- The new Persona 3 Reload is HERE! I was going to wait a little bit before diving in but then Gamesight (+Atlus) provided me with a code for the game and I couldn't resist! Thank you to THEM for giving me a free copy of this game to play! I am so hyped! LETS DELVE IN! WAHOO!

Its common for Japanese schools to have school stores where you can get food. But it’s true Gekkoukan is a rich high end school.
It's the same in central Africa. You don't get school food. Your parents give you money then during the break you buy food from one of the stores inside the school
It is a private school that holds all grades (shown by how ken is enrolled and Junpei saying he transferred when he was in middle school)

Not to brag or anything BUT I went to a school like gekko (primary, middle and high all in one high end stuff), and we had whole ass restaurants inside our campus. I got in with a scholarship so I didn't really have money for that stuff LOL

Bro not part of chat not understanding how hard it would be to use a gun as an evoker if you also have a real gun on you. That extra second or more to confirm you're not gonna blow a hole through your head can easily be avoided by just not using a real gun, especially when we see how just a second or two with Yukari is deadly

There's also the matter of getting one as a high-schooler in Japan in 2009. Sure, you could argue the chairman could get them one, but he's not that irresponsible, and personas are infinitely more powerful than a gun would be (as shown in P5, where they really only function as slightly stronger yet limited basic attacks).

I know it’s exciting to watch someone get into a series you like but these games are considerably more fun going in not having even vague ideas about where things are doing (Edit: further into the stream, thank you part of chat for saying this as well👍)

One of your chatters tried to tell you that Reload lacks the content from both FES and Portable. This is false.
Reload literally has all of the content from FES and Portable besides the Answer and the female protagonist.
when ppl say that I can’t help but wonder what they’re talking about. Are they talking about the answer? Do they really think no FES journey content is there? So much misinformation just thrown around. Especially with the Junpei FEMC romance thing, so glad some ppl corrected that chatter

@@VBandit47 typical persona audience. Some ppl who play persona have previously established audiences, so it isn’t a problem. But if a streamer starts attracting new ppl cuz they’re playing Persona, you’ll get a lot of ppl who don’t know when to be quiet. Especially with their “clever” jokes.
When she asked about the fusion stuff even tho in like a minute she’d get to learn about the V room and ppl still felt the need to tell her, I just felt dumb for even trying to keep it so she could experience it firsthand
@@ma.2089 She definitely needs to talk to her mods about being more proactive about deleting spoilers, alluding, leading, unrequested help, etc.
Fusing is very very important. You get xp boosts based on your social link ranks and most of the personas only get 4-5 extra skills as they level up. Eventually the xp needed to level up gets exponentially higher. So you need to fuse and ditch old ones pretty regularly to keep up with enemies.
It was so weird to play this game at first without the fusion calculator thankfully they updated it for reload
She's played mainline SMT, I'm pretty sure she knows the value of fusion.
@@HollowGolemsocial links will be new though. But tbh they arent that important for combat they give nice bonuses that help unlock the better abilities on personas during fusion.
But the game isnt so difficult that they are vital. Its more worth doing the social links to see all of the stories. Main reason i do them all is because i'm a completionist and want to experience everything the game has.
I've seen plenty of SMT playthroughs from people getting into the series from Persona, so it's pretty refreshing to see the opposite for once.
Do they all die at Matador over and over before learning you're supposed to use buffs?
Also I love how ppl make fun of exposition Ikutski for explaining things to Yukari, saying she already knows, as if she didn’t try to use her evoker on a human the day before lol

Edit: I had to go boot up my xbox to remind myself what I've named my P3 Protag, but I went with Shosei Yuzuki.
To translate it, that means something along the lines of "A born winner under a winter moon"
To translate it in a _funny way,_ his name is Chad Moonkid.

Already getting people coming to my streams of this game trying to spoil it. But jokes on them, I already beat p3 portable, so nothing for them to spoil. Lol
If you tried to tell Yukari it must be fate being in the same class the game would tell you your courage isn't high enough yet haha. Also the Persona 2 series was about rumors so that's why they're mentioned so much in the early game here.

One other thing to remember... you usually want to REGISTER all the personas you have before fusing them together... when you obtain a new one, it gets auto-registered in the state where you first get it, but as they level up and get new skills, you want to re-register them to save those new abilities and levels... otherwise you'll summon them back as they were originally.

When I play, my usual thought is if I don't have at least 2 of a given skill card, take that... otherwise take money or XP, and only take the cups when I need healing or a buff.
Oh, dunno if anyone mentioned it, but if you have "network functions" enabled, it lets you see what other people did, or what other people answered for various questions/activities. Both a little cheaty AND a way to see if you forgot/missed a thing that was available at any given time.
The first time I'm not hurting see new persona player do combat 😂

I love the way they do difficulty in these games. I usually play on Normal, but if I just want to grind a character to catch up, or need to find more materials for crafting, I'm OK with flipping it to Peaceful so I can auto-combat fly through stuff faster. :)

Persona makes WAAAY more sense than Kingdom Hearts tho. And I’m saying this as a person who understands every game in the series (I gave up with the mobile games tho).
LOL, that's the ONE thing I hate about JRPGs.... or rather, ones that have been adapted for the west. In Japan, name order is Family then Given, and in the west it's Given then Family... and you never really know if they flipped it or not, unless it's labeled.... because some ports think they have to flip it for westerners, but others either don't, or forget about it.
This game makes me feel bad for Japanese millenials. One off day a week for school? And knowing how rough Japanese schools can be, thats a nightmare.
Wanna know something horribly funny? High school is seen as their golden years. Thats why so many stories take place then. Kids are taken care of, they have some free time to have fun, they get to meet friends, and join clubs….despite that amount of school work, cram school, exams, 6 days a week schooling, etc. it’s seen as the best time of their lives.
You can see why Persona 5 and 3 are the way they are. 5 dealing with the work force and injustices in many systems, as well as P3 dealing with the s*icide epidemic.

I think that's fine, some likes to take their time to immerse to the environment and experience + enjoy the story to its fullest. It's not a race after all, it's a game that's carried by the story and voice acting.
It also fits the message of the game - to live your life to its fullest.
