This is amazing and HIGHLY underrated. You just created a system which doesn't require constantly loading chunks, and effectively sends items to other locations wirelessly. It's quite frankly exactly what I've been looking for.
Next video planned is the same thing, but the mincarts dynamically load the chunks as they travel, as if they were a player. Unfortunately/fortunately Minecraft is not my day job so this will be after Easter. Got a few mincarts videos backed up while I find time to make more content.
No, Tango and Etho use a set of chunk loaders in the nether activated by the minecart. It's more complex, but ensures the mail gets there sooner (the design in the video would wait until normal Hermit activity loaded the chunks). There is a chunk loading approach on my channel, but still isn't the same as on HermitCraft. Still a little slower in my channel as I wait for the cart to be allowed back through the portal, Etho and Tango break and dispense the cart to reset the timer.

Is this how the mail system works on the Hermitcraft season 10 server?

The approach on HermitCraft is better.
