When Austin took the lead in When A Man Loves A Woman with Home Free, I melted. I mean, when he looked directly into the camera and ... what is this I'm feeling? Look away! Look away! LOL! Unchained Melody is another iconic song, and Austin crushed it.
The beauty of all of that musical theater training! For musicals/Broadway you've got to be able to sing in all different positions, moving around... all sounding as uniformly clear as possible - he got that down!
I was resistant, even as a Homefrie's fan to listening to this because the Righteous Brothers rendition was so perfect. This is, of course, perfect too. Your reaction to this was one of the best you have done. You recognized the choices Austin made in this version and that's very good. My family are all musicians and the most intensive work is that process of choices. Please listen to the Disturbed version of Sound of Silence both the live and the official video to get a damn LESSON in choices. I have subscribed to you now and look forward to more reactions.
You’re singing it was so beautiful at the beginning. I can’t believe I scrolled down so many comments and nobody bothered to tell you that so far. So I guess I’m a be the first.
@@ThatSingerReactions just for you! The composers, Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald slaying their tune What A Fool Believes live at The Redwoods in Berkeley.
Austin just makes it look so easy, and on top of that he's a super nice dude ! He's just down home folks. His daddy was a singer in a Southern Gospel Quartet, that traveled around singing in Churches (mostly Baptist) around the South. Austin would travel with them during the Summer when he was out of school, and that's where he learned to sing in front of folks. You should watch his "Home away from Home" profile video on Home Free's channel. Austin was born & raised in Tifton, Ga and went to college there in Tifton at the satelite branch of the University of Georgia, and was a musical theater major. His college professors tried to get him to pursue an operatic career. Seriously react to that hometown video of Austin, it's real good.
@@ThatSingerReactions While I agree that Austin is on a level of his own, he obviously has put in the time and practice to make it LOOK easy. However, you suggested that he was able to sing this song so well because it was in "his key". Might I suggest that you listen to him sing "At Last" by Etta James. He sings it in "her key", and it is just as stunning.
Actually he attended Oklahoma City University on a full schloarship and majored in musical theater. There are several videos here on YT of Austin and 2 of his clasmates performing at the college.
Austin has such a warm, smooth, velvety voice and Steven is just great with his guitar playing. Thanks for the reaction & please always play Austin's video to the end as he usually has a message to share. Check out Home Free Love Me Like That and Austin displays that vision you have of him.
Great reaction as always. Love when one singer appreciates another. Austin also communicates with reactors so let him know you react to his songs. He may even agree to an interview on your channel. Cheers!
You are so much fun to watch. You have a very good voice yourself. Austin is divine. Singing a classic for sure. Steven on guitar was good too. Love your reaction! Helplessly Hoping, In the Blood, I Can’t Outrun You, Die a Happy Man, Heaven.
Gee, I love Austins head voice. He sounds just beautiful. I wish they would tour Australia,I know they were down here early last year, but they just did a couple"do pop in " shows & let's not forget their collab with 2 Aussie country singers in Queensland when they sung 'HORSES" '.Keep up your reactions, I do enjoy them.Take easy in the US of A❤.
Great reaction! Yes, Austin seems so relaxed while singing this - I heard him say he was a little surprised that this song was so popular (6m+ views right now), he is so humble and nice. You can hear the power in his voice even when he is sitting by the fireplace singing a ballad! I enjoyed you pointing out the nuances that he added to this song that we all appreciate! His cover of Neon Moon is also one of my favs!
I enjoy your reactions so much, especially this one....it's one of my favourite songs and his version is perfect. I love hearing him sing in this stripped back way. Thanks..
He just sang this song so effortlessly!! He sent Maggie Renee a message on her channel, you should get him to send you one! Brad, another reactor sang with Austin while Brad was home and Austin at his house. It was beautiful! They talked to each other that’s how I know Brad wasn’t just singing along with Austin! All them beautiful sceneries are at his house, even when he sang Tears in Heaven at nighttime. The beautiful pond behind him and you could see his house! Love ALL your reactions you let us that don’t really know much about music, know what’s going on. Thanks again for your reaction 🎉 I love Home Free😊
This is so beautifully done. His voice is incredible. You should see if you can get an interview with one of them. We love watching the reactors interview them. I've seen Austin and Tim do interviews with reactors and Home Free loves the reactors. Something to think about trying to do. Love your reactions. 🙂🙂
I've been recommending this to almost everyone... thrilled you did it. Absolutely great reaction, exactly how I felt when I first saw it in April...my intro to Home Free and I'm totally addicted. You also have to check out At Last in the key that Etta James sang. Not to be left is his tribute to Brooks and Dunn, Neon Moon...one of my faves. Really pleased with your channel...love your insights and when you point out things that I wouldn't recognise on my own. Thanks so much!
Man this guy breaks the originals... can you imagine if he were singing this in the 50's? girls everywhere would have been passing out with their grandmothers.
Love your reactions! I got you and the Jesus thing! We Home Fries got your back! Oh btw you have an awesome voice! May I recommend " Let's Stay Together " by Austin. It's great! Also "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables live in concert. He is trained in classical music theatre! Even if you don't prefer that genre it shows another side of him and the ability he has. I know that you will respect it! Thank you so much!❤️🍟
YEAH Austin can sing... he's got the golden touch.. I mean like an Orbis or an Elvis.. or a Motown voice he's got "it" ... blessed really .. and the basses like Tim and Geoff also blessed but down low!
Austin is CRAZY with that voice, and he's also a genuinely soulful and warm personality. Pick any of his covers and you'll be blown away, but I do recommend Ain't No Sunshine, and make sure to listen to the message at the end, At Last (in the same key as Etta James herself, yeah he is that crazy), and my personal favourite (although they all are) Neon Moon. And then we have his originals, yep he writes songs too, starting with Earn It and onwards. You just can't go wrong, my personal favourite is If I Met You Now (a soulful ballad) and the latest is Real Talk. Just pick one, or twenty or all of them to react to! Great reaction! Thank you! 🙏🥰
All of us homefree fans know Austin got them pipes for sure.......but can we take a minute to give a nod to TSR for his amazing singing too? My man has skills also!
Tim released a new song a few days ago called Smile. He co wrote it with Chris Chantham (spelling) I thought it was beautiful. Great reaction. I love all of the guys in Home.Free
Great performance by Austin! This song sounds great in his performance. I want to challenge you to react to the same song, but performed by Voiceplay. John Pinto's voice shines again.
I know it’s not Christmas, but if you want to hear more of what Austin can do, listen to Home Free sing O Holy Night. He blows the rafters off that church. Btw, I love your reaction style. You’re exuberance is contagious and you never fail to make me smile. I also love hearing you sing along. Do you have perfect pitch?
Austin does have the voice of an angel! I pray he goes to Heaven when we leave so I can listen to him a lot, Amen!
I love..this song.. Too
His singing gave me goosebumps…the guitarist is so awesome too
Austin is great and his guitar player was awesome!
When Austin took the lead in When A Man Loves A Woman with Home Free, I melted. I mean, when he looked directly into the camera and ... what is this I'm feeling? Look away! Look away! LOL! Unchained Melody is another iconic song, and Austin crushed it.
He just has lungs for days. All his stuff is worth watching.
The fact he is sitting and still sounds that good is AMAZING!!
Insane

Agreed on all points .

I love Austin too, his breath control is amazing! He makes it look so easy.. Great reaction.
Austin used to sing on a cruise ship. I think it was lion king. You must watch it.
I agree with you he is just amazing. Loved your reaction to this song. ❤️
Wait till you hear him do At Last in Eta’s key.
You have a beautiful voice, so does Austin 🥰
Thank you Tracy ❤
Austin has the perfect voice for these older songs. What a great reaction from you as usual.
Austin is awesome! Did anyone ever tell you you have a beautiful voice? You really do.

Thank you for this reaction, I really get a kick out of your expressions and mannerisms when Austin did his thang.

@@kirklanam151 And in fact recently his lower range has developed a lot and sounds just as smooth and resonant as the rest of his range.
Austin has such a beautiful tone. Thanks for the appreciation and reaction.
No problem
Loved your reaction, as usual. I can't tell you how many times I have listened to this, and every time it hits me hard. It is so incredibly beautiful.

He has covered “At Last” by Etta James in the same original key. Check that one out lol it will give you a whole new appreciation for his talent
If there was anybody who could do this song justice, it would have to be Austin.
Good to see a singer react. Makes a difference for people who don't understand how hard it is.
Dive Bar Saints is one of my favorites of their own songs. They knock everything they do out of the park, tenfold!
Ha, I was trying to reply to a different video but it switch already!
