- We got a call for another Can Am Maverick X3, at Sand Hollow, that had a broken wheel. He jumped too fast over a dune! Tim got some incredible drone footage on the way out and back! Awesome views of sand hollow reservoir, and pine valley mountain. Matt answers some more youtube comments as the yellow banana drives along the dunes.

Thanks for watching, from all of us at Matt's off-road recovery!
Who else really liked the drone footage and the q&a footage at the same time?👌👌
It’s always interesting, to me, to here about the business side of things.
I did too!
I did
Q&a stuff is always good
I liked the Q&A during the driving portion too. That's awesome and great way to do Q&A.
The drone footage is awesome in this one.
It really shows the beauty of the area much moreso than an in cab video!
The lake looks like mercury
Made the XJ look like a little toy.
Yes, very nice angle and view distance in these shots
Yep, that's good stuff.
The drone footage was really cool Matt. And the Q&A is always interesting.
This channel is absolutely addictive. You are combining four to five of my favorite things in life. Work, Jeeps, dogs, travel( I'm on Maryland's Eastern Shore so Utah looks a bit different than home.) I hope this video thing helps your bottom line cuz I'd much rather watch this than anything on TV.
Love the Q&A during the drive.
And drone footage!
Hope you do the Q and A again soon.
I'm addicted to these videos
I can quit anytime I want to, I just don’t want to.
Hy Matt,
I am from Romania and i'm watching your chanel.
I can say I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL.
I have the same business Like yours.
I have learned verry much from your videos.
Keep up the god job!
Greetings from far romanian land!!!
That landscape is absolutely gorgeous
I can not understand why somebody sitting in front of their computer thinks they know more about how to do your job than you do. Decades of hands on experience have taught you how best to do things.
It's funny how since I've started watching Matt I've ended up with a XJ in my garage being restored and soon lifted.
Love the drone footage showing the Rugged Beauty if the area. And, the equally rugged "Big Yellow" ratchet straps to secure the load. I use those for my ATV, maybe overkill but they NEVER fail or stretch. My buddy uses the little 1" orange units & he has gone through 6 sets of them; mainly because he & they, are cheap.
I liked this video. Q and A. Drone footage and a recovery. Looking forward to your next adventure.
The drone shot is wonderful. I absolutely love it. |||| One of the things I like most is how polite, gentle, and kind you are with your customers, and viewers. Your FAQ responses in this video were the soul of patience.
love the doggies they are a big part of you channel , always have been a dog lover, and you treat them good ! love the channel Matt.
Max is pumped to get out there..
You have 2 really good dogs for where the came from. They are loyal to a good family including the staff. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for rescuing the dogs!
That drone follow along is a sweet shot. More of that, especially up in the hills.
Seems to be a lot of broken side by sides in your neck of the woods. Nice video. Sound is much better and the use of drone video was great
That drone following the Jeep was awesome. Great shot
Really nice drone footage. Really expands the perspective of such a beautiful area.
the drone footage really shows how amazingly healthy (and lucky) those two dogs are!
Just sitting around bored as heck and just got the notification love it every time it happens❤️
I don’t understand how there could be any thumbs down on any of your videos. Keep up the good work. I think part of why I like these so much is that I’m not the one that’s stuck out in the mud.
Who else likes Matt’s selection of music? I like that he sticks to a couple of memorable tunes rather than constantly changing random tracks. It gives a “Winder brand” feeling to the videos!
I have to change my ringtone. Every time you get a call on camera, I stop the video and try to answer my phone. PS. As a mechanical engineer, I'm impressed with your ability to design changes to your vehicle and choose adequate members to connect to for recovery.
Loved the drone view of him driving in the dunes and the Q&A.
I too loved the drone footage. I wondered what it looked like around the tunnel. The q&a was very informative also. Thanks for taking us along on another great adventure.
You should start stocking spare suspension parts for those Can-Am Mavericks and Polaris RZR. Especially the Maverick. It seems those break in the dunes quite often. Great drone footage also. Follow me mode with hyperlapse? Enjoyed the Q&A season. Of all the recovery vehicles out there, I can't think of a better one than what you already have. Light, small, maneuver, powerful I6, very capable off road, and room for people/equipment/dogs. What more could you ask for.
You wind up recovering so many can ams, all my commercials are for Can Ams.
I just got done binge watching all the videos and then this one pops up!!! Hell yes!!!
Great question and answer session. Always learn something. Thank you.
Once I saw “4years” I knew it would be a good show. Thanks videographer
Lady is the leader & Max let's her lead 👏 good job
Anybody notice how Matt trained the dogs to find the vehicle needing recovery ? Brilliant !
DEFINITELY like the Drone following you into the recovery site vs in the vehicle video 👍🏻👍🏻 KUDOS!
this was a big step up in production value compared to videos made just a few months ago. nice work!
It always amazes me how many people think they know how to do someone else's job better than they do. Really, people?
As a deputy I really know what you mean
That should be a bumper sticker.
I love your channel and all the footage , keep it coming!! I liked the “ Q&A” but you are the one on the scene and like you have said in a prior “ Q&A “ yeah maybe could have done things different but at the time it worked . EXACTLY!!! I personally don’t appreciate other people’s opinions or criticism on how you did the recovery / extraction. You are there and making the judgement calls . Video does not put everything in perspective. You do an excellent job at what you do !! I think people should enjoy watching and maybe learn some techniques from watching and if they are ever near Hurricane Utah then they will know what to do to keep from having to call an “ off road recovery service “ . Love the videos !!
the shot with the drone following the car is awesome. had my playstation controller in the hands and "played" Matt's Off Road Recovery....just joking.
A Matt's Offroad Recovery game would be great! Which equipment do you need to bring (weight penalty for anything you don't use)? Response time scored, side quest for Mom & Dad, junkyard crash derby side quest. Earn upgrades to the jeep, and break parts if you abuse it. Ha!
Your dogs have a great life. Very physically fit. They are a joy to watch because I can tell they are having a great time.
They're one of the major attractions of your videos.
Love that old time ring tone!!
I agree 100% on the 816 wrecker. It's not needed where you are, you're doing terrific with what you have. I drove one for a few years at Ft. Ord in CA
Thanks for taking the time and effort to create these videos, they are very fun to watch. Also it's great that you show the spectacular scenery along the route.
Maybe you could give the ladies at the sentry house a couple of your hats, they always seem to be squinting into the sun to see you when you come in!......
You don’t need to replace a winner. The Jeep is a winner as we all have witnessed.
The recovery videos are great. The scenery in these videos is spectacular
Great combination of the Q & A during the drone footage and the panting dogs! Max & Lady are part of the reason I love watching these!
Assume on the information & Q&A portion as was thinking about starting an off road recovery business up where I live, So Thank You Matt for giving that Info. I'm still catching up on all Your videos. Up here in BC, Jamie Davis along with Discovery Channel started a TV Show called "Highway Thru Hell" out of Hope, BC doing recoveries that what got My Interest up in seeing from different Countries & challenges faced. One day I hope to see Your countryside for real as from Your videos, looks so beautiful with all the different colours & layers of the mountain sides compared to up here. Shows God's beauty for sure.
Pretty sure that kinetic rope is double braided nylon. I use a 2 1/2 inch one pulling farm tractors out of the mud quite often. Love the channel. Brings back many memories being stuck.
That's a great job to do. No stress, well paid, fun to do.
If you think that off-road recovery is stress-free, you need to watch more videos. Just reaching the customers can be a real problem, and some of the recoveries (like the one whose video title included the words "we could have died") are quite dangerous.
I really want to make a trip to Sand Hollow one of these days with my XJ
I was there last Thanksgiving. It's awesome!! I want to move there now...
The dunes and the colors, especially from above, are gorgeous! It was fun to see the perspective from the drone when you went through the under the road entrance to the dunes.
I love the scenery footage when on the way to the job. Also like the way you pause the fast forward for the park ranger station. Call me crazy, but I love it.
Great video Matt and team! Thanks.
I love all the new camera's. Your videos consistently improve every time. This only feeds the addiction. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
I enjoyed the Q&A during the drive, almost as much as I like Horses & Trains
Great video, and great question and answer section
Another great video, loved the drone footage 👍🏻
Love all the footage you post. I'm in Australia, makes me want to come over for a holiday. Keep up the good work
The drone footage in this one was very nice. With the play of light on the dunes, the vehicle tracks.
Love 💕 Love the drone footage!! Really like you including the Q&A Matt. 😉 Give my best to Casey, Tim, Ed and the gang❤️🐞
Hey Matt's off-road recovery!!, those military vehicles are EXTREMELY HEAVY, for what you're doing (ask me how I know that). Especially when you hit the soft sand!!, soft like 🎂 flower!!
That’s true l I’ve been there and the earth is more mike talcum powder.
@@jamesscott1932 You know it!!😬
Have to be at 5psi or on tracks
@@RJ_Cormac I hear what you are staying!!, but I've seen trucks (Ford 5500, Dodge 6500 trucks, etc.), with 2 p.s.i, with bead lockers!, and they still get stuck!, just dig themselves deeper into the sand!! Again it's a weight issue!! And tracks?, I've seen them in Glamis!!, they don't work very well in competition Hill area (especially when they are at a complete dead stop).
To date the best video that you have posted that I have seen. Superior photography and sound quality.
I love the xj
At 12:20 you can see the landing hole of that thing! Liked the Q&A Matt! Love Sand Hollow!
Steve Kroff 12:40 the hole
@@joegilly1523 Thanks for catching that!
Just started watching this channel and I am awestruck at how gorgeous the area you live is.
The drone shots are great. It was fun watching the dogs running all over.
As a fellow off road enthusiast i find myself really addicted to these recovery videos! The simple editing and detailed filming and explainations is amazing keep up the good work winder🙏👌👍
I love the airol view that is so cool, I can see the awesome landscape, really cool Matt thanks.
Matt and crew get my vote for the off road Nobel prize
Best drone video yet. Best video & sound edit yet.
Great editing and drone footage!
You forgot to slap the can am on the top and say "she's not going anywhere"!
Great video guys. love the scenery and the dogs running along the Jeep. I hope the guy is Ok, I realize you cannot force them or anything to get help. Very glad to see you asking him and hopefully he gets checked. I have seen the delayed effects and damage from accidents and it is not fun. Some times when you are having fun you forget or take a chance you should not.
Hi Lizzy!
Xcellent drone footage following the banana. Thank you!
perfect episode top down drone view + answering questions on the way all makes interesting viewing
when 1st found your channel and started viewing your videos ,i had a ton of questions but as i watched more all of my questions were answered. really enjoyed watching your channel!
Love the Drone Footage. Give more perspective of the areas you are working in.
Nice job with the drone filming on this video. You guys are getting better with it!! That view of the lake towards the end was like the cherry in top!!
WOW!! From the air , you can see how spectacular this place really is ..........And enjoy the dogs playing more 😊
Great drone footage! Matt is a bad ass, easily backs up trailer to where ramps are perfectly placed. My dog really thought the trailer squeaking noise was extra interesting.
Premium evening entertainment!
So many things I like about watching your videos, thank you for putting them out.
My 2 year old always watches youtube on my phone on our way home, he usually watches paw patrol and things but when we got home yesterday he was watching one of your recovery videos. LOL I was tickled
Thanks for the answer on the 6x6 5ton military truck, I always wondered how one would do out there off-road.
Steering your broken side by side onto the trailer shall now be known as “the ride of shame”. Lol. Nice recovery Matt.
Another great episode! The Q&A was fun but I have to say something about all the "you should get this" comments. You don't go duck hunting with a Howitzer, you take what you know will do the job and travel as light as possible. The man knows his business, pretty arrogant to think you know better than he does what equipment he needs.
I drove through Hurricane this past weekend to pick up an XJ in cedar city. I saw one of your trucks working. Was pretty cool.
Awesome 👍 thank you for answering my question about the antennas Matt 👍
Love the drone view! Those Dogs!
Yes! The drone footage is simply fantastic along with the dogs!!!
Loving the drone footage. Nice rescue!
Matt, this may be the first time I’ve ever commented on a RUclips video. Been binge watching the channel for the past few days, the drone footage in this video is an incredible perspective. Throwing up a drone when you hit the dirt at ~1.5 speed with the classic theme song would be next level. Regardless, keep up the great content!
Ditto to the previous question: Really great aerial footage and the Q&A was very informative.
Great q & a. Another great episode.
Nicely done! You're getting better at the video stuff. Already great at the towing stuff. Very satisfying! Wonderful!!
Happy day Happy day!!!! I got more excited than Max and Lady when I saw this new video!😁🥳🙉👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
These drone shots are life bro.
Matt I'm running out of videos to watch.
But the re-runs work.
Love you and Paul's videos
Everyone is an expert. Just as your sand dunes are different than sand from the beach, as I am sure the dunes are different in say St Anthony Idaho. A local is going to know far more about how to do things the right way for their area.
Here in Montana we have differences in snow and mud. Dry snow is a far different animal than heavy wet snow, for what works. Mud in western Montana tends to have larger particles and cleans out of the proper tread. The flatter areas have gumbo that sticks to everything. I have seen trucks with big mudslingers stuck. The mud packed so tight into the fenders that it lifts the front fenders from the vehicle.
If the road says “impassable when wet”, that does not mean to continue ahead. Keep up the great videos and ignore the arm chair tow masters.
