You're doing an important job in metal right now: showing people that it's okay to experiment and that not every record has to use the same 3 (more like ONE) speaker. These sounded so good. Wasn't huge on the Tonespeak. Cannot wait to hear more non typical speakers used in metal context.

DV77 is my favorite speaker too. Ive been blending it the past year with my vm1265, and its my favorite speaker blend. The DV77 I find is tighter than a V30 and doesnt have that harshness the V30 has. I will say while the DV77 is mid focused, its also scooped where it needs to be, in the honkey low mids. AlNiCo Silver Bells for metal in my case!!! I really want to try out Weber's silver bell AlNiCo speakers for metal tones.
I just want to prove that metal tones could have been done in the 1960s with a Maestro pedal and a JTM45.

I love the Alnico blue. I compared it to the g12h-30 and they’re voiced so close it’s insane. You want 120w 412 that sounds similar to the blue, look at the g12h-30 anniversary

Astonished by the difference in speakers! I use Bogrens Rhythm IR packs with the Neural DSP Soldano and I can really lower the gain to get a darker, clearer heavy tone for doom/black symphonic metal riffs.
It’s hard to find the perfect blend.

To my taste the Alnico Blues don't really make sense together :/ Essentially harsh metal sounds, sound best with the blend of ceramic speakers. It's not in vain that we all love V30's and Greenbacks.
I adore the Alnico Blue but it's SO specific and has that rich high definition Alnico vintage UK sound. Works beautifully in clean to saturated clean- mid overdrive scenarios to my taste.
I know that Van Halen used to combine the alnico JBL's with ceramic speakers and it really worked for him so I guess it still is personal and dependable on what are the circumstances.
I LOVE your speakers videos. Please keep making them.
    Cheers.

The Blue is pretty much the Brian May sound right there, sounded pretty biggins mc'large on Innuendo (assuming he used that).

I play with slanted 2 x10 inch speaker... Love 10inch speaker for high gain. And surprisingly, in the end, after trying a lot, I do not use British voiced speaker (too boxy)... :)

If you have enough distortion you can play metal on basically any cab. I think it's just a matter of taste and it's fun to experiment when trying to avoid that standard Mesa V30 sound.

I think the Celestion Ruby is the best of the Alnicos for metal. You should try all four Celestion Alnicos in a video!

The Vox AC30 (mainly the older models) are a powerhouse for metal. It's like your guitar tone is made of glass and cuts through a mix with almost no work

the Blue sounds great, for some reason reminds me of the speakers in my 90's Valvestate cab ? .....that is your micing of the Engle through the Blue ....makes a similar tone to My 5150 block, or Jet City JCA50 through my Valvestate cab...In the room...which is odd hahaha

Big lesson here is if a person is stuck in a mic placement rut, always positioning a ''safe'' microphone in a ''safe'' way that they are familiar with, then they are missing so so soooo much of the overall picture. Brian May is who comes to mind when I think of the Celestion Blue because his Queen recordings capture the main essence of it. However, when you listen to those Queen guitar sounds closely and imagine what was possible, ie how far they COULD have been pushed in different directions with different amps and mics and processing, it boggles the mind as to why more Blues aren't in use today. The outer 1/3 of a Celestion Blue cone is a very interesting place when you have the nerve and time to explore it.

Only started watching the channel recently, so don't know if I've missed it or not. But have you tried WGS speakers and The Hesu Demon speakers ?? The demons sound awesome. Don't know if the demon would sound good enough on its own or as a blend. That's something I'd quite like to see

I have an alnico cream which is also clean and precise asf sounding and aggressive like the blue I think combining that with a Dv77 would be crushing
