I just love that they went, "We've got one of the highest tenors in a cappella music today, another amazing power tenor, and one of the lowest basses in a cappella music today. Who do we want to sing that high descant-like part? The bass? Sounds good."

I really loved this performance by Tim & Austin & the other guys. I don't think I have ever heard Tim sound so clear & crisp in his upper falsetto range. Who would ever believe that he is a natural bass who can drop down into the basement depths. But then as soon as he speaks you can hear his low tone. Wouldn't it be cool to have these guys perform for you at home.

That is Chris " Chatham " Chat-ham Tim's good friend for over 20 yrs and songwriting partner. He and Tim wrote " Land of the Free " ( song in the video with the red, white and blue jeep and the American flag ). On the far right is Chris Marion, Tim's wife Jenika 's brother. Sebastian Douyon on keyboard has been accompanying Austin lately on Neon Moon, Danny Boy, etc... and most recently Austin's latest release " TEARS IN HEAVEN " a classic by Eric Clapton ( if you haven't already would you please react to that one?) It's phenomenal, you will be shook! Austin's friend that was playing keyboard before was Stephen Martinez and he produced this latest release.
Wasn't this so much fun? Yep, Tim on the high tenor notes AMAZING! He and Tim's voices blend so good and when Chris C. joins in for that 3 part harmony, man they are Sick! Chris Chatham also played guitar with Austin on Neon Moon and his skills are killer!
Thank you, so glad you caught your notification bell! This was FIRE!!! GREAT REACTION! ♥️😃🍑🍟🔥🔥🔥

I've loved this tune since the original by B.W. Stevenson came out in '73 (I was 18, do the math if you must).
Brooks & Dunn covered it beautifully in '96 and now Tim & Austin and bros have made it theirs. In the back yard!
What a nice surprise, both that they dropped this without much notice and that you sir, were on it within hours with your excellent reaction.

Fog Dog - I was 22 and in the middle of the Austin Cosmic cowboy scene while a music student at UTexas, a time when you could go, on a Tuesday night, for a $2 cover, and see national acts with pressed albums like BW, all year long. It was bone fide righteous. Austin Tx isn't anything like it was. Money and politicians ruined it. I always liked BWs version because all B&D did was knock it off. This is a KO too, but a better one.

@@glendatarrant4830 Yup. Classic example is Love Me Like That. The high harmony part above Austin's melody line is right where Rob's voice breaks from chest to head voice, so he had trouble singing it. So instead, Tim sings it, then drops down to the bass, and up again, etc. Tim doesn't just have amazing range, he has a lot of vocal agility, too.

As already mentioned, Sebastian, has played a lot of songs with Austin. Chris, also played guitar for Austin on "Neon Moon", plus another song with him and Tim's wife (I can't think of the name of it). Chris and Tim have been buddies for yrs as they used to sing in another a capella band yrs before Tim joined HF. Tim also has a solo album he released in 2010, also before joining HF. It's kinda like country rock. Chris played on that album as well and sang some backup vocals on it. You should check out that album, "The Best That I Could Do". Its on youtube as audio only; no vids. But it's worth listening to some of the tracks. The other gent is Tim's wife's brother, I believe. Her entire family is very musical.
If interested, here is a live version of one of Tim's tracks from that album. The video was for USO Wounded Warriors, so it's kinda long, but still a great video.

Tim has a 5 octave range! Inhuman! Love it! Sebastian on the piano is so good in his accompaniment that he doesn't get the credit he deserves. It's true artistry to be able to place those notes so perfectly with the singers. Austin hits the lower part of his register but we know he can get up in the rafters, no problem. I think the problem is the key they're singing in (for Austin).
If you haven't seen it, check out Austin, with Sebastian on piano, singing Bring Him Home. Be sure to have tissues because if you don't cry you don't have a soul! It's powerful!

You’re right Sebastien has joined Austin before on the same deck playing piano and singing with him too. Chris has been a friend of Tim’s for a long time. I believe Chris co wrote the song Land of the Free with Tim over 10 years ago. I don’t know if he has any songs of his own but he has a nice voice too. Also this is at Austin’s home on his deck he built (when singing the song Moonshine) and his solo song Earn It. I love Austin and Sebastien singing 10,000 hours….so good.

Tim did have a solo album and did pretty well and had his music on the radio. He was also a successful country music song writer for years. There's a video with a song from his solo album on his YT channel called "Tim Foust Live: USO Warriors on Wheels...". Thanks for the video!

Great reaction to this song. Austin, Tim and Chris are really great in this song and Chris Marian and Sebastian are great with their instruments. Tim had said when he was singing in school his voice changed from high tenor to bass and I think they said that his teacher told him to keep with the tenor and just add the bass. That way he wouldn't lose the tenor. Something along that line anyway. When you get a chance please go to...Tim Foust Edge Of Glory...it is a song with 3 of his bandmates before Home Free. Chris Chatham is one of those bandmates and they were singing for the students Tim was teaching math to (sub teacher is what I have heard) He calls them his little monsters. Great song. Thanks and sorry for taking so long.

Tim did Thunder Rolls with Chris Chatham on guitar, I think it was on a fan's channel. Also, check out Tim in Home Free - Mayday
