ol' wings and a horn or two. You'd still be hot so why the hell not?
Love this song! Loved the original (from way back in the day) and love this version. Never heard the Brooks & Dunne version (not being much of a country fan), but maybe I'll check it out.
I hope you’re safe when sitting in your car doing reactions at night time🥺. Recently began watching & sometimes I’m scared for you…..thinking that someone’s gonna come knock on your window or try opening your door😇. Just stay safe, girl!
Believe me, I have that fear too sometimes...thank you for looking out!😁❤
Tim and Austin do quite a bit of performing together at Tim Foust & Friends events.
D. Lynn, there is a fabulous video of Austin, Tim's wife Jenika Marion, Chris Chatham with Sebastien on Keys and they are performing Signed, Sealed, Delivered - in this very deck. It is absolutely the best video on Austin's channel and you should do yourself the favour and watch it soon. Thank you for all the HF reactions. Cheers!
Thank you!
speaking of home free solo members, you might want to check out adam chance's cover of the 2021 pop hit "drivers license"
Hopefully soon!
Thank you for reacting to this song. I was really happy when I found out they were going to sing this song together. Tim taking the high tenor is so good. Austin with the lower tenor is great also. Chris Chatham is a great singer. There is a song on youtube from about 2010 with Tim and bandmates before Home Free....Tim Foust - Edge Of Glory...done with Chris and two other bandmates. Really good and Tim gives a shoutout to his little Monsters. At the time he was a substitute teacher. It is fun if you have a chance or would just like to check it out without reacting. Just up to you. It's worth listening to either way. Thanks again.
Thank you @Regina Minton...I'll check it out!😁
💘
🥰🥰🥰🥰
That was fun!! Great brooks and Dunn classic,! Be sure to listen all the way to end. Marion is Tim’s brother-in-law! They could’ve personalize the lyrics for you by switching your name from Maria!!😂🎶 Nice Reaction!!
Take a power tenor (Chris Chatham), one of the highest tenors in a cappella today (Austin), and one of the lowest basses in a cappella (Tim) and have them sing a song with a high descant-like part above the melody. Who gets to sing the high harmony? The bass, of course.
I love this comment.
Thank you for crediting BW Stevenson as the original artist instead of Brooks and Dunn. So many people think that Brooks and Dunn were the first to record this. I LOVE this cover!
Oh, I guarantee you've heard it before! Brooks and Dunn (that's where my son is tonite [concert]) huge huge hit. Bet it was at a bar somewhere. Be Safe
Hahaha, you ain't lyin' @Rod Conner!🤣🤣🤣🍻🍸🍹
This is my fav song by brooks and Dunn
I guess I need to check it out!😁
Two high tenors and a deep bass. So who is singing the falsetto? Tim!
Oh my, D. Lynn! You haven't reacted to Austin's cover of Neon Moon? Chris Chatham plays a mean guitar in it as well as sings harmonies with Austin. Please, react to it! You will not be disappointed! I mean, it's Austin, so how could you!? 😁
I know it won't disappoint me, lol! I'm sure I'll get to it at some point...thank you!😁
