After full time the teams was still drawing and even after extra time so it went to penalties and England lost..

@@nickbarakat3103 this game wasn't rigged at all leading up to this game italy's plan was to play more physicaland out muscle the smaller Koreans it was in italys media. and at the start of the game you can see Italys tactics south korea decided to match it. when this happens you get a scrappy game but from a referee view hes already let some of italys physical nature go so he has to be consistent. there is videos showing you elbows from both teams. so yes the offside may have been a mistake but its close and when a player ends up so far it can deceive am assistants eyes. Italy has a reputation of diving referees hate to conned and manipulated and he was actually booked for descent not simulation.

Fifa has a point when it comes to using technology to referee a game. The system has to be absolutely perfect before using it. The goal-line technology has yet to make a mistake, and that's because it was in development for years and never rushed.
If you implement too much technology, eventually there wouldn't be a need for linesmen and referees.

A record which I don't think they would publicise without having hard evidence behind it. The reason asian countries don't have the players is one the western countries (in my opinion) are generally more developed countries especially about 30-50 years ago. Therefore it's much more likely for those with disposable income to donate and even buy supporting teams merch therefore able to invest into stadiums holding larger crowds funding more tickets increasing money in order to buy better player, managers etc. therefore having a solid foundation in football allowing them to grow a fan base from those not from local area as well. Secondly, if you were a decent asain footballer you would rather go to countries with better pay like Honda, Son, Kagawa did. Just because you don't have decent players from your country doesnt mean you can't be a fan of the sport. Football fans come from all over the world from Asia aren't just from China and Japan but all countries not just countries with a decent team.

2. FIFA paid Australian defense to act as statues to make sure messi makes a low shot to the goal.
3. FIFA magically increased Martinez's arm length when the Australian player hit for the goal in the dying moments.
4. FIFA made an incredibly tight angle assist to make sure Molina gets his debut goal for Argentina against Netherlands.
5. FIFA made sure that someone stomp Acuna's foot inside the D box to make sure Messi gets a penalty.
6. FIFA paid Van Dijk and Bergwin a ransom to make sure that they miss their penalty.
7. FIFA made Croatian GK to colloide on Alvarez to give Messi a penalty.
8. FIFA paid the entire Croatian defense to make sure Alvarez gets a solo goal.
9. FIFA gave Alvarez a magical assist to make sure that Argentina reaches the final.
10. FIFA paid dembele heavy bucks to clip Di Maria so that Messi would get his penalty and to play against France. French football found this and hence he was removed in the 40th minute in the final.

Not completely for example I was watching Sevilla against Huesca in laliga and Sevilla scored two valid goals and one penalty wasn't called, then Huesca scored a goal that was affside before it even got to the shot and the VAR didn't call offside, against Valencia sevilla was robbed again of a clear penalty in the last minute which if they would have scored they would be in position for champions league rn

I will never forget this tournament. I remember watching France, Argentina, and Portugal (golden generation) exited in the first round. I remember the Italy game like it was yesterday. At first, I wanted to see an upset, but in the right way. Then the fouls and disallowed goal for Italy before Korea winning I had a suspicion that the match was somewhat fixed; but then it got worse when they played Spain. As the narrator said, Western Europe would have been in outrage if my Germans lost to them in the Semis. 2002 World Cup in my eyes is considered the corrupted World Cup.
I'm Portuguese and Portugal played badly at that tournament. Luis Figo was a dud. Reminds me of Ronaldo never showing up at key moments. Paulo Bento who played for Portugal vs Korea at that WC has been Korea's coach for the last four years so have yourself a seat.
